1Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
1Wae lau, aku' Paulus tohe'i-e, ria pomperapia' -ku hi koi' ompi'. Ria tauna hi retu to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "Ane ngkai kalaa-nai Paulus-e, ngkerepa' lia moni sura-na, hampa ane hi nyanyoa-tai, mempou' lia-i." Jadi', hante nono to dingki' pai' hante nono to mo'olu, hewa kadingki' nono-na pai' kamo'olu nono-na Kristus,
2But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
2kuperapi' mpu'u ompi', bona neo' -pi ria to mposapuaka kuasa-ku, bona ane rata-apa mpai' hi retu, uma-pi mingki' ngkerepa' lolita-ku! Apa' ria-ra hi retu to mpo'uli' po'ingku-kai hewa po'ingku tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala. Wae-pi, popea! Ane rata-a-damo, ra'epe moto mpai' kangkerepa' lolita-ku!
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4Kai' -kaiwo, manusia' -wadi-kai. Tapi' ane mpo'ewa-kai tauna to mposapuaka-kai, ki'ewa-ra hante karohoa to ngkai Alata'ala. Po'ingku-kai uma hewa tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala, uma wo'o kipake' kapantea manusia' -wadi. Kipake' karohoa to ngkai Alata'ala. Kai' ma'ala rarapai' -ki tantara to mporongka bente bali'. Batua-na, hante karohoa to ngkai Alata'ala
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5kipakule' mpodagi-ra to mpohono' tudui' to makono, kipakule' mpo'ewa-ra to molangko nono-ra pai' to mpolawa' doo bona neo' -ra mpo'incai Alata'ala. Hante karohoa to ngkai Alata'ala, kibalii' nono-ra to mesapuaka, pai' kikeni-ra mengkoru hi Kristus.
5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6Jadi', ane monoto-damo pengkoru-ni hi kai', sadia moto-makai mpohuku' -ra to mesapuaka-pidi.
6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7Petonoi-koi napa to nihilo moto! Ane ria-ra hi retu to mpo'uli' kahira' -na bagia-na Kristus, agina rapakanoto nono-ra, kana rapangaku' kabagia-na Kristus wo'o-ka-kaiwo hibalia hante hira'.
7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
8Nau' ba kana kuliu mpai' kotoa-na mpo'une' woto-ku moto, aga bate uma kupoka'ea'. Apa' to ku'une' -ki woto-ku toi-e, kuasa to nawai' -ka Pue' bona mporohoi pepangala' -ni, uma mpokero pepangala' -ni.
8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
9Jadi', popea-mi-hana karata-ku mpai', bona neo' mpai' ria to mpo'uli' me'ekahi-a-wadi hante sura-ku to karapo'.
9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10Apa' ria-ra hi retu to mpotuntui' -a, ra'uli' hewa toi: "Ane hi rala sura-na, karapo' -damo lolita-na pai' moso' paresa' -na, hampa ane hi rehe'i-i dohe-ta, mengkoru-imi pai' uma na'incai mololita!"
10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
11Jadi', apa' oo rahi lolita-rae, uli' -raka retu hewa toi: hewa kakarapo' lolita-kai to hi rala sura-kai, wae wo'o mpai' kakarapo' -kai ane rata-pakai mpai' hi retu.
11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
12Uma mpu'u-kai daho' mpotuku' kehi-ra to mpopeliu tuwu' -ra tetura ria. Uma-kai hibalia hante hira'. Hira', himpau mome'une' moto-ramo, ra'uli' lompe' -ra ntuku' poncilo-ra moto. Uma mowo kawojo-ra tetu-e!
12For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13Kai' -kaina uma hewa tetu. Ane ki'une' woto-kai, uma mpoliu kotoa-na. Ane ki'une' woto-kai, kilolita muntu' pobago to nabagi-kakai Alata'ala. Pai' koi' wo'o-e ompi' tepesua' hi rala pobago-kai, apa' Alata'ala mposuro-kai mpokeni Kareba Lompe' rata hi ngata-ni.
13But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
14Jadi', ane kiparesai' -koi ompi', uma-kai mpoliu kotoa-na. Ane ke uma-kai ria rata hi ngata-ni mpokeni Kareba Lompe' -e, ke uma ria huraa-kai mpoparesai' -koi. Tapi' ria mpu'u huraa-kai mpoparesai' -koi, apa' rata mpu'u-kai hi ngata-ni mpokeni Kareba Lompe'.
14For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
15Ria wo'o-ra tauna to bohe nono-ra, to mpololita kalompe' wua' pobago-ra, ntaa' wua' pobago doo-di. Kai', uma kibabehi hewa tetu. Uma-kai mpo'une' woto-kai mpololita pobago to hi mali-na ngkai pobago to nawai' -kakai Alata'ala. Aga kisarumaka ompi', ane tetampai karoho pepangala' -ni, tetampai wo'o kabohe pobago-kai hi laintongo' -ni,
15Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
16duu' -na tetampai wo'o kawela' pobagoa-kai. Apa' doko' -kai mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hilou hi ngata-ngata to meliu kalaa-na ngkai koi'. Uma-kai dota mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi tauna to mpolia' mpo'epe-ramo Kareba Lompe'. Nee-neo' mpai' bohe nono-kai mpololita wua' pobago-kai, ntaa' mobago-kai hi tinahi doo-di.
16To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.
17Jadi', hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi: "Hema to doko' bohe nono-ra, kana mpomobohe-ra napa to nababehi Pue'."
17But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
18Apa' ane ta'une' woto-ta moto, uma ta'incai ba natarima-ta Pue' ba uma-di. Tapi' ane Pue' mpo'une' -ta, monoa' ta'inca kanatarima-ta.
18For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
