¹And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

¹Cách ba ngày sau, có đám cưới tại thành Ca-na, trong xứ Ga-li-lê, và mẹ Ðức Chúa Jêsus có tại đó.

²And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

²Ðức Chúa Jêsus cũng được mời đến dự đám với môn đồ Ngài.

³And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

³Vừa khi thiếu rượu, mẹ Ðức Chúa Jêsus nói với Ngài rằng: Người ta không có rượu nữa.

⁴Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

⁴Ðức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Hỡi đờn bà kia, ta với ngươi có sự gì chăng? Giờ ta chưa đến.

⁵His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

⁵Mẹ Ngài nói với những kẻ hầu bàn rằng: Người biểu chi, hãy vâng theo cả.

⁶And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

⁶Vả, tại đó có sáu cái ché đá, định dùng về sự rửa sạch cho người Giu-đa, mỗi cái chứa hai ba lường nước.

⁷Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

⁷Ðức Chúa Jêsus biểu họ rằng: Hãy đổ nước đầy những ché nầy; thì họ đổ đầy tới miệng.

⁸And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

⁸Ngài bèn phán rằng: Bây giờ hãy múc đi, đem cho kẻ coi tiệc. Họ bèn đem cho.

⁹When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

⁹Lúc kẻ coi tiệc nếm nước đã biến thành rượu (vả, người không biết rượu nầy đến bởi đâu, còn những kẻ hầu bàn có múc nước thì biết rõ), bèn gọi chàng rể,

¹⁰And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

¹⁰mà nói rằng: Mọi người đều đãi rượu ngon trước, sau khi người ta uống nhiều rồi, thì kế đến rượu vừa vừa. Còn ngươi, ngươi lại giữ rượu ngon đến bây giờ.

¹¹This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

¹¹Ấy là tại Ca-na, trong xứ Ga-li-lê, mà Ðức Chúa Jêsus làm phép lạ thứ nhất, và tỏ bày sự vinh hiển của mình như vậy; môn đồ bèn tin Ngài.

¹²After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

¹²Sau việc đó, Ngài với mẹ, anh em, và môn đồ Ngài đều xuống thành Ca-bê-na-um; và chỉ ở đó ít ngày thôi.

¹³And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹³Lễ Vượt Qua của dân Giu-đa hầu đến; Ðức Chúa Jêsus lên thành Giê-ru-sa-lem.

¹⁴And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

¹⁴Trong đền thờ, Ngài thấy có người buôn bán bò, chiên, bò câu, và có người đổi bạc dọn hàng ở đó.

¹⁵And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

¹⁵Ngài bện một cái roi bằng dây, bèn đuổi hết thảy khỏi đền thờ, chiên và bò nữa; vải tiền người đổi bạc và đổ bàn của họ.

¹⁶And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

¹⁶Ngài phán cùng kẻ bán bò câu rằng: Hãy cất bỏ đồ đó khỏi đây, đừng làm cho nhà Cha ta thành ra nhà buôn bán.

¹⁷And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

¹⁷Môn đồ Ngài bèn nhớ lại lời đã chép rằng: Sự sốt sắng về nhà Chúa tiêu nuốt tôi.

¹⁸Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

¹⁸Các người Giu-đa cất tiếng thưa cùng Ngài rằng: Thầy làm như vậy thì cho chúng tôi xem thấy phép lạ chi?

¹⁹Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

¹⁹Ðức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Hãy phá đền thờ nầy đi, trong ba ngày ta sẽ dựng lại!

²⁰Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

²⁰Người Giu-đa lại nói: Người ta xây đền thờ nầy mất bốn mươi sáu năm, mà thầy thì sẽ dựng lại trong ba ngày!

²¹But he spake of the temple of his body.

²¹Nhưng Ngài nói về đền thờ của thân thể mình.

²²When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

²²Vậy, sau khi Ngài được từ kẻ chết sống lại rồi, môn đồ gẫm Ngài có nói lời đó, thì tin Kinh Thánh và lời Ðức Chúa Jêsus đã phán.

²³Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

²³Ðương lúc Ngài ở thành Giê-ru-sa-lem để giữ lễ Vượt Qua, có nhiều người thấy phép lạ Ngài làm, thì tin danh Ngài.

²⁴But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

²⁴Nhưng Ðức Chúa Jêsus chẳng phó thác mình cho họ, vì Ngài nhận biết mọi người,

²⁵And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

²⁵và không cần ai làm chứng về người nào, bởi Ngài tự thấu mọi điều trong lòng người ta.
