¹O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

¹Hỡi Giê-hô-va, là Ðức Chúa Trời, sự báo thù thuộc về Ngài, Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời, sự báo thù thuộc về Ngài, xin hãy sáng rực rỡ Chúa ra.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

²Hỡi quan xét thế gian, hãy chổi dậy, Báo trả xứng đáng cho kẻ kiêu ngạo.

³LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

³Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, kẻ ác sẽ được thắng cho đến chừng nào?

⁴How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁴Chúng nó buông lời nói cách xấc xược. Những kẻ làm ác đều phô mình.

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

⁵Hãy Ðức Giê-hô-va, chúng nó chà nát dân sự Ngài, Làm khổ sở cho cơ nghiệp Ngài.

⁶They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

⁶Chúng nó giết người góa bụa, kẻ khách, Và làm chết những kẻ mồ côi.

⁷Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

⁷Chúng nó rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ không thấy đâu, Ðức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp chẳng để ý vào.

⁸Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁸Hỡi người u mê trong dân, khá xem xét; Hỡi kẻ ngu dại, bao giờ các ngươi mới khôn ngoan?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

⁹Ðấng đã gắn tai há sẽ chẳng nghe sao? Ðấng đã nắn con mắt há sẽ chẳng thấy ư?

¹⁰He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

¹⁰Ðấng sửa phạt các nước há sẽ chẳng phạt sao? Ấy là Ðấng dạy sự tri thức cho loài người.

¹¹The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹¹Ðức Giê-hô-va biết rằng tư tưởng loài người Chỉ là hư không.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

¹²Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, phước cho người nào Ngài sửa phạt, Và dạy luật pháp Ngài cho,

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹³Ðể ban cho người ấy được an nghỉ trong ngày hoạn nạn, Cho đến khi hầm đã đào xong cho những kẻ ác.

¹⁴For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁴Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va không lìa dân sự Ngài, Cũng chẳng bỏ cơ nghiệp Ngài.

¹⁵But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁵Vì sự đoán xét sẽ trở về công bình, Phàm kẻ nào có lòng ngay thẳng sẽ theo.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁶Ai sẽ vì tôi dấy lên nghịch kẻ dữ? Ai sẽ đứng binh vực tôi đối cùng kẻ làm ác?

¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁷Nếu Ðức Giê-hô-va không giúp đỡ tôi, Ít nữa linh hồn tôi đã ở nơi nín lặng.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

¹⁸Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, khi tôi nói: Chơn tôi trợt, Thì sự nhơn từ Ngài nâng đỡ tôi.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

¹⁹Khi tư tưởng bộn bề trong lòng tôi, Thì sự an ủi Ngài làm vui vẻ linh hồn tôi.

²⁰Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

²⁰Ngôi kẻ ác nhờ luật pháp toan sự thiệt hại, Há sẽ giao thông với Chúa sao?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

²¹Chúng nó hiệp nhau lại nghịch linh hồn người công bình, Và định tội cho huyết vô tội.

²²But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

²²Nhưng Ðức Giê-hô-va là nơi ẩn náu cao của tôi; Ðức Chúa Trời tôi là hòn đá, tức nơi tôi nương náu mình.

²³And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

²³Ngài làm cho sự gian ác chúng nó đổ lại trên chúng nó, Và diệt chúng nó trong sự hung dữ chúng nó; Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi sẽ diệt chúng nó.
