¹And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

¹ВА Исои пур аз Рӯҳулқудс аз Ӯрдун баргашт, ва Рӯҳ Ӯро ба биёбон бурд,

²Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

²Ва чиҳил рӯз Ӯро иблис меозмуд, ва дар он рӯзҳо Ӯ чизе нахӯрд; ва баъд аз тамом шудани онҳо гурусна монд.

³And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

³Ва иблис ба Ӯ гуфт: «Агар Ту Писари Худо бошй, ба ин санг бигӯй, ки нон шавад».

⁴And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

⁴Исо ба вай ҷавоб дод: «Навишта шудааст, ки одамизод на танҳо бо нон зиндагӣ мекунад, балки бо ҳар каломи Худо».

⁵And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

⁵Ва Ӯро ба кӯҳи баланде бардошта бароварда, ҳамаи мамлакатҳои ҷаҳонро дар лаҳзае ба Ӯ нишон дод,

⁶And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

⁶Ва иблис ба Ӯ гуфт: «Тамоми салтанат ва ҷалоли онҳоро ба Ту медиҳам, зеро ки он ба дасти ман супурда шудааст, ва ман, ба ҳар кӣ хоҳам, онро медиҳам;

⁷If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

⁷«Пас, агар Ту ба ман саҷда кунй, ҳамааш аз они Ту мешавад».

⁸And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

⁸Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Аз Ман дур шав, эй шайтон; навишта шудааст, ки: "Ба Худованд Худои худ сачда кун ва танҳо Ӯро ибодат намо"».

⁹And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

⁹Ва Ӯро ба Ерусалим бурда, бар кунгураи маъбадгузошт, ва ба Ӯгуфт: «Агар Ту Писари Худо бошӣ, аз ин ҷо Худро ба зер андоз;

¹⁰For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

¹⁰«3еро ки навишта шудааст: "Ба фариштагони Худ дар бораи Ту амр хоҳад дод, ки Туро нигоҳдорй кунанд;

¹¹And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

¹¹«Ва Туро бар кафҳои худ бардошта хоҳанд бурд, ки мабодо пои Худро ба санге бизанй"».

¹²And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

¹²Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Гуфта шудааст, ки: "Худованд Худои худро наозмой"».

¹³And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

¹³Ва иблис тамоми озмоишро ба итмом расонда, то муддате аз Ӯ дур шуд.

¹⁴And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

¹⁴Ва Исо бо қуввати рӯҳ ба Ҷалил баргашт, ва овозаи Ӯ дар тамоми кишвар паҳн шуд.

¹⁵And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

¹⁵Ва Ӯ дар куништҳои онҳо таълим медод, ва ҳама Ӯро ситоиш мекарданд.

¹⁶And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

¹⁶Ва ба Носира, ки дар он ҷо тарбият ёфта буд, омад ва, аз рӯи одати Худ, рӯзи шанбе ба куништ даромад ва барои қироат бархост.

¹⁷And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

¹⁷Ба Ӯ китоби Ишаъёи набиро доданд; ва Ӯ китобро кушода, ҷоеро ёфт, ки чунин навишта шуда буд:

¹⁸The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

¹⁸"Рӯҳи Худованд бар Ман аст; зеро ки Ӯ Маро тадҳин намудааст, то ки ба мискинон башорат диҳам, ва Маро фиристодааст, то ки шикастадилонро шифо бахшам, озодиро ба асирон ва биноиро ба кӯрон мавъиза намоям, мазлумонро озод кунам.

¹⁹To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

¹⁹"Ва соли таваҷҷӯҳи Худовандро мавъиза намоям".

²⁰And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

²⁰Ва китобро пӯшонда, ба ходим дод ва нишаст; ва чашмони ҳама дар куништ ба Ӯ дӯхта шуда буд.

²¹And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

²¹Ва Ӯ ба сухан оғоз намуда, ба онҳо гуфт: «Имрӯз ин навищта, ки шумо гӯш кардед, ба иҷро расидааст».

²²And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

²²Ва ҳама ба Ӯ шаҳодат медоданд, ва аз суханони файзбахше ки аз даҳонаш мебаромад, мутааҷҷиб шуда, мегуфтанд: «Оё Ӯ гшсари Юсуф нест?»

²³And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

²³Ба онҳо гуфт: «Албатта, щумо ба Ман ин мақолро хоҳед гуфт: "Эйтабиб! Худатро шифобидеҳ; ҳарончишунидаем, ки дар Кафарнаҳум воқеъ шудааст, ин ҷо низ, дар ватани Худ бикун"».

²⁴And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

²⁴Ва гуфт: «Ба ростӣ ба шумо мегӯям, ки ҳеҷ пайғамбаре дар зодгоҳи худ мақбул нест.

²⁵But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

²⁵«Аз рӯи ҳақиқат ба шумо мегӯям: бисьёр бевазанон дар Исроил дар айёми Ильёс буданд, ки он вақт осмон се солу шаш моҳ баста щуда буд, ба тавре ки дар тамоми рӯи замин қаҳтии сахте рӯй дод,

²⁶But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

²⁶«Вале Ильёс назди ҳеҷ яке аз онҳо фиристода нашуд, балки фақат назди бевазане ба Сорфатои Сидӯн;

²⁷And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

²⁷«Ва бисьёр махавиён дар Исроил дар айёми Элишои набӣ буданд, вале ҳеҷ яке аз онҳо пок нашуд, балки фақат Наамони сурьёнй».

²⁸And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

²⁸Тамоми аҳли куништ инро шунида, пур аз ғазаб шуданд,

²⁹And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

²⁹Ва бархоста, Ӯро аз шаҳр бадар карданд ва бар қуллаи кӯҳе ки шаҳрашон бар он сохта шуда буд, бурданд, то ки Ӯро ба зер афкананд;

³⁰But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

³⁰Аммо Ӯ аз миёни онҳо гузашта, ба роҳи Худ рафт.

³¹And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.

³¹Ва ба Кафарнаҳум, шаҳри Ҷалил, омад, ва дар рӯзҳои шанбе онҳоро таълим медод.

³²And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

³²Ва онҳо аз таълими Ӯ дар ҳайрат монданд, зеро ки каломи Ӯ боқудрат буд.

³³And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,

³³Дар куништ касе буд, ки рӯҳи деви палид дошт, ва бо овози баланд фарьёд зада, гуфт:

³⁴Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

³⁴«Туро бо мо чӣ кор аст, эй Исои Носирӣ? Ту барои нест кардани мо омадаӣ! Ман медонам, ки Ту кистӣ, эй Куддуси Худо!»

³⁵And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

³⁵Исо вайро манъ карда, гуфт: «Хомӯш шав ва аз вай берун ой!» Ва дев ӯро дар миёна афтонда, аз ӯ берун шуд, ва ҳеҷ осебе ба ӯ нарасонд.

³⁶And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

³⁶Хдма ба воҳима афтоданд, ва ба якдигар мегуфтанд: «Ин чӣ гапест, ки Ӯ бо қудрат ва қувват ба арвоҳи палқц амр мефармояд, ва онҳо берун меоянд?»

³⁷And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.

³⁷Ва овозаи Ӯ дар тамоми гирду атроф паҳн шуд.

³⁸And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

³⁸Ӯ аз куништ баромада, ба хонаи Шимъӯн омад; модарарӯси Шимъӯн ба табларзаи сахте гирифтор буд; ва дар хусуси вай аз Ӯ илтимос карданд.

³⁹And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

³⁹Ва Ӯ наздики вай омада, табларзаро манъ кард; ва он нест шуд. Вай дарҳол бархоста, ба парастории онҳо машғул гашт.

⁴⁰Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

⁴⁰Дар вақти фурӯ рафтани офтоб ҳамаи онҳое ки беморони гирифтори касалиҳои гуногун доштанд, онҳоро назди Ӯ меоварданд, ва Ӯ ба ҳар яке аз онҳо даст гузошта, онҳоро шифо медод.

⁴¹And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

⁴¹Девҳо низ аз бисьёр касон берун омада, бо фарьёд мегуфтанд: «Ту Масеҳ Писари Худо ҳастй». Аммо Ӯ онҳоро манъ карда, намегузошт сухан ронанд, зеро ки Масеҳ будани Ӯро медонистанд.

⁴²And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.

⁴²Чун субҳ дамид, Ӯ берун омада, бахилватгоҳе рафт, вале мардум Ӯро кофта ёфтанд ва назди Ӯ омаданд, ва Ӯро нигоҳ медоштанд, ки аз пешашон наравад.

⁴³And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

⁴³Ба онҳо гуфт: «Ман бояд ба шаҳрҳои дигар низ аз Малакути Худо башорат диҳам, чунки барои ҳамин фиристода шудаам».

⁴⁴And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

⁴⁴Ва дар куништҳои Ҷалил мавъиза мекард.
