1Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
2Ka'omea-na, uma-pi kidadahi kalentora-kai. Toe pai' ki'uli', agina aku' mepopea hi ngata Atena, pai' ompi' -ta Timotius kipahawa' tilou hi koi' ompi' -ompi' hi Tesalonika. Timotius toei, doo hampobagoa-kai hi rala pobago Alata'ala, apa' natulungi-kai mpokeni Kareba Kristus. Jadi', kipahawa' mpu'u-imi Timotius tilou, ki'uli' -ki: "Iko-mi to hilou mpokinomo ompi' -ta hi Tesalonika, nurohoi pai' nupomotede' pepangala' -ra."
2And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3Kipahawa' -i tilou toe, bona neo' mpai' ria haduaa to mokalingka pepangala' -ra sabana pebalinai' to mporumpa' -koi. Apa' ta'inca moto ompi', pebalinai' to mporumpa' -ta toe, gati patuju Alata'ala ami' -mi hi kita' to Kristen.
3That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
4Bula-kai retu-pidi wengi, ki'uli' ami' -mi karia-ra mpai' to mpobalinai' -ta. Hiaa' madupa' mpu'u-mi, hewa to ni'inca moto-mi ompi'.
4For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
5Jadi', toe-die pai' kuhubui-i Timotius tilou-e, bona ku'inca kabeiwa-na pepangala' -ni, apa' uma mpu'u-pi kudadahi kalentora-ku. Pai' koro' -a, nee-neo' nasori Magau' Topesori-koi duu' -na napanawu' -koi pai' uma-pi ria kalaua lenge' -kai mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi koi'.
5For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
6Jadi', hewa toe lau, rata nculii' -imi Timotius hi rehe'i, pai' naparata-mikakai kareba to mpakagoe' -kai. Na'uli': "To Tesalonika toera ria, moroho moto pepangala' -ra pai' ahi' -ra. Rapolio oa' -ta pai' lentora wo'o-ra-rawo doko' mpohirua' -taka, hewa kita' wo'o doko' mpohirua' -raka."
6But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
7Mpo'epe kareba to nakeni Timotius toe, tetanta'u-makai ompi'. Nau' rabalinai' pai' rapakasusa' -kai hi rei, tetanta'u oa' nono-kai mpo'epe kamoroho-na pepangala' -ni.
7Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
8Jadi', morawa-mi nono-kai, apa' moroho pepangala' -ni hi Pue' Yesus.
8For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
9Uma mowo kagoe' -kai mpokagoe' -koi ompi'. Jadi', napa to ma'ala kihiwili-ki Alata'ala ngkai hawe'ea kagoea' to nawai' -kakai toe? Uma ria ntani' -na, muntu' mpo'uli' tarima kasi-kai hi rala posampaya-kai hi Alata'ala Tuama-ta.
9For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
10Hinamengi hina'eo-kai merapi' hi Alata'ala hante nono mpu'u bona nabea ohea-kai mpencuai' -koi, bona kipohonoi' to kura' hi pepangala' -ni.
10Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
11Mosampaya-kai hi Alata'ala Tuama-ta pai' hi Pue' -ta Pue' Yesus, kiperapi' bona nabea-kakai ohea mpohirua' -kokoi ompi'.
11Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
12Kiperapi' bona katedoo-donihia ahi' -ni, alaa-na momepoka'ahi' mpu'u-koi hadua bo hadua, pai' -koi mpoka'ahi' hawe'ea tauna, hewa ahi' -kai hi koi'.
12And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13Kiperapi' hi Alata'ala bona narohoi nono-ni, bona moroli' -koi hante uma ria kasalaia' -ni hi nyanyoa-na ane rata-ipi mpai' Pue' Yesus hante hawe'ea topetuku' -na to moroli'.
13To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
