¹This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.

¹Phần đất bắt thăm trúng về chi phái Giu-đa, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng, chạy từ phía giới hạn Ê-đôm tại đồng vắng Xin về phía nam, đến cuối miền nam.

²And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:

²Giới hạn phía nam chạy từ đầu Biển mặn, tức là từ phía ở ngay về hướng nam;

³And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:

³rồi từ dốc Aïc-ráp-bim chạy dài xuống miềng nam, đi ngang qua Xin, lên phía nam Ca-đe-Ba-nê-a, đi ngang qua Hết-rôn, lên hướng Át-đa, vòng qua Cạt-ca,

⁴From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

⁴đi ngang về hướng Át-nôn, đổ vào khe Ê-díp-tô, rồi giáp biển. Ấy đó sẽ là giới hạn phía nam của các ngươi.

⁵And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:

⁵Giới hạn về hướng đông là từ Biển mặn cho đến vàm sông Giô-đanh. Giới hạn phía bắc chạy từ phía biển nơi vàm sông Giô-đanh,

⁶And the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:

⁶đi lên Bết-Hốt-la, trải qua phía bắc Bết-a-ra-ba, và chạy đến hòn đá Bô-han con trai của Ru-bên.

⁷And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:

⁷Ðoạn, giới hạn này đi lên về hướng Ðê-bia, từ trũng A-cô chạy tới hướng bắc về phía Ghinh-ganh, đối ngang dốc A-đu-mim tại phía nam khe; rồi trải qua gần mé nước Eân-Sê-mết, và giáp Eân-Rô-ghên.

⁸And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

⁸Từ đó giới hạn đi lên ngang qua trũng con trai Hi-nôm, về cạnh nam của Giê-hu, tức là Giê-ru-sa-lem. Kế đó, nó chạy lên cho đến chót núi nằm ngang trũng Hi-nôm về hướng tây, ở đầu phía bắc trũng Rê-pha-im.

⁹And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:

⁹Giới hạn này chạy từ chót núi đến suối nước Nép-thô-ách, và ăn về hướng các thành của núi Ép-rôn; rồi đi luôn đến Ba-la, là Ki-ri-át-Giê-a-rim.

¹⁰And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah:

¹⁰Nó vòng từ Ba-la qua hướng tây về lối núi Sê -i-rơ, rồi theo hướng bắc đi ngang qua phía núi Giê-ra-im, tức là Kê-sa-lôn; kế chạy xuống đến Bết-Sê-mết và qua Thim-na.

¹¹And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

¹¹Từ đó giới hạn này cứ đi theo phía bắc Éc-rôn; đoạn băng qua hướng Siếc-rôn, trải qua núi Ba-la, ăn thẳng đến Giáp-nê-ên, rồi giáp biển.

¹²And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

¹²Còn giới hạn phía tây, ấy là biển lớn. Ðó là giới hạn về bốn phía của người Giu-đa, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng.

¹³And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.

¹³Người ta ban cho ca-lép, con trai Giê-phu-nê, một phần ở giữa người Giu-đa, tùy theo mạng lịnh của Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cho Giô-suê, là thành của A-ra-ba, cha A-nác. Ấy là thành Hếp-rôn.

¹⁴And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

¹⁴Ca-lép bèn đuổi đi ba con trai của A-nác, là Sê-sai, A-hi-nam, và Tha-mai.

¹⁵And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.

¹⁵Từ đó người đi lên đánh dân thành Ðê-bia; thuở xưa tên Ðê-bia là Ki-ri-át-Sê-phe.

¹⁶And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

¹⁶Ca-lép nói rằng: Ta sẽ gả con gái ta là Aïc-sa, làm vợ cho người nào đánh và chiếm lấy Ki-ri-át-Sê-phe.

¹⁷And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

¹⁷Oát-ni-ên, con trai của Kê-na, cháu Ca-lép, bèn chiếm được thành; Ca-lép gả Aïc-sa, con gái mình, cho người làm vợ.

¹⁸And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?

¹⁸Vả, xảy khi nàng vào nhà Oát-ni-ên, có thúc giục người xin cha mình một sở ruộng. Nàng leo xuống lừa; Ca-lép hỏi rằng: Con muốn chi?

¹⁹Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.

¹⁹Nàng thưa rằng: Xin cha ban một của phước cho con; vì cha lập con nơi đất miền nam, nên hãy cho con mấy suối nước. Người bèn ban cho nàng các suối ở trên và ở dưới.

²⁰This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.

²⁰Ðó là sản nghiệp của chi phái Giu-đa, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng.

²¹And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

²¹Các thành ở đầu cùng chi phái Giu-đa, về phía ranh Ê-đôm tại miền nam là: Cáp-sê-ên, Ê-đe, Gia-gua,

²²And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

²²Ki-na, Ði-mô-na, A-đe-a-đa,

²³And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

²³Kê-đe, Hát-so, Gít-nan,

²⁴Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,

²⁴Xíp, Tê-lem, Bê-a-lốt,

²⁵And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor,

²⁵Hát-so-Ha-đa-tha, Kê-ri-giốt-Hết-rôn, tức là Hát-so;

²⁶Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,

²⁶A-mam, Sê-ma, Mô-la-đa,

²⁷And Hazargaddah, and Heshmon, and Bethpalet,

²⁷Hát-sa-ga-đa, Hết-môn, Bết-Pha-lê,

²⁸And Hazarshual, and Beersheba, and Bizjothjah,

²⁸Hát-sa-Su-anh, Bê -e-Sê-ba, Bi-sốt-gia,

²⁹Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,

²⁹Ba-la, Y-dim, Ê-xem,

³⁰And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,

³⁰Ê-thô-lát, Kê-sinh, Họt-ma,

³¹And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

³¹Xiếc-lát, Mát-ma-na, San-sa-na,

³²And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:

³²Lê-ba-ốt, Si-lim, S-in, và Rim-môn: hết thảy là hai mươi chín thành với các làng của nó.

³³And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,

³³Trong đồng bằng là: Ết-tha-ôn, Xô-rê-a. Át-na

³⁴And Zanoah, and Engannim, Tappuah, and Enam,

³⁴Xa-nô-ách, Eân-ga-nim, Tháp-bu-ách, Ê-nam,

³⁵Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,

³⁵Giạt-mút, A-đu-lam, Sô-cô, A-xê-ca

³⁶And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:

³⁶Sa-a-ra-im, A-đi-tha-im, Ghê-đê-ra, và Ghê-đê-rô-tha-im: hết thảy là mười bốn thành với các làng của nó.

³⁷Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdalgad,

³⁷Lại có Xê-nan, Ha-đa-sa, Mích-đanh-Gát,

³⁸And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

³⁸Ði-lan, Mít-bê, Giốc-thê-ên,

³⁹Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,

³⁹La-ki, Bốt-cát, Éc-lôn,

⁴⁰And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,

⁴⁰Cáp-bôn, Lách-ma, Kít-lít,

⁴¹And Gederoth, Bethdagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:

⁴¹Ghê-đê-rốt, Bết-Ða-gôn, Na-a-ma, và Ma-kê-đa: hết thảy là mười sáu thành với các làng của nó;

⁴²Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,

⁴²Líp-na, Ê-the, A-san,

⁴³And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,

⁴³Díp-tách, Át-na, Nết-síp,

⁴⁴And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:

⁴⁴Kê -i-la, Aïc-xíp, và Ma-rê-sa: hết thảy là chín thành với các làng của nó;

⁴⁵Ekron, with her towns and her villages:

⁴⁵Éc-rôn, với các thành địa hạt và làng của nó;

⁴⁶From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:

⁴⁶các thành ở gần Ách-đốt cùng các làng của nó, từ Éc-rôn về hướng tây;

⁴⁷Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:

⁴⁷Ách-đốt, các thành địa hạt, cùng các làng của nó; Ga-xa, các thành địa hạt, cùng các làng của nó, cho đến khe Ê-díp-tô, và biển lớn dùng làm giới hạn.

⁴⁸And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

⁴⁸Trong miền núi là: Sa-mia, Giạt-thia, Sô-cô,

⁴⁹And Dannah, and Kirjathsannah, which is Debir,

⁴⁹Ða-na, Ki-ri-át-Sa-na, tức là Ðê-bia,

⁵⁰And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

⁵⁰A-náp, Ết-thê-mô, A-nim,

⁵¹And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:

⁵¹Gô-sen, Hô-lôn, Ghi-lô: hết thảy mười một thành cùng các làng của nó;

⁵²Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,

⁵²A-ráp, Ru-ma, Ê-sê-an,

⁵³And Janum, and Bethtappuah, and Aphekah,

⁵³Gia-num, Bết-Tháp-bu-ách, A-phê-ca,

⁵⁴And Humtah, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:

⁵⁴Hum-ta, Ki-ri-át-a-ra-ba, tức là Hếp-rôn và Si-ô: hết thảy chín thành với các làng của nó;

⁵⁵Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,

⁵⁵Ma-ôn, Cạt-mên, Xíp, Giu-ta,

⁵⁶And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

⁵⁶Gít-rê-ên, Giốc-đê-am, Xa-nô-ách;

⁵⁷Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:

⁵⁷Ca-in, Ghi-bê-a, và Thim-na: hết thảy mười thành với các làng của nó;

⁵⁸Halhul, Bethzur, and Gedor,

⁵⁸Hanh-hun, Bết-Xu-rơ, Ghê-đô,

⁵⁹And Maarath, and Bethanoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:

⁵⁹Ma-a-rát, Bết-a-nốt và Eân-thê-côn: hết thảy sáu thành với cáng làng của nó;

⁶⁰Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:

⁶⁰Ki-ri-át-Ba-anh, tức là Ki-ri-át-Giê-a-rim, và Ráp-ba: hết thảy hai thành với các làng của nó;

⁶¹In the wilderness, Betharabah, Middin, and Secacah,

⁶¹trong đồng vắng có Bết-a-ra-ba, Mi-đin, Sê-ca-ca;

⁶²And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.

⁶²Níp-san, Yết-Ha-mê-lách, và Eân-ghê-đi: hết thảy sáu thành với các làng của nó.

⁶³As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.

⁶³Vả, người Giu-đa không đuổi được dân Giê-bu-sít ở tại Giê-ru-sa-lem; nên dân Giê-bu-sít còn ở chung cùng người Giu-đa tại Giê-ru-sa-lem cho đến ngày nay.
