¹And Huram king of Tyre sendeth messengers unto David, and cedar-wood, and artificers of walls, and artificers of wood, to build to him a house.

¹ Anfonodd Hiram brenin Tyrus negeswyr at Ddafydd, a hefyd goed cedrwydd, seiri maen a seiri coed i adeiladu tu375? iddo.

²And David knoweth that Jehovah hath established him for king over Israel, because of the lifting up on high of his kingdom, for the sake of His people Israel.

² Sylweddolodd Dafydd fod yr ARGLWYDD wedi ei gadarnhau yn frenin ar Israel, a bod ei frenhiniaeth wedi ei dyrchafu'n uchel er mwyn ei bobl Israel.

³And David taketh again wives in Jerusalem, and David begetteth again sons and daughters;

³ Cymerodd Dafydd ychwaneg o wragedd yn Jerwsalem a chenhedlu rhagor o feibion a merched.

⁴and these [are] the names of the children whom he hath in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

⁴ Dyma enwau'r plant a gafodd yn Jerwsalem: Sammua, Sobab, Nathan, Solomon,

⁵and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,

⁵ Ibhar, Elisua, Elpalet,

⁶and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

⁶ Noga, Neffeg, Jaffia,

⁷and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.

⁷ Elisama, Beeliada ac Eliffelet.

⁸And the Philistines hear that David hath been anointed for king over all Israel, and all the Philistines go up to seek David, and David heareth, and goeth out before them.

⁸ Pan glywodd y Philistiaid fod Dafydd wedi ei eneinio'n frenin ar Israel gyfan, aethant oll i chwilio amdano, ond clywodd ef am hyn ac aeth allan i'w herbyn.

⁹And the Philistines have come, and rush into the valley of Rephaim,

⁹ Wedi i'r Philistiaid ddod ac ymledu dros ddyffryn Reffaim,

¹⁰and David asketh of God, saying, `Do I go up against the Philistines — and hast Thou given them into my hand?` And Jehovah saith to him, `Go up, and I have given them into thy hand.`

¹⁰ gofynnodd Dafydd i Dduw, "A af i fyny yn erbyn y Philistiaid? A roi di hwy yn fy llaw?" Atebodd yr ARGLWYDD, "Dos i fyny, oherwydd yn sicr fe rof y Philistiaid yn dy law."

¹¹And they go up into Baal-Perazim, and David smiteth them there, and David saith, `God hath broken up mine enemies by my hand, like the breaking up of waters;` therefore they have called the name of that place Baal-Perazim.

¹¹ Felly pan aethant i fyny i Baal-perasim, fe drawodd Dafydd hwy yno, a dweud, "Fel toriad dyfroedd, fe dorrodd Duw drwy fy ngelynion �'m llaw i." Dyma pam y galwyd y lle hwnnw, Baal-perasim.

¹²And they leave there their gods, and David speaketh, and they are burnt with fire.

¹² A phan adawsant eu duwiau ar �l yno, gorchmynnodd Dafydd eu llosgi � th�n.

¹³And the Philistines add again, and rush into the valley,

¹³ Unwaith eto ymledodd y Philistiaid dros y dyffryn.

¹⁴and David asketh again of God, and God saith to him, `Do not go up after them, turn round from them, and thou hast come to them from over-against the mulberries;

¹⁴ Pan ymofynnodd Dafydd � Duw drachefn, dywedodd Duw wrtho, "Paid � mynd i fyny ar eu h�l; dos ar gylch oddi wrthynt, a thyrd arnynt gyferbyn �'r morwydd.

¹⁵and it cometh to pass, when thou hearest the sound of the stepping at the heads of the mulberries, then thou goest out into battle, for God hath gone out before thee to smite the camp of the Philistines.`

¹⁵ Yna pan glywi su373?n cerdded ym mrig y morwydd, dos allan i ryfel, oherwydd bydd Duw yn mynd allan o'th flaen i daro gwersyll y Philistiaid."

¹⁶And David doth as God commanded him, and they smite the camp of the Philistines from Gibeon even unto Gazer;

¹⁶ A gwnaeth Dafydd fel y gorchmynnodd Duw iddo, ac fe drawsant wersyll y Philistiaid o Gibeon hyd Geser.

¹⁷and the name of David goeth out into all the lands, and Jehovah hath put his fear on all the nations.

¹⁷ Ac aeth enw Dafydd drwy'r gwledydd i gyd, a gwnaeth yr ARGLWYDD i'r holl genhedloedd ei ofni.
