¹Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

¹Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời mà tôi ngợi khen, xin chớ nín lặng.

²For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

²Vì miệng kẻ ác và miệng kẻ gian lận Hả ra nghịch tôi: Chúng nó nói nghịch tôi bằng lưỡi láo xược.

³They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

³Vây phủ tôi bằng lời ghen ghét, Và tranh đấu với tôi vô cớ.

⁴For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

⁴Vì tình thương của tôi, chúng nó lại trở cừu địch tôi; Nhưng tôi chỉ chuyên lòng cầu nguyện.

⁵And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

⁵Chúng nó lấy dữ trả lành, Lấy ghét báo thương.

⁶Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

⁶Hãy đặt một kẻ ác cai trị nó, Cho kẻ cừu địch đứng bên hữu nó.

⁷When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

⁷Khi nó bị đoán xét, nguyện nó ra kẻ có tội, Và lời cầu nguyện nó bị kể như tội lỗi.

⁸Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

⁸Nguyện số các ngày nó ra ít. Nguyện kẻ khác chiếm lấy chức phận nó đi.

⁹Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

⁹Nguyện con cái nó phải mồ côi, Và vợ nó bị góa bụa.

¹⁰Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

¹⁰Nguyện con cái nó hoang đàng và ăn mày, Phải đi xin ăn xa khỏi nhà hoang của chúng nó.

¹¹Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

¹¹Nguyện chủ nợ tận thủ mọi vật nó có. Kẻ ngoại cướp lấy huê lợi về công lao nó.

¹²Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

¹²Nguyện chẳng ai làm ơn cho nó, Không ai có lòng thương xót con mồ côi nó.

¹³Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

¹³Nguyện dòng dõi nó bị diệt đi, Tên chúng nó bị xóa mất trong đời kế sau.

¹⁴Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

¹⁴Nguyện sự gian ác tổ phụ nó bị nhắc lại trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va; Nguyện tội lỗi mẹ nó không hề bôi bỏ được.

¹⁵Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

¹⁵Nguyện các tội ác ấy hằng ở trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, Ðể Ngài cất kỷ niệm chúng nó khỏi đất;

¹⁶Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

¹⁶Bởi vì người không nhớ làm ơn, Song bắt bớ người khốn cùng thiếu thốn, Và kẻ có lòng đau thương, đặng giết đi.

¹⁷As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

¹⁷Nó ưa sự rủa sả, sự rủa sả bèn lâm vào nó; Cũng không thích chúc phước; phước bèn cách xa nó.

¹⁸As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

¹⁸Nó cũng mặc mình bằng sự rủa sả khác nào bằng cái áo; Sự rủa sả chun thấm vào thân nó như nước, Vô xương cốt như dầu.

¹⁹Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

¹⁹Nguyện sự rủa sả vì nó làm như cái áo để đắp mình, Như cái đai để thắt lưng luôn luôn.

²⁰Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

²⁰Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ báo trả như vậy cho kẻ cừu địch tôi, Và cho những kẻ nói hành linh hồn tôi.

²¹But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

²¹Nhưng, hỡi Chúa Giê-hô-va, nhơn danh Chúa, xin hãy hậu đãi tôi; Vì sự nhơn từ Chúa là tốt; xin hãy giải cứu tôi;

²²For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

²²Vì tôi khốn cùng thiếu thốn, Lòng tôi bị đau thương trong mình tôi.

²³I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

²³Tôi qua đời như bóng ngã dài, Bị đuổi đây đuổi đó khác nào cào cào.

²⁴My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

²⁴Gối tôi run yếu vì kiêng ăn, Thịt tôi ra ốm, không còn mập nữa.

²⁵I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

²⁵Tôi cũng thành sự sỉ nhục cho chúng nó; Hễ chúng nó thấy tôi bèn lắc đầu.

²⁶Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

²⁶Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi ôi! xin giúp đỡ tôi, Cứu tôi theo sự nhơn từ Chúa;

²⁷That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

²⁷Hầu cho người ta biết rằng ấy đây là tay Chúa, Chính Ngài, Ðức Giê-hô-va ơi, đã làm điều đó.

²⁸Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

²⁸Chúng nó thì rủa sả, nhưng Chúa lại ban phước. Khi chúng nó dấy lên, ắt sẽ bị hổ thẹn, Còn kẻ tôi tớ Chúa sẽ được vui vẻ.

²⁹Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

²⁹Nguyện kẻ cừu địch tôi phải mặc mình bằng sự sỉ nhục, Bao phủ mình bằng sự hổ thẹn nó khác nào bằng cái áo.

³⁰I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

³⁰Bấy giờ miệng tôi sẽ hết sức cảm tạ Ðức Giê-hô-va, Ngợi khen Ngài ở giữa đoàn đông;

³¹For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

³¹Vì Ngài đứng bên hữu người thiếu thốn, Ðặng giải cứu người khỏi kẻ đoán xét linh hồn người.
