¹Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

¹Năm thứ ba mươi, ngày mồng năm tháng tư, khi ta đương ở giữa phu tù, trước bờ sông Kê-ba, các từng trời mở ra, và ta xem những sự hiện thấy của Ðức Chúa Trời.

²In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

²Ngày mồng năm tháng ấy, bấy giờ là năm thứ năm sau khi vua Giê-hô-gia-kin bị bắt làm phu tù,

³The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

³lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va được phán riêng cho thầy tế lễ Ê-xê-chi-ên, con trai Bu-xi, tại trong đất người Canh-đê, trên bờ sông Kê-ba. Ấy là tại đó mà tay Ðức Giê-hô-va đặt trên người.

⁴And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

⁴Nầy, ta thấy có luồng gió bão đến từ phương bắc, một đám mây lớn bọc lửa giãi sáng khắp tư bề; từ giữa nó, thấy như loài kim bóng nhoáng ra từ chính giữa lửa.

⁵Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

⁵Từ giữa nó, thấy giống như bốn vật sống, hình trạng như vầy: bộ giống người,

⁶And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

⁶mỗi con có bốn mặt và bốn cánh.

⁷And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

⁷Chơn nó thẳng, bàn chơn như bàn chơn bò con đực; sáng ngời như đồng bóng nhoáng.

⁸And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

⁸Dưới những cánh nó, bốn bên đều có tay người; bốn con có mặt và có cánh mình như sau nầy:

⁹Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

⁹cánh tiếp giáp nhau khi đi, không xây lại, mỗi con cứ đi thẳng tới.

¹⁰As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

¹⁰Còn như hình mặt nó, thì bốn con đều có mặt người; bốn con đều có mặt sư tử ở bên hữu; bốn con đều có mặt bò ở bên tả; và bốn con đều có mặt chim ưng.

¹¹Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

¹¹Những mặt và cánh phân rẽ ra bởi trên cao; mỗi con có hai cánh giáp với nhau, và có hai cánh che thân mình.

¹²And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

¹²Mỗi con đi thẳng tới: thần khiến đi đâu thì đi đó, không xây mình lại trong khi đi.

¹³As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

¹³Hình trạng của những vật sống ấy giống như hình trạng than đỏ và đuốc lửa; lửa lên xuống giữa các vật sống ấy, lửa nhoáng sáng và có chớp từ nó phát ra.

¹⁴And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

¹⁴Các vật sống ấy chạy đi và trở lại như hình trạng chớp nhoáng.

¹⁵Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

¹⁵Vả, đang khi ta ngắm xem các vật sống ấy, nầy, trên đất có một cái bánh xe ở kề bên các vật sống ấy, mỗi một trong bốn mặt đều có một bánh xe.

¹⁶The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

¹⁶Hình và kiểu những bánh xe ấy giống như bích ngọc; hết thảy bốn bánh đều giống nhau; hình và kiểu như là bánh xe trong bánh xe.

¹⁷When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

¹⁷Khi đi tới, thì đều đi bốn phía mình: khi đi không phải xây lại.

¹⁸As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

¹⁸Vòng bánh xe cao và dễ sợ; và vòng bánh xe của bốn con đều đầy những mắt.

¹⁹And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

¹⁹Khi các vật sống đi, các bánh xe cũng đi kề bên; các vật sống bị cất lên khỏi đất, các bánh xe cũng bị cất lên như vậy.

²⁰Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²⁰Thần muốn đi đâu thì các vật sống đi đó; thần đi đó thì các bánh xe cũng bị cất lên kề bên các vật sống; vì thần của vật sống đó ở trong các bánh xe.

²¹When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²¹Khi các vật sống đi, chúng nó cũng đi; dừng, chúng nó cũng dừng; và khi các vật sống bị cất lên khỏi đất, thì các bánh xe cũng bị cất lên kề bên, vì thần của vật sống ở trong các bánh xe.

²²And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

²²Ở trên đầu vật sống, thấy một vòng khung, giống như thủy tinh dễ sợ, giãi ra trên đầu chúng nó.

²³And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

²³Dưới vòng khung đó, các cánh nó sè thẳng ra, cái nầy đối với cái kia. Các vật ấy mỗi con có hai cánh che thân thể mình ở bên nầy và bên kia.

²⁴And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

²⁴Khi đi tới, ta nghe tiếng của những cánh chúng nó, như nước lớn ầm ầm, như tiếng của Ðấng Toàn năng, tiếng om sòm như tiếng một đạo binh vậy. Khi dừng lại, thì xủ cánh xuống.

²⁵And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

²⁵Lúc chúng nó dừng lại và xủ cánh xuống, thì từ nơi vòng khung trên đầy có tiếng vang ra.

²⁶And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

²⁶Bên trên vòng khung giãi trên đầu các vật sống, có hình như cái ngai, trạng nó như là bính ngọc; trên hình ngai ấy có hình như người ở trên nó.

²⁷And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

²⁷Trong ngai và mọi nơi chung quanh, ta cũng thấy như đồng bóng nhoáng, giống lửa, từ trạng ngang lưng người ấy trở lên; và từ trạng ngang lưng trở xuống, ta thấy như lửa sáng hừng chung quanh.

²⁸As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

²⁸Ánh sáng thấy chung quanh đó giống như ánh sáng của cái mống trong mây khi đương mưa. Ấy là tỏ ra hình trạng của sự vinh quang Ðức Giê-hô-va. Ta thấy thì sấp mặt xuống, và nghe tiếng của một Ðấng phán cùng ta.
