¹And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

¹Có một chồi sẽ nứt lên từ gốc Y-sai, một nhành từ rễ nó sẽ ra trái.

²And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

²Thần của Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ ngự trên Ngài, tức là thần khôn ngoan và thông sáng, thần mưu toan và mạnh sức, thần hiểu biết và kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va.

³And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

³Ngài lấy sự kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va làm vui; chẳng phán xét theo mắt mình thấy, và chẳng cứ sự tai nghe mà đoán định.

⁴But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

⁴Nhưng Ngài sẽ dùng sự công bình xét đoán kẻ nghèo, và xử lẽ ngay thẳng cho kẻ nhu mì trên đất. Ngài sẽ đánh thế gian bằng cái gậy của mình mình, và lấy hơi thở nơi môi mà giết kẻ ác.

⁵And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

⁵Sự công bình sẽ làm dây thắt lưng của Ngài, sự thành tín sẽ làm dây ràng hông.

⁶The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁶Bấy giờ muông sói sẽ ở với chiên con, beo nằm với dê con; bò con, sư tử con với bò nuôi mập cùng chung một chỗ, một đứa con trẻ sẽ dắt chúng nó đi.

⁷And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

⁷Bò cái sẽ ăn với gấu; các con nhỏ chúng nó nằm chung, sư tử ăn cỏ khô như bò.

⁸And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

⁸Trẻ con đương bú sẽ chơi kề ở rắn hổ mang, trẻ con thôi bú sẽ thò tay vào hang rắn lục.

⁹They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

⁹Nó chẳng làm hại, chẳng giết ai trong cả núi thánh của ta; vì thế gian sẽ đầy dẫy sự hiểu biết Ðức Giê-hô-va, như các dòng nước che lấp biển.

¹⁰And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

¹⁰Xảy ra trong ngày đó, rễ Y-sai đứng lên làm cờ cho muôn dân, các nước đều tìm đến Ngài, nơi an nghỉ của Ngài sẽ được vinh hiển.

¹¹And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹¹Trong ngày đó, Chúa còn đặt tay một lần nữa đặng chuộc dân sót của Ngài, tức là kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, Ê-díp-tô, Pha-trô, Cút, Ê-lam, Si-nê-a, Ha-mát cùng các cù lao biển.

¹²And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹²Chúa sẽ dựng một cây cờ cho các nước; nhóm những người Y-sơ-ra-ên bị đuổi, thâu những người Giu-đa lưu lạc, từ bốn góc đất.

¹³The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

¹³Bấy giờ sự ghen tương của Ép-ra-im sẽ mất, kẻ khuấy rối Giu-đa sẽ bị trừ đi; Ép-ra-im không ghen ghét Giu-đa nữa, Giu-đa không khuấy rối Ép-ra-im nữa.

¹⁴But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

¹⁴Chúng nó sẽ bay trên vai đến Phi-li-tin về phía tây; cùng nhau cướp giựt con cái phương đông; tra tay trên Ê-đôm và Mô-áp; con cái Am-môn sẽ vâng phục họ.

¹⁵And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

¹⁵Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm cạn tắt giải biển Ê-díp-tô; vung tay trên Sông cái bởi gió cháy của Ngài, đánh mà chia ra làm bảy suối, và khiến người ta có thể đi qua không ướt dép.

¹⁶And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁶Vậy, sẽ có một đường cái cho dân sót của Ngài, là những kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, cũng như đã có một đường cái cho Y-sơ-ra-ên trong ngày họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô vậy.
