John

9

1And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
1Bula-na Yesus momako', mpohilo-i hadua tauna to wero ngkai lomo' kaputu-na.
2And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
2Ana'guru-na mpekune' -i: "Guru, napa pai' wero ami' -i ngkai kaputu-nae? Ba jeko' -na moto-di, ba jeko' totu'a-nadi?"
3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
3Na'uli' Yesus: "Bela jeko' -na moto, pai' bela wo'o jeko' totu'a-na. Toi jadi' bona tauna mpohilo baraka' Alata'ala to madupa' hi woto-na.
4I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
4Bula-na mobaja-pidi, kana tapobago bago-na Alata'ala to mposuro-a. Apa' neo' rata-mi bengi-na, pai' uma-pi hema to mobago.
5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
5Bula-ku hi dunia' -pidi, Aku' toi-mi baja to mpobajahi nono manusia'."
6When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
6Ka'oti-na mololita hewa toe, na'uelikui-mi tana', nagalo hante tana' hangkedi' bona morege', nagelai' -ki mata-na towero toei,
7And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
7pai' na'uli' -ki: "Hilou-ko monoku hi wuhu' Siloam." (Hanga' "Siloam" toe, batua-na "Rasuro.") Kahilou-nami monoku. Ponculii' -na, pehilo-imi-hawo.
8The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
8Ngkai ree, tongki-na pai' tauna to biasa mpohilo-i kakarapi' -rapi', momepekune' -ramo ra'uli': "Hema-idi toe-e mai? Ha bela hi'a-mi towero to biasa mohura kakarapi' -rapi' -e?"
9Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
9Ria to mpo'uli': "Hi'a-midi!" Aga ria wo'o mpo'uli': "Bela-e'. Kahibalia lence-ra-wadi-hawo." Hiaa' hi'a moto-mi-hawo mpo'uli': "Aku' -midi!"
10Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
10Jadi', rapekune' -i: "Ha beiwa pai' alaa-na pehilo-ko?"
11He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
12Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
12Rapekune' -i: "Hiaa' hiapa-imi we'i?" Na'uli' -raka: "Uma-kuwo ku'incai."
13They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
14Yesus mpogalo ueliku-na hante tana' pai' mpaka'uri' towero toe we'i nto'u Eo Sabat, eo pepuea' -ra to Yahudi. Jadi', towero to pehilo-mi toei rakeni hilou hi to Parisi.
14And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15To Parisi wo'o-mi-rawo mpekune' -i, ra'uli': "Beiwa pai' alaa-na pehilo-koe?" Na'uli' -raka: "Nagelai' mata-ku hante rege', pai' kamonoku-ku, pehilo-ama."
15Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
16Ba hangkuja dua ngkai to Parisi toera mpo'uli': "Tauna to mpobabehi tetu, uma-i ngkai Alata'ala, bo uma-i mpotuku' palia-ta hi Eo Sabat." Tapi' to hantongo' mpo'uli': "Hiaa' ane topojeko' -i, ngkaiapa-di baraka' -na mpobabehi wori' tanda mekoncehi hewa tohe'i-e?" Alaa-na, ria lau-mi pomehonoa' hi himpau hira'.
16Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
17Ngkai ree, mepekune' tena-ra to Parisi hi towero toei, ra'uli': "Beiwa-kowo iko, napa to nu'uli', apa' napaka'uri' -koko mata-nue." Na'uli' towero toei: "Tantu Hi'a hadua nabi."
17They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
18Tapi' topoparenta to Yahudi, uma-ra mparasaya kahi'a-na mpu'u-mi towero-e ngone, pai' muu-mule' pehilo-imi. Toe pai' rakio' tina pai' tuama-na bona mpohirua' -raka,
18But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
19pai' rapompekunei': "Ha makono mpu'u tauna toii ana' -ni, to ni'uli' wero ngkai lomo' kaputu-nae? Hiaa' beiwa pai' alaa-na pehilo-i?"
19And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
20Ra'uli' -rawo tina pai' tuama-na: "To ki'inca-le, bate ana' -kai mpu'u-i-hawo, pai' wero mpu'u-i ngkai lomo' kaputu-na.
20His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
21Aga beiwa pai' alaa-na pehilo-i, uma-kaiwo ki'incai. Pai' hema to mpaka'uri' -i, uma wo'o-kaiwo ki'incai. Kama-imi-hawo, pekune' -ki hi'a moto-mi-koiwo. Ma'ala-imi metompoi' moto."
21But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
22Tina pai' tuama-na mpo'uli' hewa toe, apa' me'eka' -ra hi topoparenta to Yahudi. Apa' hibalia-mi pohawa' -ra: hema-hema to mpo'uli' Kayesus-na Magau' Topetolo' rapopalai ngkai tomi posampayaa.
22These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
23Toe pai' totu'a-na mpo'uli': "Kama-imi-hawo, pekune' -ki hi'a moto-mi-koiwo."
23Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
24Oti toe, rakio' tena-i tauna to wero toei we'i, pai' ra'uli' -ki: "Alata'ala mpotiroi-ta! Jadi', uli' mpu'u-e' napa to makono! Ki'inca moto-i Yesus tetui tauna topojeko'."
24Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
25Na'uli' -raka: "Aku' -le, uma ku'incai ba topojeko' -i ba uma. Sampale to ku'inca, wero-a wengi, tempo toi pehilo-ama."
25He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
26Ngkai ree, rapekune' tena-i: "Napa to nababehi-koko? Beiwa-i mpaka'uri' -ko?"
26Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27Natompoi' -ra: "Oti-mi kututura-kokoi we'i, ha uma ni'epei? Napa pai' nipengeei oa' -e? Ba doko' jadi' ana'guru-na lau-dakoie?"
27He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
28Ngkai ree, ralibui' -imi pai' ra'uli' -ki: "Iko-le ana'guru-na tau tetu-e! Kai' ana'guru-na nabi Musa-ka-kaina!
28Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
29Monoa' ki'inca Alata'ala mpoparata lolita-na hi Musa owi. Tapi' Yesus tetui, uma ki'incai kangkaiapa-na."
29We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
30Mehono' -i towero toei: "Me'ingui' lia-koi! Ni'uli' uma ni'incai kangkaiapa-na, hiaa' napaka'uri' mata-ku!
30The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
31Ta'inca moto Alata'ala uma mpotompoi' pomperapia' tauna topojeko'. Sampale-di mpobini' -i tilinga-na hi hema-hema to mengkoru hi Hi'a pai' to mpotuku' hawa' -na.
31Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
32Ngkai lomo' kajadi' dunia', ko'ia ria ta'epei tutura-na tauna towero ngkai lomo' kaputu-na ma'ala rapaka'uri'.
32Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
33Ane Yesus uma-i ngkai Alata'ala, tantu uma-i bisa mpobabehi napa-napa."
33If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
34Hampetompoi' -ra: "Iko tetu to ponu' jeko' ngkai kaputu-nu, nta'ena' metudui'!" Ngkai ree, rapopalai-imi ngkai tomi posampayaa.
34They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
35Yesus mpo'epe karapopalai-na ngkai tomi posampayaa. Jadi' hilou-imi mpohirua' -ki, pai' na'uli' -ki: "Ha mepangala' -ko hi Ana' Manusia' -e?"
35Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36Na'uli' tauna toei: "Uli' -ka-kuwo kahema-nai, bona kupangala' -i."
36He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37Na'uli' Yesus: "Nuhilo-imile! Hi'a-mile to mpololitai-koe."
37And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38Na'uli' tauna toei: "Kupangala', Pue'!" pai' mowilingkudu-imi mponyompa-i.
38And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39Na'uli' Yesus: "Katumai-ku hi dunia' toi, tumai mpobotuhi kara-kara manusia', bona tauna to wero ma'ala pehilo, pai' tauna to mpo'uli' pehilo moto-ra, wero lau-ra."
39And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40Ba hangkuja dua to Parisi to hi ree mpo'epe lolita-na Yesus. Ra'uli' mpo'uli' -ki Yesus: "Ha nu'uli' -kona wero wo'o-kai kai' -e?"
40And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane rapa' -na hewa towero mpu'u-koi apa' uma ni'incai napa to makono, ke uma-koi masala'. Tapi', apa' ni'uli' -koina pehilo moto-koie, bate masala' -koi-hawo."
41Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
