Luke

5

1And it came to pass, in the multitude pressing on him to hear the word of God, that he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret,
1 Unwaith pan oedd y dyrfa'n gwasgu ato ac yn gwrando ar air Duw, ac ef ei hun yn sefyll ar lan Llyn Genesaret,
2and he saw two boats standing beside the lake, and the fishers, having gone away from them, were washing the nets,
2 gwelodd ddau gwch yn sefyll wrth y lan. Yr oedd y pysgotwyr wedi dod allan ohonynt, ac yr oeddent yn golchi eu rhwydau.
3and having entered into one of the boats, that was Simon`s, he asked him to put back a little from the land, and having sat down, was teaching the multitudes out of the boat.
3 Aeth ef i mewn i un o'r cychod, eiddo Simon, a gofyn iddo wthio allan ychydig o'r tir; yna eisteddodd, a dechrau dysgu'r tyrfaoedd o'r cwch.
4And when he left off speaking, he said unto Simon, `Put back to the deep, and let down your nets for a draught;`
4 Pan orffennodd lefaru dywedodd wrth Simon, "Dos allan i'r du373?r dwfn, a gollyngwch eich rhwydau am ddalfa."
5and Simon answering said to him, `Master, through the whole night, having laboured, we have taken nothing, but at thy saying I will let down the net.`
5 Atebodd Simon, "Meistr, drwy gydol y nos buom yn llafurio heb ddal dim, ond ar dy air di mi ollyngaf y rhwydau."
6And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes, and their net was breaking,
6 Gwnaethant hyn, a daliasant nifer enfawr o bysgod, nes bod eu rhwydau bron rhwygo.
7and they beckoned to the partners, who [are] in the other boat, having come, to help them; and they came, and filled both the boats, so that they were sinking.
7 Amneidiasant ar eu partneriaid yn y cwch arall i ddod i'w cynorthwyo. Daethant hwy, a llwythasant y ddau gwch nes eu bod ar suddo.
8And Simon Peter having seen, fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying, `Depart from me, because I am a sinful man, O lord;`
8 Pan welodd Simon Pedr hyn syrthiodd wrth liniau Iesu gan ddweud, "Dos ymaith oddi wrthyf, oherwydd dyn pechadurus wyf fi, Arglwydd."
9for astonishment seized him, and all those with him, at the draught of the fishes that they took,
9 Yr oedd ef, a phawb oedd gydag ef, wedi eu syfrdanu o weld y llwyth pysgod yr oeddent wedi eu dal;
10and in like manner also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon; and Jesus said unto Simon, `Fear not, henceforth thou shalt be catching men;`
10 a'r un modd Iago ac Ioan, meibion Sebedeus, a oedd yn bartneriaid i Simon. Ac meddai Iesu wrth Simon, "Paid ag ofni; o hyn allan dal dynion y byddi di."
11and they, having brought the boats upon the land, having left all, did follow him.
11 Yna daethant 'r cychod yn l i'r lan, a gadael popeth, a'i ganlyn ef.
12And it came to pass, in his being in one of the cities, that lo, a man full of leprosy, and having seen Jesus, having fallen on [his] face, he besought him, saying, `Sir, if thou mayest will, thou art able to cleanse me;`
12 Pan oedd Iesu yn un o'r trefi, dyma ddyn yn llawn o'r gwahanglwyf yn ei weld ac yn syrthio ar ei wyneb ac yn ymbil arno, "Syr, os mynni, gelli fy nglanhau."
13and having stretched forth [his] hand, he touched him, having said, `I will; be thou cleansed;` and immediately the leprosy went away from him.
13 Estynnodd Iesu ei law a chyffwrdd ag ef gan ddweud, "Yr wyf yn mynnu, glanhaer di." Ac ymadawodd y gwahanglwyf ag ef ar unwaith.
14And he charged him to tell no one, `But, having gone away, shew thyself to the priest, and bring near for thy cleansing according as Moses directed, for a testimony to them;`
14 Gorchmynnodd Iesu iddo beidio dweud wrth neb: "Dos ymaith," meddai, "a dangos dy hun i'r offeiriad, ac offryma dros dy lanhad fel y gorchmynnodd Moses, yn dystiolaeth gyhoeddus."
15but the more was the report going abroad concerning him, and great multitudes were coming together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities,
15 Ond yr oedd y sn amdano yn ymledu fwyfwy, ac yr oedd tyrfaoedd lawer yn ymgynnull i wrando ac i gael eu hiachu oddi wrth eu clefydau.
16and he was withdrawing himself in the desert places and was praying.
16 Ond byddai ef yn encilio i'r mannau unig ac yn gweddo.
17And it came to pass, on one of the days, that he was teaching, and there were sitting by Pharisees and teachers of the Law, who were come out of every village of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was — to heal them.
17 Un diwrnod yr oedd ef yn dysgu, ac yn eistedd yno yr oedd Phariseaid ac athrawon y Gyfraith oedd wedi dod o bob pentref yng Ngalilea ac o Jwdea ac o Jerwsalem; ac yr oedd nerth yr Arglwydd gydag ef i iachu.
18And lo, men bearing upon a couch a man, who hath been struck with palsy, and they were seeking to bring him in, and to place before him,
18 A dyma wu375?r yn cario ar wely ddyn wedi ei barlysu; ceisio yr oeddent ddod ag ef i mewn a'i osod o flaen Iesu.
19and not having found by what way they may bring him in because of the multitude, having gone up on the house-top, through the tiles they let him down, with the little couch, into the midst before Jesus,
19 Wedi methu cael ffordd i ddod ag ef i mewn oherwydd y dyrfa, dringasant ar y to a'i ollwng drwy'r priddlechi, ynghyd 'i wely, i'r canol o flaen Iesu.
20and he having seen their faith, said to him, `Man, thy sins have been forgiven thee.`
20 Wrth weld eu ffydd hwy dywedodd ef, "Ddyn, y mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau iti."
21And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, `Who is this that doth speak evil words? who is able to forgive sins, except God only?`
21 A dechreuodd yr ysgrifenyddion a'r Phariseaid feddwl, "Pwy yw hwn sy'n llefaru cabledd? Pwy ond Duw yn unig a all faddau pechodau?"
22And Jesus having known their reasonings, answering, said unto them, `What reason ye in your hearts?
22 Ond synhwyrodd Iesu eu meddyliau, ac meddai wrthynt, "Pam yr ydych yn meddwl fel hyn ynoch eich hunain?
23which is easier — to say, Thy sins have been forgiven thee? or to say, Arise, and walk?
23 Prun sydd hawsaf, ai dweud, 'Y mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau iti', ai ynteu dweud, 'Cod a cherdda'?
24`And that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority upon the earth to forgive sins — (he said to the one struck with palsy) — I say to thee, Arise, and having taken up thy little couch, be going on to thy house.`
24 Ond er mwyn i chwi wybod fod gan Fab y Dyn awdurdod ar y ddaear i faddau pechodau" meddai wrth y claf, "Dyma fi'n dweud wrthyt, cod a chymer dy wely a dos adref."
25And presently having risen before them, having taken up [that] on which he was lying, he went away to his house, glorifying God,
25 Ac ar unwaith cododd yntau yn eu gu373?ydd, cymryd y gwely y bu'n gorwedd arno, a mynd adref gan ogoneddu Duw.
26and astonishment took all, and they were glorifying God, and were filled with fear, saying — `We saw strange things to-day.`
26 Daeth syndod dros bawb a dechreusant ogoneddu Duw; llanwyd hwy ag ofn, ac meddent, "Yr ydym wedi gweld pethau anhygoel heddiw."
27And after these things he went forth, and beheld a tax-gatherer, by name Levi, sitting at the tax-office, and said to him, `Be following me;`
27 Wedi hyn aeth allan ac edrychodd ar gasglwr trethi o'r enw Lefi, a oedd yn eistedd wrth y dollfa, ac meddai wrtho, "Canlyn fi."
28and he, having left all, having arisen, did follow him.
28 A chan adael popeth cododd yntau a'i ganlyn.
29And Levi made a great entertainment to him in his house, and there was a great multitude of tax-gatherers and others who were with them reclining (at meat),
29 Yna gwnaeth Lefi wledd fawr iddo yn ei du375?; ac yr oedd tyrfa niferus o gasglwyr trethi ac eraill yn cydfwyta gyda hwy.
30and the scribes and the Pharisees among them were murmuring at his disciples, saying, `Wherefore with tax-gatherers and sinners do ye eat and drink?`
30 Yr oedd y Phariseaid a'u hysgrifenyddion yn grwgnach wrth ei ddisgyblion gan ddweud, "Pam yr ydych yn bwyta ac yn yfed gyda chasglwyr trethi a phechaduriaid?"
31And Jesus answering said unto them, `They who are well have no need of a physician, but they that are ill:
31 Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Nid ar rai iach, ond ar y cleifion y mae angen meddyg;
32I came not to call righteous men, but sinners, to reformation.`
32 i alw pechaduriaid i edifeirwch, nid rhai cyfiawn, yr wyf fi wedi dod."
33And they said unto him, `Wherefore do the disciples of John fast often, and make supplications — in like manner also those of the Pharisees — but thine do eat and drink?`
33 Ond meddent hwythau wrtho, "Y mae disgyblion Ioan yn ymprydio yn aml ac yn adrodd eu gweddau, a rhai'r Phariseaid yr un modd, ond bwyta ac yfed y mae dy ddisgyblion di."
34And he said unto them, `Are ye able to make the sons of the bride-chamber — in the bridegroom being with them — to fast?
34 Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "A allwch wneud i westeion priodas ymprydio tra bydd y priodfab gyda hwy?
35but days will come, and, when the bridegroom may be taken away from them, then they shall fast in those days.`
35 Ond fe ddaw dyddiau pan ddygir y priodfab oddi wrthynt; yna fe ymprydiant yn y dyddiau hynny."
36And he spake also a simile unto them — `No one a patch of new clothing doth put on old clothing, and if otherwise, the new also doth make a rent, and with the old the patch doth not agree, that [is] from the new.
36 Adroddodd hefyd ddameg wrthynt: "Ni fydd neb yn rhwygo clwt allan o ddilledyn newydd a'i roi ar hen ddilledyn; os gwna, nid yn unig fe fydd yn rhwygo'r newydd, ond ni fydd y clwt o'r newydd yn gweddu i'r hen.
37`And no one doth put new wine into old skins, and if otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and itself will be poured out, and the skins will be destroyed;
37 Ac ni fydd neb yn tywallt gwin newydd i hen grwyn; os gwna, bydd y gwin newydd yn rhwygo'r crwyn, a heblaw colli'r gwin fe ddifethir y crwyn.
38but new wine into new skins is to be put, and both are preserved together;
38 I grwyn newydd y mae tywallt gwin newydd.
39and no one having drunk old [wine], doth immediately wish new, for he saith, The old is better.`
39 Ac ni fydd neb sydd wedi yfed hen win yn dymuno gwin newydd; oherwydd y mae'n dweud, 'Yr hen sydd dda.'"
