¹And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

¹Khi ngươi đã vào trong xứ mà Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi làm sản nghiệp, khi nhận được và ở tại đó rồi,

²That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

²thì phải lấy hoa quả đầu mùa của thổ sản mình thâu-hoạch trong xứ mà Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi ban cho ngươi, để trong một cái giỏ, rồi đi đến chỗ Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi sẽ chọn để danh Ngài ở.

³And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.

³Ngươi sẽ tới cùng thầy tế lễ làm chức đang thì đó, mà nói rằng: Ngày nay, trước mặt Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ông, tôi nhận biết tôi đã vào trong xứ mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã thề cùng tổ phụ ban cho chúng tôi.

⁴And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

⁴Ðoạn, thầy tế lễ sẽ lấy cái giỏ khỏi tay ngươi, để trước bàn thờ của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi.

⁵And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

⁵Ðoạn, ngươi cất tiếng nói tại trước mặt Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi rằng: Tổ phụ tôi là người A-ram phiêu lưu, đi xuống xứ Ê-díp-tô kiều ngụ tại đó, số người ít, mà lại trở thành một dân tộc lớn, mạnh và đông.

⁶And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

⁶Người Ê-díp-tô ngược đãi và khắc bức chúng tôi, bắt làm công dịch nhọc nhằn.

⁷And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labor, and our oppression:

⁷Bấy giờ, chúng tôi kêu van cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của tổ phụ chúng tôi. Ðức Giê-hô-va nghe thấu, thấy sự gian nan lao khổ và sự hà hiếp của chúng tôi,

⁸And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

⁸bèn dùng cánh tay quyền năng giơ thẳng ra và các dấu kỳ, phép lạ lớn đáng kinh khủng, mà rút chúng tôi khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô,

⁹And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

⁹dẫn chúng tôi vào nơi nầy, và ban xứ nầy cho, tức là xứ đượm sữa và mật.

¹⁰And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:

¹⁰Vậy bây giờ, Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! tôi đem những hoa quả đầu mùa của đất mà Ngài đã ban cho tôi. Ðoạn, ngươi sẽ để hoa quả đó trước mặt Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, và thờ lạy trước mặt Ngài;

¹¹And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

¹¹rồi ngươi, người Lê-vi, và kẻ khách lạ ở giữa ngươi, luôn với nhà của người sẽ vui vẻ về các phước lành mà Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi đã ban cho ngươi.

¹²When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

¹²Khi ngươi đã thâu xong các thuế một phần mười về huê lợi năm thứ ba, là năm thuế một phần mười, thì phải cấp thuế đó cho người Lê-vi, khách lạ, kẻ mồ côi, và cho người góa bụa, dùng làm lương thực trong các thành ngươi, và những người ấy sẽ ăn no nê;

¹³Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

¹³rồi ngươi sẽ nói tại trước mặt Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, rằng: Tôi đã đem những vật thánh khỏi nhà tôi và cấp cho người Lê-vi, khách lạ, kẻ mồ côi, cùng người góa bụa, chiếu theo các mạng lịnh mà Ngài đã phán dặn tôi; tôi không phạm, cũng không quên một mạng lịnh nào của Ngài.

¹⁴I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

¹⁴Trong lúc tang chế, tôi không ăn đến vật thánh nầy; khi bị ô uế, tôi không đụng đến đó, và cũng không vì một người chết mà dùng đến; tôi vâng theo tiếng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, và làm y như mọi điều Ngài đã phán dặn tôi.

¹⁵Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

¹⁵Cầu Chúa từ nơi cư-sở thánh của Ngài trên trời cao, đoái xem và ban phước cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Ngài, cùng đất mà Ngài đã ban cho chúng tôi, tức là xứ đượm sữa và mật nầy, y như Ngài đã thề cùng tổ phụ chúng tôi.

¹⁶This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

¹⁶Ngày nay, Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi dặn biểu ngươi làm theo các luật lệ và mạng lịnh nầy; vậy, phải hết lòng hết ý mà làm theo cách kỷ cang.

¹⁷Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

¹⁷Ngày nay, ngươi hứa nhận Giê-hô-va làm Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, đi theo đường lối Ngài, gìn giữ các luật lệ, điều răn và mạng lịnh Ngài, cùng vâng theo tiếng phán của Ngài.

¹⁸And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

¹⁸Ngày nay, Ðức Giê-hô-va đã hứa nhận ngươi làm một dân thuộc riêng về Ngài, y như Ngài đã phán cùng ngươi, và ngươi sẽ gìn giữ hết các điều răn Ngài,

¹⁹And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

¹⁹để Ngài ban cho ngươi sự khen ngợi, danh tiếng, và sự tôn trọng trổi hơn mọi dân mà Ngài đã tạo, và ngươi trở nên một dân thành cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, y như Ngài đã phán vậy.
