1And before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour hath come, that he may remove out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own who [are] in the world — to the end he loved them.
1 Ar drothwy gu373?yl y Pasg, yr oedd Iesu'n gwybod fod ei awr wedi dod, iddo ymadael 'r byd hwn a mynd at y Tad. Yr oedd wedi caru'r rhai oedd yn eiddo iddo yn y byd, ac fe'u carodd hyd yr eithaf.
2And supper being come, the devil already having put [it] into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver him up,
2 Yn ystod swper, pan oedd y diafol eisoes wedi gosod yng nghalon Jwdas fab Simon Iscariot y bwriad i'w fradychu ef,
3Jesus knowing that all things the Father hath given to him — into [his] hands, and that from God he came forth, and unto God he goeth,
3 dyma Iesu, ac yntau'n gwybod bod y Tad wedi rhoi pob peth yn ei ddwylo ef, a'i fod wedi dod oddi wrth Dduw a'i fod yn mynd at Dduw,
4doth rise from the supper, and doth lay down his garments, and having taken a towel, he girded himself;
4 yn codi o'r swper ac yn rhoi ei wisg o'r neilltu, yn cymryd tywel ac yn ei glymu am ei ganol.
5afterward he putteth water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which he was being girded.
5 Yna tywalltodd ddu373?r i'r badell, a dechreuodd olchi traed y disgyblion, a'u sychu 'r tywel oedd am ei ganol.
6He cometh, therefore, unto Simon Peter, and that one saith to him, `Sir, thou — dost thou wash my feet?`
6 Daeth at Simon Pedr yn ei dro, ac meddai ef wrtho, "Arglwydd, a wyt ti am olchi fy nhraed i?"
7Jesus answered and said to him, `That which I do thou hast not known now, but thou shalt know after these things;`
7 Atebodd Iesu ef: "Ni wyddost ti ar hyn o bryd beth yr wyf fi am ei wneud, ond fe ddoi i wybod ar l hyn."
8Peter saith to him, `Thou mayest not wash my feet — to the age.` Jesus answered him, `If I may not wash thee, thou hast no part with me;`
8 Meddai Pedr wrtho, "Ni chei di olchi fy nhraed i byth." Atebodd Iesu ef, "Os na chaf dy olchi di, nid oes lle iti gyda mi."
9Simon Peter saith to him, `Sir, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.`
9 "Arglwydd," meddai Simon Pedr wrtho, "nid fy nhraed yn unig, ond golch fy nwylo a'm pen hefyd."
10Jesus saith to him, `He who hath been bathed hath no need save to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and ye are clean, but not all;`
10 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Y mae'r sawl sydd wedi ymolchi drosto yn ln i gyd, ac nid oes arno angen golchi dim ond ei draed. Ac yr ydych chwi yn ln, ond nid pawb ohonoch."
11for he knew him who is delivering him up; because of this he said, `Ye are not all clean.`
11 Oherwydd gwyddai pwy oedd am ei fradychu. Dyna pam y dywedodd, "Nid yw pawb ohonoch yn ln."
12When, therefore, he washed their feet, and took his garments, having reclined (at meat) again, he said to them, `Do ye know what I have done to you?
12 Wedi iddo olchi eu traed, ac ymwisgo a chymryd ei le unwaith eto, gofynnodd iddynt, "A ydych yn deall beth yr wyf wedi ei wneud i chwi?
13ye call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and ye say well, for I am;
13 Yr ydych chwi'n fy ngalw i yn 'Athro' ac yn 'Arglwydd', a hynny'n gwbl briodol, oherwydd dyna wyf fi.
14if then I did wash your feet — the Lord and the Teacher — ye also ought to wash one another`s feet.
14 Os wyf fi, felly, a minnau'n Arglwydd ac yn Athro, wedi golchi eich traed chwi, fe ddylech chwithau hefyd olchi traed eich gilydd.
15`For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, ye also may do;
15 Yr wyf wedi rhoi esiampl i chwi; yr ydych chwithau i wneud fel yr wyf fi wedi ei wneud i chwi.
16verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
16 Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, nid yw unrhyw was yn fwy na'i feistr, ac nid yw'r un a anfonir yn fwy na'r un a'i hanfonodd.
17if these things ye have known, happy are ye, if ye may do them;
17 Os gwyddoch y pethau hyn, gwyn eich byd os gweithredwch arnynt.
18not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel.
18 Nid wyf yn siarad amdanoch i gyd. Yr wyf fi'n gwybod pwy a ddewisais. Ond y mae'n rhaid i'r Ysgrythur gael ei chyflawni: 'Y mae'r un sy'n bwyta fy mara i wedi codi ei sawdl yn f'erbyn.'
19`From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he];
19 Yr wyf fi'n dweud wrthych yn awr, cyn i'r peth ddigwydd, er mwyn ichwi gredu, pan ddigwydd, mai myfi yw.
20verily, verily, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, doth receive me; and he who is receiving me, doth receive Him who sent me.`
20 Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, y mae'r sawl sy'n derbyn unrhyw un a anfonaf fi yn fy nerbyn i, ac y mae'r sawl sy'n fy nerbyn i yn derbyn yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i."
21These things having said, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and did testify, and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will deliver me up;`
21 Wedi iddo ddweud hyn, cynhyrfwyd ysbryd Iesu a thystiodd fel hyn: "Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych fod un ohonoch yn mynd i'm bradychu i."
22the disciples were looking, therefore, one at another, doubting concerning whom he speaketh.
22 Dechreuodd y disgyblion edrych ar ei gilydd, yn methu dyfalu am bwy yr oedd yn sn.
23And there was one of his disciples reclining (at meat) in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
23 Yr oedd un o'i ddisgyblion, yr un yr oedd Iesu'n ei garu, yn nesaf ato ef wrth y bwrdd.
24Simon Peter, then, doth beckon to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom he speaketh,
24 A dyma Simon Pedr yn rhoi arwydd i hwn i holi Iesu am bwy yr oedd yn sn.
25and that one having leant back on the breast of Jesus, respondeth to him, `Sir, who is it?`
25 A dyma'r disgybl hwnnw yn pwyso'n l ar fynwes Iesu ac yn gofyn iddo, "Pwy yw ef, Arglwydd?"
26Jesus answereth, `That one it is to whom I, having dipped the morsel, shall give it;` and having dipped the morsel, he giveth [it] to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
26 Atebodd Iesu, "Yr un y gwlychaf y tamaid yma o fara a'i roi iddo, hwnnw yw ef." Yna gwlychodd y tamaid a'i roi i Jwdas fab Simon Iscariot.
27And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into that one, Jesus, therefore, saith to him, `What thou dost — do quickly;`
27 Ac yn dilyn ar hyn, aeth Satan i mewn i hwnnw. Meddai Iesu wrtho, "Yr hyn yr wyt yn ei wneud, brysia i'w gyflawni."
28and none of those reclining at meat knew for what intent he said this to him,
28 Nid oedd neb o'r cwmni wrth y bwrdd yn deall pam y dywedodd hynny wrtho.
29for certain were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus saith to him, `Buy what we have need of for the feast;` or that he may give something to the poor;
29 Gan mai yng ngofal Jwdas yr oedd y god arian, tybiodd rhai fod Iesu wedi dweud wrtho, "Pryn y pethau y mae arnom eu heisiau at yr u373?yl", neu am roi rhodd i'r tlodion.
30having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
30 Yn union wedi cymryd y tamaid bara aeth Jwdas allan. Yr oedd hi'n nos.
31When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus saith, `Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in him;
31 Ar l i Jwdas fynd allan dywedodd Iesu, "Yn awr y mae Mab y Dyn wedi ei ogoneddu, a Duw wedi ei ogoneddu ynddo ef.
32if God was glorified in him, God also will glorify him in Himself; yea, immediately He will glorify him.
32 Ac os yw Duw wedi ei ogoneddu ynddo ef, bydd Duw yntau yn ei ogoneddu ef ynddo'i hun, ac yn ei ogoneddu ar unwaith.
33`Little children, yet a little am I with you; ye will seek me, and, according as I said to the Jews — Whither I go away, ye are not able to come, to you also I do say [it] now.
33 Fy mhlant, am ychydig amser eto y byddaf gyda chwi; fe chwiliwch amdanaf, a'r hyn a ddywedais wrth yr Iddewon, yr wyf yn awr yn ei ddweud wrthych chwi hefyd, 'Ni allwch chwi ddod lle'r wyf fi'n mynd.'
34`A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another;
34 Yr wyf yn rhoi i chwi orchymyn newydd: carwch eich gilydd. Fel y cerais i chwi, felly yr ydych chwithau i garu'ch gilydd.
35in this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye may have love one to another.`
35 Os bydd gennych gariad tuag at eich gilydd, wrth hynny bydd pawb yn gwybod mai disgyblion i mi ydych."
36Simon Peter saith to him, `Sir, whither dost thou go away?` Jesus answered him, `Whither I go away, thou art not able now to follow me, but afterward thou shalt follow me.`
36 Meddai Simon Pedr wrtho, "Arglwydd, i ble'r wyt ti'n mynd?" Atebodd Iesu ef, "Lle'r wyf fi'n mynd, ni elli di ar hyn o bryd fy nghanlyn, ond fe fyddi'n fy nghanlyn maes o law."
37Peter saith to him, `Sir, wherefore am I not able to follow thee now? my life for thee I will lay down;`
37 "Arglwydd," gofynnodd Pedr iddo, "pam na allaf dy ganlyn yn awr? Fe roddaf fy einioes drosot."
38Jesus answered him, `Thy life for me thou wilt lay down! verily, verily, I say to thee, a cock will not crow till thou mayest deny me thrice.`
38 Atebodd Iesu, "A roddi dy einioes drosof? Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthyt, ni chn y ceiliog cyn iti fy ngwadu i dair gwaith.
