1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
1Ompi' -ompi' to kupe'ahi'! Toi sura-ku karongkani-na hi koi'. Rala sura-ku to rontau toi, ku'apui nono-ni hante mpopokiwoii-koi tudui' to makono, bona moroli' pekiri-ni.
2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Patuju-ku bona nikiwoi lolita to raparata nabi-nabi to moroli' owi, pai' bona nikiwoi wo'o hawa' to ngkai Pue', Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta. Hawa' -na toe ni'epe ngkai kai' suro-na to mpokarebai-koi.
3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
3Aga to meliu lia ngkai hawe'ea, kana nikiwoi tohe'i: hi eo-eo to tumai mpai', mehupa' tauna to nakuasai konoa nono-ra to dada'a. Tauna toera mpopo'ore' -koi,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
4ra'uli': "Yesus mojanci tumai-i mpai'. Hiaa' hiapa-imi! Uma-kaina kipangalai', apa' ngkai kamate-ra ntu'a-ta to owi-era, uma-di ria kabalia' -na dunia' toi. Butu nyala-na bate-bate-na moto-di ngkai lomo' kajadi' dunia' duu' hewa toe lau."
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
5Tauna to mololita hewa toe, tungkai' mpopiri mata-ra. Batua-na, uma-ra dota mpokiwoi beiwa Alata'ala mpopajadi' langi' owi hante lolita-na-wadi. Pai' dunia' napajadi' hante ue, pai' role-na mehupa' ngkai ue.
6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
6Pai' hante ue wo'o Alata'ala mpogero dunia' to owi toe.
7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
7Pai' langi' bo dunia' to ria tempo toi napewili' hante lolita-na wo'o-wadi, bona ragero hante apu. Tempo toi langi' pai' dunia' napewili' -pidi duu' -na hi Eo Pobotuhia. Nto'u toe mpai' Alata'ala mpohuku' tauna to uma mengkoru hi Hi'a.
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9Aga koi' ompi' -ompi' to kupe'ahi', to hanyala toi neo' mpu'u nilipo'. Ria tauna to mpo'uli' mahae rahi-mi, ko'ia oa' -di rata Pue' -e. Tapi' hi rala poncilo Pue', hancobu mpae hibalia ha'eo-wadi, pai' ha'eo hibalia hante hancobu mpae. Pue' uma lera' mpopadupa' tipa' -na. Ko'ia-i rata wae lau, apa' kamosabara-na hi koi', uma napokonoi ane ria nte hadua to rahuku'. Konoa-na bona hawe'ea tauna mologa medea ngkai jeko' -ra.
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10Aga bate rata moto-i mpai' Pue' -e! Pai' karata-na toe mekoncehi lia hewa karata topanako. Hi eo toe mokero langi' hante moni to paguru, pai' butu nyala-na pumpu ridi' nakoni' apu, pai' dunia' toi hante hawe'ea ihi' -na mampu hangkaa-ngkania.
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Jadi' ompi' -ompi', ane hawe'ea to ria bate mogero hewa toe-e, beiwa mpu'u-tamo kita' toi-e? Bate kana tapakaroli' po'ingku-ta pai' -ta mengkoru hi Alata'ala.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12Apa' kita' toi mpopea Eo Pobotuhia-na Alata'ala. Agina petuku' -ta hi Pue' tapelompehi hudu pakulea' -ta bona sohi' rata Eo toe. Hi eo toe mpai', mampu langi' nakoni' apu, pai' butu nyala-na to ria mo'ono' ngkai karani' -na.
12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13Aga kita' mpopea to najanci-taka Alata'ala: langi' to bo'u pai' dunia' to bo'u, to rapo'ohai' tauna to monoa'.
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14Toe-mi ompi' -ompi' to kupe'ahi', bula-ni mpopea eo toe, huduwukui-koi mpotuku' Pue', bona lompe' posidaia' -ni hante Hi'a, pai' bona uma ria kasalaia' ba ka'eaa' -ni ane rata-pokoi mpai' hi nyanyoa-na.
14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15Uli' -mi-hana kamosabara-na Pue' mpalogai manusia' bona tebahaka-ra ngkai huku' jeko' -ra. Hewa toe wo'o-wadi ihi' sura to na'uki' -kokoi Paulus, ompi' -ta to tape'ahi'. Na'uki' toe ntuku' kanotoa nono to narata ngkai Pue'.
15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16Hi rala hawe'ea sura-na, nakahangai' tudui' to hewa toe. Ria wo'o tudui' -na to mokoro tapaha. Pai' tudui' -na toe rapomewoli' lau-mi tauna to uma monoto pekiri-ra pai' to uma moroho pepangala' -ra. Wae wo'o-ra mpomewoli' ihi' Buku Tomoroli' to ntani' -na. Ngkai kehi-ra toe-mi mpai', pai' -ra mporata pehuku' Alata'ala.
16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17Aga koi', ompi' -ompi' to kupe'ahi', ni'inca ami' -mi hawe'ea toe lau. Jadi', mo'inga' -inga' -koi hi guru agama to boa' toera, bona neo' -koi himpataua' hante kasalaa' -ra, duu' -na monawu' -koi ngkai pokorea-ni to moroho.
17Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18Donihii lau-mi petuku' -ni hi Pue' -ta Yesus Kristus, Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta, bona nirasai mpu'u ahi' -na. Pai' donihii wo'o pe'inca-ni mpo'inca-i. Une' -imi wae lau duu' kahae-hae-na. Amin.
18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
