¹Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

¹Chớ phiền lòng vì cớ kẻ làm dữ, Cũng đừng ghen tị kẻ tập tành sự gian ác.

²For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

²Vì chẳng bao lâu chúng nó sẽ bị phát như cỏ, Và phải héo như cỏ tươi xanh.

³Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

³Hãy tin cậy Ðức Giê-hô-va, và làm điều lành; Khá ở trong xứ, và nuôi mình bằng sự thành tín của Ngài.

⁴Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

⁴Cũng hãy khoái lạc nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va, Thì Ngài sẽ ban cho ngươi điều lòng mình ao ước.

⁵Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

⁵Hãy phó thác đường lối mình cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, Và nhờ cậy nơi Ngài, thì Ngài sẽ làm thành việc ấy.

⁶And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

⁶Ngài sẽ khiến công bình ngươi lộ ra như ánh sáng, Và tỏ ra lý đoán ngươi như chánh ngọ.

⁷Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

⁷Hãy yên tịnh trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, và chờ đợi Ngài. Chớ phiền lòng vì cớ kẻ được may mắn trong con đường mình, Hoặc vì cớ người làm thành những mưu ác.

⁸Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

⁸Hãy dẹp sự giận, và bỏ sự giận hoảng; Chớ phiền lòng, vì điều đó chỉ gây ra việc ác.

⁹For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

⁹Vì những kẻ làm ác sẽ bị diệt; Còn kẻ nào trông đợi Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ được đất làm cơ nghiệp.

¹⁰For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

¹⁰Một chút nữa kẻ ác không còn. Ngươi sẽ xem xét chỗ hắn, thật không còn nữa.

¹¹But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

¹¹Song người hiền từ sẽ nhận được đất làm cơ nghiệp, Và được khoái lạc về bình yên dư dật.

¹²The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

¹²Kẻ ác lập mưu nghịch người công bình, Và nghiến răng cùng người.

¹³The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

¹³Chúa sẽ chê cười nó, Vì thấy ngày phạt nó hầu đến.

¹⁴The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

¹⁴Kẻ ác đã rút gươm và giương cung mình, Ðặng đánh đổ người khốn cùng và kẻ thiếu thốn, Ðặng giết người đi theo sự ngay thẳng.

¹⁵Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

¹⁵Gươm chúng nó sẽ đâm vào lòng chúng nó, Và cung chúng nó sẽ bị gãy.

¹⁶A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

¹⁶Của người công bình tuy ít, Còn hơn sự dư dật của nhiều người ác.

¹⁷For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

¹⁷Vì cánh tay kẻ ác sẽ bị gãy, Nhưng Ðức Giê-hô-va nâng đỡ người công bình.

¹⁸The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

¹⁸Ðức Giê-hô-va biết số ngày kẻ trọn vẹn, Và cơ nghiệp người sẽ còn đến đời đời.

¹⁹They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

¹⁹Trong thì xấu xa họ không bị hổ thẹn; Trong ngày đói kém họ được no nê.

²⁰But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

²⁰Còn kẻ ác sẽ hư mất, Những kẻ thù nghịch Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ như mỡ chiên con: Chúng nó phải đốt tiêu, tan đi như khói.

²¹The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

²¹Kẻ ác mượn, mà không trả lại; Còn người công bình làm ơn, và ban cho.

²²For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

²²Vì người mà Ðức Chúa Trời ban phước cho sẽ nhận được đất; Còn kẻ mà Ngài rủa sả sẽ bị diệt đi.

²³The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

²³Ðức Giê-hô-va định liệu các bước của người, Và Ngài thích đường lối người:

²⁴Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

²⁴Dầu người té, cùng không nắm sải dài; Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va lấy tay Ngài nâng đỡ người.

²⁵I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

²⁵Trước tôi trẻ, rày đã già, Nhưng chẳng hề thấy người công bình bị bỏ, Hay là dòng dõi người đi ăn mày.

²⁶He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

²⁶Hằng ngày người thương xót, và cho mượn; Dòng dõi người được phước.

²⁷Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

²⁷Hãy tránh điều dữ, và làm điều lành, Thì sẽ được ở đời đời.

²⁸For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

²⁸Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va chuộng sự công bình, Không từ bỏ người thánh của Ngài; họ được Ngài gìn giữ đời đời: Còn dòng dõi kẻ dữ sẽ bị diệt đi.

²⁹The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

²⁹Người công bình sẽ nhận được đất, Và ở tại đó đời đời.

³⁰The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

³⁰Miệng người công bình xưng điều khôn ngoan, Và lưỡi người nói sự chánh trực.

³¹The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

³¹Luật pháp Ðức Chúa Trời người ở trong lòng người; Bước người không hề xiêu tó.

³²The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

³²Kẻ ác rình rập người công bình, Và tìm giết người.

³³The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

³³Ðức Giê-hô-va không bỏ người trong tay hắn, Cũng chẳng định tội cho người khi người bị đoán xét.

³⁴Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

³⁴Hãy trông đợi Ðức Giê-hô-va, và giữ theo đường Ngài, Thì Ngài sẽ nâng ngươi khiến để nhận được đất! Khi kẻ ác bị diệt đi, thì ngươi sẽ thấy điều ấy.

³⁵I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

³⁵Tôi từng thấy kẻ ác có thế lực lớn, Trải ra như cây xanh tươi mọc nơi cố thổ,

³⁶Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

³⁶Song có người đi qua, kìa, hắn chẳng còn nữa; Tôi tìm hắn, nhưng không gặp.

³⁷Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

³⁷Hãy chăm chú người trọn vẹn, và nhìn xem người ngay thẳng; Vì cuối cùng người hòa bình có phước.

³⁸But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

³⁸Còn các kẻ vi phạm sẽ cùng nhau bị hủy hoại; Sự tương lai kẻ ác sẽ bị diệt đi.

³⁹But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

³⁹Nhưng sự cứu rỗi người công bình do Ðức Giê-hô-va mà đến; Ngài là đồn lũy của họ trong thì gian truân.

⁴⁰And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

⁴⁰Ðức Giê-hô-va giúp đỡ và giải cứu họ; Ngài giải họ khỏi kẻ ác và cứu rỗi cho, Bởi vì họ đã nương náu mình nơi Ngài.
