¹And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

¹Khi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã giải cứu Ða-vít khỏi tay các thù nghịch và khỏi tay Sau-lơ, thì người hát các lời nầy mà ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va,

²And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

²rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va là hòn đá và đồn lũy tôi, Ðấng giải cứu tôi.

³The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

³Ðức Chúa Trời tôi là hòn đá tôi, nơi tôi sẽ nương náu mình, Là thuẫn đỡ tôi, sừng chửng cứu tôi, Ngọn tháp cao và nơi nương dựa của tôi; Hỡi Ðấng che chở tôi! ấy Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi sự hung bạo.

⁴I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

⁴Tôi sẽ kêu cầu cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va, là Ðấng đáng khen ngợi; Thì tôi sẽ được giải cứu khỏi các thù nghịch tôi.

⁵When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

⁵Các lượng sóng của tử vong đã phủ bao tôi, Lụt gian ác chảy cuộn làm cho tôi sợ hãi;

⁶The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

⁶Những dây của địa ngục đã vấn tôi, Lưới sự chết có hãm bắt tôi.

⁷In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

⁷Trong cơn hoạn nạn tôi cầu khẩn Ðức Giê-hô-va, Tôi kêu la cùng Ðức Chúa Trời tôi. Ở nơi đền Ngài nghe tiếng tôi, Tiếng kêu cầu của tôi thấu đến tai Ngài.

⁸Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.

⁸Bấy giờ, đất động và rung, Nền các từng trời cũng lay chuyển, Nó rúng động, vì Ngài nổi giận.

⁹There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

⁹Khói bay ra từ lỗ mũi Ngài, Và từ miệng Ngài phát ra ngọn lửa hực. Ngài khiến than hừng đỏ phun ra,

¹⁰He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰Làm nghiêng lệch các từng trời, và ngự xuống, Dưới chơn Ngài có vùng đen kịt.

¹¹And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

¹¹Ngài cỡi một chê-ru-bin và bay; Ngài hiện ra trên cánh của gió.

¹²And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

¹²Ngài bủa ra sự tối tăm, những vùng nước, những mây đen mịt, Chung quanh mình như một cái trại.

¹³Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.

¹³Từ sự rực rỡ ở trước mặt Ngài, Những than hực chiếu sáng ra.

¹⁴The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

¹⁴Ðức Giê-hô-va sấm sét trên các từng trời, Ðấng Chí cao làm cho tiếng Ngài vang rân.

¹⁵And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.

¹⁵Ngài bắn tên, làm cho quân thù tôi tản lạc, Phát chớp nhoáng, khiến chúng nó lạc đường.

¹⁶And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

¹⁶Bởi lời hăm he của Ðức Giê-hô-va, Bởi gió xịt ra khỏi lỗ mũi Ngài, Ðáy biển bèn lộ ra, Nền thế gian bị bày tỏ.

¹⁷He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;

¹⁷Từ trên cao, Ngài giơ tay nắm tôi, Rút tôi ra khỏi nước sâu.

¹⁸He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

¹⁸Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch cường bạo, Khỏi kẻ ghét tôi, vì chúng nó mạnh hơn tôi.

¹⁹They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

¹⁹Trong ngày hoạn nạn chúng nó đến xông vào tôi; Nhưng Ðức Giê-hô-va nâng đỡ tôi.

²⁰He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

²⁰Ngài đem tôi ra nơi rộng rãi, Giải cứu tôi, vì Ngài ưa thích tôi.

²¹The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

²¹Ðức Giê-hô-va đã thưởng tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Báo tôi theo sự thanh sạch của tay tôi.

²²For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

²²Vì tôi có giữ theo các đường lối của Ðức Giê-hô-va, Không làm ác xây bỏ Ðức Chúa Trời tôi.

²³For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.

²³Vì các mạng lịnh của Ngài đều ở trước mặt tôi, Tôi chẳng lìa xa các luật lệ Ngài.

²⁴I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

²⁴Tôi cũng ở trọn vẹn với Ngài, Và giữ lấy mình khỏi gian ác.

²⁵Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

²⁵Vì vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va đã báo tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Thưởng tôi theo sự tinh sạch tôi trước mặt Ngài.

²⁶With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt show thyself upright.

²⁶Kẻ hay thương xót, Chúa sẽ thương xót lại; Ðối cùng kẻ trọn vẹn, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình trọn vẹn lại.

²⁷With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt show thyself unsavory.

²⁷Ðối cùng kẻ tinh sạch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình tinh sạch lại; Còn đối cùng kẻ trái nghịch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình nhặt nhiệm lại.

²⁸And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.

²⁸Vì Chúa cứu dân bị khốn khổ; Nhưng mắt Chúa coi chừng kẻ kiêu căng đặng làm chúng nó bị hạ xuống.

²⁹For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

²⁹Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! thật Ngài làm ngọn đèn tôi, Và Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ chiếu sáng sự tối tăm tôi.

³⁰For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

³⁰Nhờ Ngài tôi sẽ xông ngang qua đạo binh, Cậy Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, tôi vượt khỏi tường thành.

³¹As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

³¹Còn Ðức Chúa Trời, các đường của Ngài vốn là trọn vẹn, Lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va là tinh tường. Ngài là cái thuẫn cho mọi người nương náu mình nơi Ngài.

³²For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

³²Vậy, trừ ra Ðức Giê-hô-va ai là Ðức Chúa Trời? Ai là hòn đá lớn, nếu không phải là Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta?

³³God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

³³Ðức Chúa Trời là đồn lũy vững chắc của tôi, Ngài dắt người trọn vẹn vào đường chánh đáng.

³⁴He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

³⁴Ngài làm cho chơn tôi lẹ như chơn nai cái, Và để tôi đứng trên các nơi cao của tôi.

³⁵He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

³⁵Ngài tập tay tôi chiến trận, Ðến đỗi cánh tay tôi gương nổi cung đồng.

³⁶Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

³⁶Chúa đã ban sự chửng cứu cho tôi làm cái khiên, Và sự hiền từ Chúa đã làm cho tôi nên sang trọng.

³⁷Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.

³⁷Chúa mở rộng đường dưới bước tôi, Và chơn tôi không xiêu tó.

³⁸I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

³⁸Tôi đuổi theo kẻ thù nghịch tôi, và hủy diệt nó, Chỉ trở về sau khi đã tận diệt chúng nó.

³⁹And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

³⁹Tôi trừ tiệt, đâm lủng chúng nó, không thể dậy lại được; Chúng nó sa ngã dưới chơn tôi.

⁴⁰For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.

⁴⁰Vì Chúa đã thắt lưng tôi bằng sức mạnh để chiến trận, Và khiến kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi xếp rệp dưới tôi.

⁴¹Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

⁴¹Chúa cũng khiến kẻ thù nghịch xây lưng cùng tôi, Hầu cho tôi diệt những kẻ ghét tôi.

⁴²They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

⁴²Chúng nó trông ngóng, nhưng chẳng ai cứu cho; Chúng nó kêu cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va, song Ngài không đáp lại.

⁴³Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.

⁴³Bấy giờ tôi đập giập chúng nó khác nào bụi dưới đất; Chà nát, giày đạp chúng nó giống như bùn ngoài đường.

⁴⁴Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

⁴⁴Chúa đã giải cứu tôi khỏi sự tranh giành của dân sự tôi, Gìn giữ tôi để làm đầu các nước; Một dân tộc tôi không quen biết sự phục sự tôi.

⁴⁵Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.

⁴⁵Các người ngoại quốc sẽ phục dưới tôi; Vừa nghe nói về tôi, chúng nó đều vâng theo tôi.

⁴⁶Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

⁴⁶Các người ngoại quốc sẽ tàn mọt, Ði ra khỏi chỗ ẩn mình cách run sợ.

⁴⁷The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

⁴⁷Ðức Giê-hô-va hằng sống; đáng ngợi khen hòn đá lớn tôi! Nguyện Ðức Chúa Trời, là hòn đá của sự chửng cứu tôi, được tôn cao!

⁴⁸It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me.

⁴⁸Từ là Ðức Chúa Trời báo thù cho tôi, Khiến các dân tộc qui phục tôi.

⁴⁹And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

⁴⁹Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch; Thật Chúa nâng tôi lên cao hơn kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi, Và cứu tôi khỏi người hung bạo.

⁵⁰Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

⁵⁰Vì vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! Tôi sẽ khen ngợi Ngài tại giữa các dân, Và ca tụng danh của Ngài.

⁵¹He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

⁵¹Ðức Giê-hô-va ban cho vua của Ngài sự giải cứu lớn lao, Và làm ơn cho đấng chịu xức dầu của Ngài, Tức là cho Ða-vít và cho dòng dõi người, đến đời đời.
