1Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
1Oti toe, Inoha' Alata'ala mpopakeni Yesus hilou hi papada to wao', bona Magau' Anudaa' mposori-i.
2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
2Opo' mpulu' eo opo' mpulu' bengi mopuasa' -i. Ngkai ree, mo'oro' -imi.
3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
3Rata Magau' Topesori mpo'uli' -ki: "Ane Ana' Alata'ala mpu'u-ko, wae-pi hubui watu toe-ra lau mewali pongkoni'!"
4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
4Natompoi' Yesus: "Hi rala Buku Tomoroli' te'uki' hewa toi: `Manusia' uma tuwu' ngkai pongkoni' -wadi. Tuwu' -ra ngkai kampotuku' -ra butu mela lolita to napohowa' Alata'ala.'"
5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
5Oti toe, Magau' Anudaa' mpopakeni-i hilou hi Yerusalem, ngata to moroli', napopokore-i hi lolo wumu Tomi Alata'ala,
6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
6pai' na'uli' -ki: "Ane Ana' Alata'ala-ko, mengkanawu' -ko ngkai rei! Uma-ko mpai' moapa-apa, apa' ria te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': `Pue' Alata'ala mpohubui mala'eka-na mpetalawai' -ko ngkai silaka. Rahorongko-ko bona witi' -nu uma dungku hi watu.'"
7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
7Natompoi' Yesus: "Aga ria wo'o te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' to mpo'uli' hewa toi: `Neo' tasori Pue' -ta, Pue' Alata'ala!'"
8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
8Oti toe Magau' Anudaa' mpakeni tena Yesus lou hi lolo bulu' to molangko lia, pai' napopohiloi-i hawe'ea kamagaua' hi dunia' hante ka'uaa' -na.
9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
9Na'uli' -ki: "Hawe'ea toe lau kuwai' -koko, ane motingkua' -ko mpopue' -a."
10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
10Hampetompoi' Yesus: "Palai-ko topesori! Apa' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' te'uki' hewa toi: `Kana mepue' -ta hi Pue' -ta, Pue' Alata'ala. Muntu' Hi'a-wadi to natao tapengkorui.'"
11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
11Ngkai ree, malai mpu'u-imi Magau' Anudaa' mpalahii Yesus, pai' oti toe rata-ramo mala'eka mpomawai-i.
12Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
12Ko'ia mahae ngkai ree, Yohanes Topeniu' rahoko' pai' ratarungku'. Kana'epe-na Yesus kareba toe, hilou nculii' -imi hi ngata Nazaret hi tana' Galilea.
13And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
13Oti toe, kaliliu-imi ngkai Nazaret hilou mo'oha' hi ngata Kapernaum. Kapernaum toe, ngata hi wiwi' rano Galilea, hi tana' Zebulon pai' Naftali.
14That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
14Yesus mo'oha' hi ree, alaa-na madupa' -mi lolita to napohowa' nabi Yesaya owi, hewa toi moni-na:
15The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
15"Ane tana' -ra to Zebulon pai' to Naftali, tana' to mohu' hi rano Galilea, pai' tana' to hi dipo ue Yordan. Tana' toe rapo'ohai' wori' tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.
16The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
16Ri'ulu, tauna toera hi rala kabengia-na, pai' me'eka' -ra mpoka'eka' kamatea. Aga wae lau, mpohilo-ramo-rawo baja to bohe, apa' mehupa' -mi eo to mehini mpohinii-ra."
17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
17Ntepu'u ngkai ree, Yesus mpoparata Lolita Pue', na'uli': "Medea-mokoi ngkai jeko' -ni, apa' neo' rata-mi tempo-na Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia'."
18And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
18Bula-na Yesus momako' hi wiwi' rano Galilea, mpohilo-i rodua to ntali ompi', hanga' -ra Simon (to rahanga' wo'o Petrus) hante Andreas ompi' -na. Nto'u toe, bula-ra mebau' hi rano mojala', apa' toe-mi-rawo bago-ra.
19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
19Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Mai-mokoi ntuku' -a! Uma-pokoi mebau' mpali' uru. Ngkai wae lau kuwai' -koi pobago mpotudui' tauna mepangala' hi Aku'."
20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
20Karapalahii-nami jala' -ra, pai' ntepu'u eo toe mpotuku' Yesus-ramo.
21And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
21Oti toe, Yesus mpokaliliu pomako' -na, nahilo wo'o-mi rodua to ntali ompi': Yakobus pai' Yohanes, ana' -na Zebedeus. Hira' toe, bula-ra mpokolompehii jala' -ra hi rala sakaya hante tuama-ra. Yesus mpokio' -ra jadi' topetuku' -na.
22And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
22Karapalahii-na wo'o-mi-rawo sakaya-ra pai' tuama-ra, mpotuku' Yesus wo'o-ramo-rawo.
23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
23Yesus modao' hobo' hi tana' Galilea pai' -i metudui' hi rala tomi posampayaa. Mpoparata-i Kareba Lompe', na'uli': "Neo' rata-mi tempo-na Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia'." Yesus mpaka'uri' wo'o hawe'ea tauna to peda' pai' to keru.
24And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
24Pobago-na Yesus toe tetolele hi hawe'ea ngata hi propinsi Siria, alaa-na wori' tauna tumai doko' mpohirua' -ki. Mpokeni-ra hawe'ea doo-ra to mpotodohaka to wori' nyala haki' -ra pai' kasusaa' -ra, ba to nahawi' seta, ba to limpuangaa ba to pungku. Napaka'uri' -ra omea.
25And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
