¹Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

¹ОН дувоздаҳро даъват намуда, бар ҳамаи девҳо, ва барои шифо додани касалиҳо ба онҳо кувват ва қудрат бахшид,

²And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

²Ва онҳоро фиристод, то ки Малакути Худоро мавъиза намоянд ва беморонро шифо диҳанд.

³And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

³Ба онҳо гуфт: «Барои роҳ ҳеҷ чизе нагиред: на асое, на тӯрбае, на ноне, на пуле; ва набояд ду пероҳан дошта бошед;

⁴And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

⁴«Ва ба ҳар ҳона, ки даромадед, дар он ҷо бимонед ва аз он ҷо боз ба роҳ дароед;

⁵And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

⁵«Ва агар дар ягон ҷо шуморо қабул накунанд, вақте ки аз он шаҳр берун меравед, ғубори пойҳои худро биафшонед, то ки шаҳодате бар онҳо гардад».

⁶And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

⁶Онҳо рафтанд ва деҳ ба деҳ гашта, дар ҳама ҷо башорат медоданд ва шифо мебаҳшиданд.

⁷Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

⁷Вақте ки тетрарҳ Ҳиродус овозаи тамоми амалиёти Ӯро шунавид, дар ҳайрат афтод: зеро баъзе касон мегуфтанд, ки Яҳьё аз мурдагон эҳьё шудааст;

⁸And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

⁸Дигарон мегуфтанд, ки Ильёс зоҳир гардидааст; вале баъзеи дигарон мегуфтанд, ки яке аз анбиёи қадим эҳьё шудааст.

⁹And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

⁹Ва Ҳиродус гуфт: «Ман сари_Яҳьёро аз танаш ҷудо кардаам; пас, Ин кист, ки дар бораи Ӯ чунин гапҳоро мешунавам?» Ва меҳост Ӯро бубинад.

¹⁰And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

¹⁰Ҳаввориён баргашта, корҳои худро ба Ӯ нақл карданд; ва Ӯ онҳоро алоҳида ҳамроҳи Худ гирифта, ба ҷои хилвате рафт, ки дар қарибии Байт-Сайдо ном шаҳре буд.

¹¹And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

¹¹Аммо мардум ҳабардор шуда, аз ақиби Ӯ рафтанд; ва Ӯ онҳоро пазироӣ карда, бо онҳо дар бораи Малакути Худо сӯҳбат кард ва касонеро, ки ба шифо эҳтиёҷ доштанд, шифо дод.

¹²And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

¹²Бегоҳирӯзӣ наздик буд. Он дувоздаҳ назди Ӯ омада, гуфтанд: «Мардумро ҷавоб деҳ, то ки ба қасаба ва деҳоти атроф рафта, манзил ва хӯрок барои худ пайдо кунанд, чунки ин ҷои мо як ҷои ҳилват аст».

¹³But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

¹³Ба онҳо гуфт: «Шумо ба онҳо ҳӯрок дихед». Гуфтанд: «Мо фақат панҷ нон ва ду моҳӣ дорем; оё рафта, барои тамоми ин мардум ҳӯроке бихарем?»

¹⁴For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

¹⁴Зеро ки онҳо тақрибан панҷ ҳазор мард буданд. Лекин Ӯ ба шогирдони Худ гуфт: «Онҳоро дастадаста панҷоҳнафарӣ шинонед».

¹⁵And they did so, and made them all sit down.

¹⁵Ва чунин карданд, ва ҳамаро шинонданд.

¹⁶Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

¹⁶Ва Ӯ панҷ нон ва ду моҳиро гирифта ва ба осмон нигариста, онҳоро баракат дод ва пора карда, ба шогирдонаш дод, то пеши мардум гузоранд.

¹⁷And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

¹⁷Ҳама хӯрданду сер шуданд; ва аз пораҳои боқимонда дувоздаҳ сабадро пур карда бардоштанд.

¹⁸And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

¹⁸Боре, вақте ки Ӯ дар ҷои хилвате дуо мегуфт, ва шогирдонаш бо Ӯ буданд, Ӯ аз онҳо пурсид: «Мардум Маро кӣ мегӯянд?»

¹⁹They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

¹⁹Дар ҷавоб гуфтанд: «Баъэе магӯянд, ки Яҳьёи Таъмиддиҳандаӣ; баъзе мегӯянд, ки Ильёсй; ва баъзе мегӯянд, ки яке аз анбиёи қадим эҳьё шудааст».

²⁰He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

²⁰Аз онҳо пурсид: «Шумо Маро кӣ мегӯед?» Петрус дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Масеҳи Худо».

²¹And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

²¹Ва Ӯ ба онҳо фармони қатъӣ дод, ки инро ба касе нагӯянд;

²²Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

²²Ва гуфт, ки Писари Одам бояд бисьёр азоб кашад ва аз тарафи пирон, саркоҳинон ва китобдонон рад карда ва кушта шавад, ва дар рӯзи сеюм эҳьё шавад.

²³And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

²³Ва ба ҳама гуфт: «Агар касе хоҳад аз ақиби Ман биёяд, бояд хештанро инкор кунад ва салиби худро бардошта, Маро пайравӣ намояд;

²⁴For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

²⁴«Зеро ҳар кӣ ҷони худро раҳонидан хоҳад, онро барбод медиҳад; ва ҳар кй ҷони худро дар роҳи Ман барбод диҳад, онро мераҳонад;

²⁵For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

²⁵«Зеро ба одам чӣ фоида дорад, ки агар вай тамоми дуньёро ба даст оварад, лекин худро талаф кунад, ё ки ба худ зиён расонад?

²⁶For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

²⁶«Зеро ҳар кӣ аз Ман ва аз суханони Ман шарм кунад, Писари Одам, ҳангоме ки дар ҷалоли Худ ва дар ҷалоли Падар ва фариштагони муқаддас меояд, аз вай шарм ҳохад кард;

²⁷But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

²⁷«Ба ростӣ ба шумо мегӯям: баъэе, ки дар ин ҷо истодаанд, то Малакути Худоро набинанд, зоиқаи маргро нахоҳанд чашид».

²⁸And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

²⁸Баъд аз ин гапҳо тақрибан ҳашт рӯз гузашта буд, ки Петрус, Юҳанно ва Яъқубро бо Худ гирифта, ба кӯҳе барои дуо гуфтан баромад.

²⁹And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

²⁹Ва ҳангоме ки дуо мегуфт, чеҳраи Ӯ дигаргун шуд, ва либосаш сафеди дурахшон гардид.

³⁰And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

³⁰Ва инак, ду мард бо Ӯ гуфтугӯ мекарданд, ки Мусо ва Ильёс будакд:

³¹Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

³¹Онҳо дар ҷалоле зоҳир гардида, дар бораи оқибати Ӯ, ки бояд дар Ерусалим ба амал ояд, сухан меронданд.

³²But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

³²Аммо Петрус ва онҳоеро ки бо Ӯ буданд, хоб рабуда буд; ва ҳангоме ки бедор шуданд, ҷалоли Ӯро, ва он ду мардро, ки бо Ӯ истода буданд, диданд.

³³And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

³³Вақте ки Мусо ва Ильёс аз пеши Ӯ мерафтанд, Петрус ба Исо гуфт: «Эй Ӯстод! Дар ин ҷо будани мо некӯст; пас се чодар месозем: яке барои Ту, яке барои Мусо ва яке барои Ильёс, - ва намедонист, чӣ мегӯяд.

³⁴While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

³⁴Ҳанӯз вай ин суханро мегуфт, абре пайдо шуда, бар онҳо соя андохт; ва чун дохили абр шуданд, ба ҳарос афтоданд.

³⁵And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

³⁵Ва овозе аз даруни абр баромад, ки мегуфт: «Ин аст Пксари Маҳбуби Ман; ӯро бишнавед».

³⁶And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

³⁶Ва овоз баромадан замон, Исо танҳо монд. Ва онҳо лаб фурӯ бастанд ва аз он чи дида будакд, ба ҳеҷ кас дар он айём гап назаданд.

³⁷And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

³⁷Рӯзи дигар, вақте ки онҳо аз кӯҳ фуромаданд, мардуми бисьёре Ӯро пешвоз гирифтанд.

³⁸And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

³⁸Ва инак марде аз байни мардум фарьёд зада, гуфт: «Эй Ӯстод! Аз Ту илтимос мекунам, ки ба писари ман як назар андозӣ, чунки вай фарзанди ягонаи ман аст:

³⁹And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.

³⁹«Рӯҳе ӯро мегирад, ва ӯ ногаҳон наъра мезанад, ва сахт печутоб мехӯрад, ба тавре ки кафк аз даҳонаш мебарояд; ва ӯро тамоман беҳолу бемадор карда, базӯр аз ӯ даст мекашад;

⁴⁰And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

⁴⁰«Аз шогирдони Ту илтимос кардам, ки онро берун кунанд, лекин натавонистанд».

⁴¹And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

⁴¹Исо дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Эй насли беимон ва каҷрафтор, то ба кай бо шумо бошам ва шуморо тоқат кунам? Писаратро ин ҷо биёр».

⁴²And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

⁴²Вақте ки вай наздик меомад, дев вайро ба замин ғалтонида, сахт печутоб дод; аммо Исо рӯҳи палидро мазаммат намуд, ва писарро шифо дода, ба падари вай супурд.

⁴³And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

⁴³Ва ҳама аз бузургии Худо дар ҳайрат монданд. Ва ҳангоме ки ҳама аз ҳамаи кардаҳои Исо тааҷҷуб менамуданд, Ӯ ба шогирдони Худ гуфт:

⁴⁴Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

⁴⁴«Ин суханонро дар гӯши худ ҷо кунед: Писари Одам ба Дасти одамон таслим карда хоҳад нгуд».

⁴⁵But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

⁴⁵Лекин онҳо ин суханро нафаҳмиданд, ва он аз онҳо пӯшида монд, ба тавре ки онродарк накардакд; ва тарсиданд, ки дар бораи ин сухан аз Ӯ бипурсанд.

⁴⁶Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

⁴⁶Ва ба майнаи онҳо фикре омад, ки кадоме аз онҳо бузургтар аст.

⁴⁷And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

⁴⁷Исо андешаи дили онҳоро дарьёфта, кӯдакеро гирифту пеши Худ ба по гузошт

⁴⁸And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

⁴⁸Ва ба онҳо гуфт: «Ҳар кӣ ин кӯдакро ба исми Ман қабул кунад, Маро қабул мекунад; ва ҳар кӣ Маро қабул кунад, Фиристандаи Маро қабул мекунад; зеро ҳар кӣ дар байни шумо аз ҳама хурдтар аст, вай бузург хоҳад буд».

⁴⁹And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

⁴⁹Дар айни ҳол Юҳанно гуфт: «Эй Ӯстод! Мо касеро дидем, ки ба исми Ту девҳоро берун мекард, ва ӯро манъ кардем, чунки ӯ ҳамроҳи мо намегардад».

⁵⁰And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

⁵⁰Исо ба вай гуфт: «Манъ накунед, зеро ҳар кӣ зидди шумо нест, вай тарафдори шумост».

⁵¹And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

⁵¹Ва чун айёми сууди Ӯ наздик мешуд, Ӯ азми сафари Ерусалим кард;

⁵²And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

⁵²Ва қосидонро пешопеши Худ фиристод; ва онҳо рафта, вориди як қаса баи сомариен шуданд, то ки барои Ӯ тадорук кунанд:

⁵³And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

⁵³Аммо Ӯро пазироӣ накарданд, зеро ки Ӯ рӯй ба ҷониби Ерусалим ниҳода буд.

⁵⁴And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

⁵⁴Шогирдони Ӯ Яъқуб ва Юҳанно инро дида, гуфтанд: «Худовандо! Оё мехоҳӣ бигӯем, ки оташе аз осмон омада, онхоро маҳв намояд, чунон ки Ильёс низ карда буд?»

⁵⁵But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

⁵⁵Аммо Ӯ рӯ гардонда, онҳоро манъ кард ва гуфт: «Намедонед, ки шумо ба кадом рӯҳ мансуб ҳастед;

⁵⁶For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

⁵⁶«Зеро ки Писари Одам на барои нобуд кардани ҷонҳои одамон, балки барои наҷот додани онҳо омадааст». Ва ба қасабаи дигаре рафтанд.

⁵⁷And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

⁵⁷Ва ҳангоме ки онҳо дар роҳ буданд, шахсе ба Ӯ гуфт: «Худовандо! Х,ар ҷо равӣ, Туро пайравӣ хоҳам кард».

⁵⁸And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

⁵⁸Исо ба вай гуфт: «Рӯбоҳон лона ва мурғони ҳаво ошьёна доранд; лекин Писари Одам ҷое надорад, ки сар ниҳад».

⁵⁹And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

⁵⁹Ба дигаре гуфт: «Маро пайрави кун». Вай гуфт: «Худовандо! Ба ман иҷозат деҳ, ки рафта, аввал падари худро дафн кунам».

⁶⁰Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

⁶⁰Лекин Исо ба вай гуфт: «Бигзор, ки мурдагон мурдагони худро дафн кунанд: аммо ту рафта, аз Малакути Худо башорат деҳ».

⁶¹And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

⁶¹Боз шаҳси дигаре гуфт: «Худовандо! Туро пайравӣ хоҳам кард, лекин аввал ба ман иҷозат деҳ, ки бо аҳли хонаи худ хайрухуш кунам».

⁶²And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

⁶²Лекин Исо ба вай гуфт: «Касе ки дасташро болои амоч монда бошад ва ба ақиб нигоҳ кунад, ба Малакути Худо лоиқ нест».
