¹And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

¹БА шогирдони Худ низ гуфт: «Як марди сарватдор буд, ки амаддоре дошт, ва дар ҳаққи вай ба ӯ шикоят карданд, ки молу мулки ӯро исроф менамояд;

²And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

²«Вайро ҷеғ зада, гуфт: "Ин чист, ки дар ҳаққи ту шунидаам? Аз амалиёти худ ҳисобот деҳ, зеро ки дигар наметавонӣ амалдор бошй".

³Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

³«Он амалдор дар дили худ гуфт: "Чй кунам? Оғоям маро аз вазифаам маҳрум месозад: аз ӯҳдаи каландзанӣ намебароям, аз гадой шарм мекунам;

⁴I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

⁴"Медонам, чӣ кунам, то ки мардум, ҳангоми аз вазифа маҳрум шуданам, маро дар хонаҳои худ пазироӣ кунанд".

⁵So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

⁵«Ва ҳар яке аз қарздорони оғои худро ба танҳоӣ ҷеғ зада, ба якумин гуфт: "Ту аз оғои ман чӣ қадар қарздор ҳастй?"

⁶And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.

⁶«Гуфт: "Сад ченак равған". Ба вай гуфт: "Забонхати худро бигир ва зуд нишаста, панҷоҳ бинавис".

⁷Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

⁷«Баъд ба дигаре гуфт: "Ту чй қадар қарздор ҳастӣ?" Дар ҷавоб гуфт: "Сад ченак гандум". Ба вай гуфт: "Забонхати худро бигир ва ҳаштод бинавис".

⁸And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

⁸«Ва он оғо амалдори ноинсофро таъриф кард, ки оқилона рафтор кардааст; зеро ки писарони ин олам дар муомила бо мардуми насли худ аз писарони нур оқилтаранд.

⁹And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

⁹«Ва Ман ба шумо мегӯям: бо сарвати ноинсофона барои худ дӯстон пайдо кунед, то ки онҳо дар вақти тамом шудани он шуморо ба масканҳои ҷовидонй пазироӣ кунанд.

¹⁰He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

¹⁰«Касе ки дар чизи андак мӯътамад бошад, дар чизи бисьёр низ мӯътамад аст, ва касе ки дар чизи андак ноинсофӣ кунад, дар чизи бисьёр низ ноинсоф аст.

¹¹If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

¹¹«Пас, модоме ки шумо дар сарвати ноинсофона мӯътамад набудед, кист, ки сарвати ҳақиқиро ба шумо месупурда бошад?

¹²And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

¹²«Ва модоме ки дар чизи бегона мӯътамад набудед, кист, ки чизи худатонро ба шумо медода бошад?

¹³No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

¹³«Ҳеҷ ғулом ба ду оғо хизмат карда наметавонад: зеро ки ё аз яке нафрат карда, дигареро дӯст хоҳад дошт; ё ба яке часпида, дигареро хор хоҳад дид. Шумо наметавонед ба Худо ва ба мамуно хизмат кунед».

¹⁴And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

¹⁴Ва фарисиён, ки зарпараст буданд, ҳамаи инро шунида, Ӯро тамасхур карданд.

¹⁵And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

¹⁵Ба онҳо гуфт: «Шумо худро пеши мардум одил вонамуд мекунед, вале Худо аз дилҳои шумо огоҳ аст: зеро он чи дар назари мардум олидараҷа аст, пеши Худо зишт аст.

¹⁶The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

¹⁶«Таврот ва суҳафи анбиё то Яҳьёст; аз он вакт ин ҷониб Малакути Худо башорат дода мешавад, ва ҳар кас бо ҷидду ҷаҳд ба он дохил мегардад.

¹⁷And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

¹⁷«Лекин фанои осмон ва замин осонтар аст аз он ки нуктае аз Таврот маҳв шавад.

¹⁸Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

¹⁸«Ҳар кӣ зани худро талоқ дода, зани дигаре гирад, зино карда бошад; ва ҳар кй зани талоқшударо гирад, зино карда бошад.

¹⁹There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

¹⁹«Шахси сарватдоре буд, ва либосҳои арғувон ва катон дар бар мекард, ва ҳар рӯз базми боҳашамат барпо мекард.

²⁰And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

²⁰«Ва Лаъзор ном мискине назди дарвозаи ӯ мехобид, ва баданаш пур аз захм буд;

²¹And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

²¹«Ва орзу дошт аз он чи аз дастархони он сарватдор меафтод, птиками худро сер кунад; ва сагон омада, захмҳои ӯро мелесиданд.

²²And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

²²«Вақте ки он мискин мурд, фариштагон ӯро ба оғӯши Иброҳим бурданд; он сарватдор низ мурд, ва ӯро дафн карданд;

²³And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

²³«Ва дар дӯзах ӯ, дар ҳолате ки азобу уқубат мекашид, чашм андохта, аз дур Иброҳимро бо Лаъзор, ки дар оғӯшаш буд, дид

²⁴And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

²⁴«Ва фарьёд зада, гуфт: "Эй падарам Иброҳим! Ба ман марҳамат кун ва Лаъзорро бифирист, то ки нӯги ангушташро ба об тар карда, забони маро салқин гардонад, зеро ки ман дар аланга азият мекашам".

²⁵But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

²⁵«Лекин Иброҳим гуфт: "Эй фарзандам! Ба хотир овар, ки дар зиндагиат чизҳои хуб насиби ту ва чизҳои бад насиби Лаъзор шуда буд; акнун вай дар ин ҷо фароғат меёбад, ва ту азоб мекашӣ;

²⁶And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

²⁶«Ва илова бар ҳамаи ин, дар миёни мо ва шумо вартаи бузурге воқеъ аст, ба тавре ки онҳое ки аз ин ҷо назди шумо гузаштан мехоҳанд, наметавонанд, ҳамчунин аз он ҷо назди мо намегузаранд".

²⁷Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

²⁷«Ва ӯ гуфт: "Пас, эй падар, аз ту илтимос мекунам, ки вайро ба хонаи падари ман бифирист.

²⁸For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

²⁸«Зеро ки ман панҷ бародар дорам: бигзор онҳоро таъкид кунад, ки онҳо ҳам ба ин макони азобу укубат наоянд".

²⁹Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

²⁹«Иброҳим ба ӯ гуфт: "Онҳо Мусо ва анбиё доранд; ба суханонашон гӯш кунанд".

³⁰And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

³⁰«Аммо ӯ гуфт: "Не, падарам Иброҳим! Лекин агар яке аз мурдагон назди онҳо равад, тавба хоҳанд кард".

³¹And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

³¹«Ба ӯ гуфт: "Модоме ки ба Мусо ва анбиё гӯш намедиҳанд, ҳатто агар яке аз мурдагон эҳьё шавад ҳам, бовар нахоҳанд кард"».
