3

1After these things hath the king Ahasuerus exalted Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and lifteth him up, and setteth his throne above all the heads who [are] with him,
1 Ar l hyn dyrchafodd y Brenin Ahasferus Haman fab Hammedatha yr Agagiad, a rhoi iddo le blaenllaw, gan ei osod yn uwch na'r holl dywysogion oedd gydag ef.
2and all servants of the king, who [are] in the gate of the king, are bowing and doing obeisance to Haman, for so hath the king commanded for him; and Mordecai doth not bow nor do obeisance.
2 Ac yr oedd pob un o'r gweision ym mhorth llys y brenin yn ymgrymu ac yn ymostwng iddo, yn l gorchymyn y brenin. Ond nid oedd Mordecai yn ymostwng nac yn ymgrymu iddo.
3And the servants of the king, who [are] in the gate of the king, say to Mordecai, `Wherefore [art] thou transgressing the command of the king?`
3 Dywedodd gweision y brenin a oedd yn y porth wrth Mordecai. "Pam yr wyt yn torri gorchymyn y brenin?"
4And it cometh to pass, in their speaking unto him, day by day, and he hath not hearkened unto them, that they declare [it] to Haman, to see whether the words of Mordecai do stand, for he hath declared to them that he [is] a Jew.
4 Ond er eu bod yn gofyn hyn iddo'n feunyddiol, ni wrandawai arnynt. Felly dywedasant wrth Haman, er mwyn gweld a fyddai Mordecai'n dal ei dir, oherwydd yr oedd wedi dweud wrthynt ei fod yn Iddew.
5And Haman seeth that Mordecai is not bowing and doing obeisance to him, and Haman is full of fury,
5 Pan welodd Haman nad oedd Mordecai am ymostwng nac ymgrymu iddo, gwylltiodd yn enbyd.
6and it is contemptible in his eyes to put forth a hand on Mordecai by himself, for they have declared to him the people of Mordecai, and Haman seeketh to destroy all the Jews who [are] in all the kingdom of Ahasuerus — the people of Mordecai.
6 Wedi clywed i ba genedl yr oedd Mordecai yn perthyn, nid oedd yn fodlon ymosod ar Mordecai yn unig, ond yr oedd yn awyddus i ddifa cenedl Mordecai, sef yr holl Iddewon yn nheyrnas Ahasferus.
7In the first month — it [is] the month of Nisan — in the twelfth year of the king Ahasuerus, hath one caused to fall Pur (that [is] the lot) before Haman, from day to day, and from month to month, [to] the twelfth, it [is] the month of Adar.
7 Yn neuddegfed flwyddyn y Brenin Ahasferus, yn y mis cyntaf, sef Nisan, bwriasant Pwr (hynny yw, coelbren) o flaen Haman i ddewis dydd a mis, ac fe syrthiodd y coelbren ar y trydydd dydd ar ddeg o'r deuddegfed mis, sef Adar.
8And Haman saith to the king Ahasuerus, `There is one people scattered and separated among the peoples, in all provinces of thy kingdom, and their laws [are] diverse from all people, and the laws of the king they are not doing, and for the king it is not profitable to suffer them;
8 Dywedodd Haman wrth y Brenin Ahasferus, "Y mae yna genedl, wedi ei chwalu a'i gwasgaru ymhlith y bobloedd yn holl daleithiau dy deyrnas, sy'n ei chadw ei hun ar wahn. Y mae eu cyfreithiau'n wahanol i rai pawb arall, ac nid ydynt yn cadw cyfreithiau'r brenin; nid yw er lles y brenin eu goddef.
9if to the king [it be] good, let it be written to destroy them, and ten thousand talents of silver I weigh into the hands of those doing the work, to bring [it] in unto the treasuries of the king.`
9 Os cydsynia'r brenin i orchymyn eu difa, yna fe dalaf fi ddeng mil o dalentau arian i'r trysordy brenhinol ar gyfer y rhai sy'n gwneud hyn."
10And the king turneth aside his signet from off his hand, and giveth it to Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, adversary of the Jews;
10 Yna tynnodd y brenin ei fodrwy oddi ar ei law a'i rhoi i Haman fab Hammedatha yr Agagiad, gelyn yr Iddewon,
11and the king saith to Haman, `The silver is given to thee, and the people, to do with it as [it is] good in thine eyes.`
11 a dweud wrtho, "Cadw'r arian, a gwna fel y mynni 'r bobl."
12And scribes of the king are called, on the first month, on the thirteenth day of it, and it is written according to all that Haman hath commanded, unto lieutenants of the king, and unto the governors who [are] over province and province, and unto the heads of people and people, province and province, according to its writing, and people and people according to its tongue, in the name of the king Ahasuerus it hath been written and sealed with the signet of the king,
12 Yna ar y trydydd dydd ar ddeg o'r mis cyntaf, galwyd ar ysgrifenyddion y brenin, ac ar orchymyn Haman ysgrifennwyd at bendefigion y brenin, rheolwyr pob talaith a thywysogion pob cenedl, i bob talaith yn ei hysgrifen ei hun a phob cenedl yn ei hiaith ei hun. Yr oedd y wu375?s wedi ei hysgrifennu yn enw'r Brenin Ahasferus ac wedi ei selio 'r fodrwy frenhinol.
13and letters to be sent by the hand of the runners unto all provinces of the king, to cut off, to slay, and to destroy all the Jews, from young even unto old, infant and women, on one day, on the thirteenth of the twelfth month — it [is] the month of Adar — and their spoil to seize,
13 Yna anfonwyd negeswyr gyda llythyrau i holl daleithiau'r brenin yn gorchymyn dinistrio, lladd a difa pob Iddew, yn llanc a hynafgwr, plant a gwragedd, ac ysbeilio'u heiddo, ar yr un diwrnod, sef y trydydd dydd ar ddeg o'r deuddegfed mis, hynny yw, Adar.
14a copy of the writing to be made law in every province and province is revealed to all the peoples, to be ready for this day.
14 Yr oedd copi o'r wu375?s i'w anfon yn gyfraith i bob talaith, a'i ddangos i'r holl bobl er mwyn iddynt fod yn barod erbyn y diwrnod hwnnw.
15The runners have gone forth, hastened by the word of the king, and the law hath been given in Shushan the palace, and the king and Haman have sat down to drink, and the city Shushan is perplexed.
15 Aeth y negeswyr allan ar frys yn l gorchymyn y brenin, a chyhoeddwyd y gorchymyn yn Susan y brifddinas. Yna eisteddodd y brenin a Haman i yfed; ond yr oedd dinas Susan yn drist.
