1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
1Sura toi ngkai aku' Paulus, batua Alata'ala pai' suro Yesus Kristus. Na'ongko' -a jadi' suro-na, pai' nahubui-a mporohoi pepangala' tauna to napelihi-ramo Alata'ala. Nahubui wo'o-a mpotudui' -ra tudui' to makono. Ane tatuku' tudui' to makono toe, mengkoru-ta hi Alata'ala,
2In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
2duu' -na mporata-tamo katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na, hewa to najanci-taka. Apa' kako'ia-na napajadi' dunia', mojanci-i kanawai' -ta katuwua' to lompe'-- pai' Alata'ala uma-i-hana moboa'.
3But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
3Jadi', hi tempo to napakatantu, napopo'incai mpu'u-tamo ohea mporata katuwua' to lompe', apa' nahubui-ramo suro-na mpopalele Lolita-na. Pai' aku' toi-mi hadua to mpopalele Lolita-na toe, ntuku' hawa' Alata'ala, Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta.
4To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
4Sura toi kupakatu hi iko Titus, to kuponcawa ana' inote-ku moto-moko apa' hampepangalaa' -tamo. Wori' tabe: mekakae-a hi Alata'ala to Tuama pai' hi Kristus Yesus Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta, kuperapi' bona nagane' -ko ngkai kabula rala-na pai' nawai' -ko kalompea' tuwu'.
5For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
5Patuju-ku mpohubui-ko tida hi Kreta, bona iko-damo mpo'atoro' pobago-ta to ko'ia oti. Jadi', hewa to oti-mi kuhawai' -koko, mpo'ongko' -ra pangkeni-pangkeni agama hi butu-butu ngata hi retu.
6If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
6Ane tauna to jadi' pangkeni agama, kana tauna to uma kasalaia' gau' -ra, to motobinei hadua-wadi, ana' -ra kana mepangala' wo'o hi Kristus, pai' bela-ra ana' to rakahangai' to sapa pai' to mekahia'.
7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
7Apa' tauna to jadi' pangkeni hi rala agama-ta, pahawaa' to mpo'urusi pobago Alata'ala. Toe pai' kana to uma ria kasalaia' -ra: uma ma'ala to molangko nono ba to jolia moroe, uma ma'ala topalangu-langu ba to ntora motuda' pai' to doko' doi-wadi.
8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
8Tauna to nu'ongko' jadi' pangkeni agama, kana tauna to jole' metorata, tida mpobabehi to lompe', monoto pai' monoa' nono-ra, moroli' po'ingku-ra pai' to mpokule' mpengkatarii kahinaa nono-ra to dada'a.
9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
9Kana moroho pongkakamu-ra tudui' to tapangala', hewa to oti-mi ratudui' -taka, bona ra'inca mpotudui' tauna tudui' to makono pai' mpo'apui nono-ra, pai' ra'inca wo'o mpokamaro-ra to mposapuaka tudui' -ta.
10For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
10Patuju-ku mpo'uli' -koko toe-e, apa' wori' -ramo tauna to mpo'ewa tudui' -ta, peliu-liu-nami hira' to mpotuku' ada petini' Atura Musa. Mekahia' -ra, pai' mpobagiu doo-ra hante tudui' -ra to uma ria kalaua-na toe.
11Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
11Tauna to hewa toera kana ratagi, neo' nupiliu-ra metudui'! Apa' wori' ntomi tauna to jadi' ingu' mpo'epe tudui' -ra to uma tumotoa. Pai' patuju-ra metudui', bona mporata gaji' -ra-wadi. Uma-hawo lompe' kehi to hewa toe.
12One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
12Ria-hana hadua nabi to Kreta owi to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "To Kreta-le, paka' to moboa', dike' to mau, jampa pai' lose."
13This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
13Wae mpu'u-di! Toe pai' kana nuparesai' mpu'u-ra to Kreta tetura ria, bona tida-ra mepangala' hi tudui' to makono.
14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
14Paresai' -ra bona neo' -pi rapangala' jarita to Yahudi to ratamangko-wadi pai' parenta-parenta to ngkai manusia' to mposapuaka tudui' to makono.
15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
15Hi tauna to moroli' nono-ra, uma ria napa-napa to rapalii'. Aga tauna to dada'a nono-ra pai' to uma mepangala', uma ria to moroli', apa' bengku' ami' -mi pekiri-ra, pai' rapo'ihi moto-mi gau' -ra to dada'a, duu' -na uma-pi rarasai kamasala' -ra.
16They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
16Ra'uli' -rana, ra'inca moto-i Alata'ala, ntaa' monoto-midi kaboa' -rae, apa' po'ingku-ra uma mpotuku' konoa-na. Babo' lia kehi-ra hi poncilo-na. Uma-ra dota rahawai', pai' uma rakulei' mpobabehi kehi napa-napa to lompe'.
