¹Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

¹Binh-đát, người Su-a, bèn đáp rằng:

²How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

²Ông gài bẫy bằng các lời mình cho đến chừng nào? Hãy suy nghĩ, rồi chúng tôi sẽ nói.

³Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

³Nhân sao chúng tôi bị coi như thú vật, Và ngu dại trước mặt ông?

⁴He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

⁴Ông nổi giận bèn xẻ rạch mình, Há vì ông mà trái đất sẽ bị bỏ hoang, Và hòn đá phải dời đi khỏi chỗ nó sao?

⁵Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

⁵Thật ánh sáng kẻ ác sẽ tắt đi, Ngọn lửa của hắn không chói nữa.

⁶The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

⁶Ánh sáng sẽ mờ tối trong trại hắn, Ngọn đèn hắn sẽ tắt ở bên hắn.

⁷The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

⁷Các bước mạnh bạo hắn sẽ bị cuồng đi, Chánh các mưu chước người sẽ đánh đổ người.

⁸For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

⁸Vì hắn bị chơn mình hãm vào cái bẩy, Và đi trên mảnh lưới.

⁹The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

⁹Cái bẩy sẽ thắt lưng hắn nơi gót chân, Và dò lưới sẽ bắt nó.

¹⁰The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

¹⁰Có sợi dây khuất dưới đất, Và cái bẫy ẩn tại trên đường để hãm lấy nó.

¹¹Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

¹¹Từ bốn phía sự kinh khủng sẽ làm cho hắn bối rối, Xô đẩy người đây đó, buộc vấn bước người.

¹²His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

¹²Sức lực hắn vì đói khát sẽ ra yếu, Và tai họa chực sẵn ở bên cạnh người.

¹³It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

¹³Các chi thể hắn sẽ bị tiêu nuốt, Tất sẽ bị con đầu lòng của sự chết tiêu nuốt.

¹⁴His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

¹⁴Hắn sẽ bị rút ra khỏi nhà trại mình, là nơi hắn nương cậy; Ðoạn bị dẫn đến vua của sự kinh khiếp.

¹⁵It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

¹⁵Kẻ chẳng thuộc về hắn sẽ ở trong trại hắn, Còn diêm sanh sẽ rải ra trên chỗ ở của nó.

¹⁶His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

¹⁶Ở dưới thì rễ hắn khô héo, ở trên lại bị chặt nhành.

¹⁷His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

¹⁷Kỷ niệm hắn sẽ diệt khỏi thế gian, Danh hắn không lưu lại trên mặt đất.

¹⁸He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

¹⁸Hắn bị xô đuổi khỏi ánh sáng mà vào tối tăm, Và người ta khu trục nó khỏi thế gian.

¹⁹He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

¹⁹Hắn sẽ chẳng có con cháu giữa dân sự mình, Cũng không có ai còn sống tại trong nơi ở mình.

²⁰They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

²⁰Những người hậu sanh sẽ lấy làm sững sờ về ngày của hắn, Y như kẻ tiền bối đã lấy làm kinh khiếp.

²¹Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.

²¹Quả thật đó là nơi ở của kẻ bất công, Và ấy là chốn của người không biết Ðức Chúa Trời.
