14

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
1Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Neo' susa' nono-ni! Mepangala' -mokoi hi Alata'ala, pai' mepangala' wo'o-koi hi Aku'.
2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
2Hi tomi Tuama-ku, wori' po'ohaa'. Hilou-a mporodo-kokoi po'ohaa' -ni. Ane ke uma hewa toe, ke uma-hawo ku'uli' -kokoi.
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
3Ane hudu-a-damo mporodo po'ohaa' -ni, nculii' moto-a mpai' tumai mpo'ala' -koi, kukeni-koi hilou hi po'ohaa' -ku, bona hiapa po'ohaa' -ku, hi ree wo'o-koi dohe-ku.
4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
4Ni'inca moto ohea hilou hi po'ohaa' -ku."
5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
5Na'uli' Tomas: "Uma-kaiwo ki'incai hiapa kahilouaa-nu Pue'. Beiwa-kaina kaki'inca-na ohea-nae?"
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
6Na'uli' Yesus: "Aku' toi-mi ohea, Aku' to makono, pai' to mpowai' katuwua'. Uma haduaa to rata hi Tuama-ku, ane uma ntara hi Aku'.
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
7Ane ntoa' ni'inca-ama Aku' -e, tantu ni'inca wo'o-imi Tuama-ku. Ngkai wae-e lau, ni'inca-imi pai' nihilo-imi."
8Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
8Na'uli' Filipus: "Pue', popohiloi-ka-kaiwo Tuama-nu, bona oha nono-kai."
9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
9Na'uli' Yesus: "Ko'ia oa' -tano nu'incai-ae, Filipus! Hiaa' bo mahae-ama dohe-ni! Hema to mpohilo-a, mpohilo wo'o-ramo Tuama-ku. Jadi', napa-di pai' nuperapi' bona kupopohiloi-koi Tuama-kue?
10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
10Ha uma oa' nuparasaya ka'Aku' -na hintuwu' hante Tuama-ku pai' Tuama-ku hintuwu' hante Aku'? Napa to ku'uli' -kokoi toe, uma ku'uli' ntuku' konoa-ku moto. Tuama-ku to tida hintuwu' hante Aku', Hi'a-mi pue' bago.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
11Pangala' -ama-hana, ka'Aku' -na hintuwu' hante Tuama-ku pai' Tuama-ku hintuwu' hante Aku'. Nau' uma nipangalai' lolita-ku, pangala' -mi apa' nihilo-mi hawe'ea to kubabehi.
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
12"Makono mpu'u lolita-ku toi: Tauna to mepangala' hi Aku', ma'ala-ra mpobabehi hewa to kubabehi-- ba melabi tena-pi ngkai to kubabehi-- apa' hilou-a mpai' mo'oha' dohe Tuama-ku.
13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
13Jadi', napa-napa to niperapi' hante hanga' -ku, bate kuwai' -koi, bona to kubabehi toe mpobila' Tuama-ku.
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
14Ba napa-napa to niperapi' hante hanga' -ku, kuwai' -koi.
15If ye love me, keep my commandments.
15"Ane nipoka'ahi' -a, nituku' -mi hawa' -ku.
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
16Kuperapi' hi Tuama-ku, bona nawai' -koi hadua Topetulungi to ntani' -na, bona Hi'a-damo mpodohei-koi duu' kahae-hae-na.
17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
17Topetulungi toei, Hi'a-mi Inoha' Alata'ala, to mpotete' -koi hi tudui' to makono. Tauna to uma mepangala' uma bisa mpotarima-i, apa' uma-i rahiloi pai' uma wo'o-i ra'incai. Aga koi', ni'inca-imi, apa' nadohei-mokoi wae lau, pai' mo'oha' -i mpai' hi rala nono-ni.
18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
18"Uma-koi kupalahii jadi' ilu. Nculii' moto-a mpai' tumai hi koi'.
19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
19Hampai' lia-damo, tauna to hi dunia' uma-pi mpohiloi-a. Aga koi', nihilo moto-a. Tuwu' moto-koi mpai', apa' Aku' tuwu' -a.
20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
20Ane rata-pi mpai' tempo toe, ni'inca-mi ka'Aku' -na hintuwu' hante Tuama-ku, pai' koi' hintuwu' hante Aku', pai' Aku' hintuwu' hante koi'.
21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
21"Tauna to mpotarima pai' mpotuku' hawa' -ku, hira' -mi to mpoka'ahi' -a. Tuama-ku mpoka'ahi' tauna to mpoka'ahi' -a, pai' Aku' wo'o mpoka'ahi' -ra, pai' kupopohiloi-ra woto-ku."
22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
22Yudas (aga bela Yudas Iskariot) mpekune' Yesus: "Pue', napa pai' nupopehuwu woto-nu hi kai' -wadi, uma hi hawe'ea tauna hi dunia'?"
23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
23Na'uli' Yesus: "Kupopehuwu woto-ku hi tauna to mpoka'ahi' -a pai' to mpotuku' lolita-ku. Tuama-ku mpoka'ahi' tauna to hewa toe. Tuama-ku pai' Aku' hilou hi tauna toera, pai' mo'oha' -makai dohe-ra.
24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
24Tauna to uma mpoka'ahi' -a, uma-ra mpotuku' lolita-ku. Lolita to ni'epe ngkai Aku', uma ngkai Aku' moto. Ngkai Tuama-ku to mposuro-a.
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
25"Hawe'ea toe we'i lau ku'uli' -kokoi nampa' hi ria-a-pidi dohe-ni.
26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
26Tapi' ane rata-ipi mpai' Inoha' Tomoroli', Hi'a-mi to mpotudui' -koi butu nyala-na, pai' napopokiwoii-koi hawe'ea to oti-mi ku'uli' -kokoi, apa' Hi'a-mi Topetulungi to nahubui tumai Tuama-ku jadi' sulewata-ku.
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
27"Kalompea' kutu'u-kokoi. Kalompea' to ngkai Aku' moto-mi to kuwai' -kokoi. To kuwai' -kokoi toi-e, uma hewa to nirata ngkai dunia' toi. Neo' susa' nono-ni, pai' neo' me'eka'.
28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
28Ni'epe lolita-ku we'i to mpo'uli': Hilou-a, aga nculii' moto-a mpai' tumai hi koi'. Ane nipoka'ahi' mpu'u-a, nipokagoe' moto kahilou-ku toi hi Tuama-ku, apa' Tuama-ku meliu kabohe-na ngkai Aku'.
29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
29Toe-e ku'uli' ami' -mikokoi kako'ia-na jadi', bona ane madupa' -pi mpai', nipangala' -mi.
30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
30"Uma-pi wori' loga-ku mpololitai-koi, apa' neo' rata-mi Magau' Anudaa'. Hi'a-mi to mpokuasai dunia' tohe'i, aga uma ria kuasa-na hi Aku'.
31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
31Aga toi kana jadi', bona hawe'ea tauna mpo'inca kakupoka'ahi' -na Tuama-ku pai' kutuku' oa' hawe'ea to nahawai' -ka. Mokore-mi, pai' hilou-tamo."
