1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,
1 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses yng ngwastadedd Moab, gyferbyn � Jericho ger yr Iorddonen,
2`Command the sons of Israel, and they have given to the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to inhabit; also a suburb for the cities round about them ye do give to the Levites.
2 "Gorchymyn i bobl Israel roi o'r etifeddiaeth a g�nt ddinasoedd i'r Lefiaid i fyw ynddynt, a phorfeydd o amgylch y dinasoedd.
3And the cities have been to them to inhabit, and their suburbs are for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.
3 Caiff y Lefiaid fyw yn y dinasoedd, a bydd y porfeydd ar gyfer eu gwartheg, eu praidd, a'u holl anifeiliaid.
4`And the suburbs of the cities which ye give to the Levites [are], from the wall of the city and without, a thousand cubits round about.
4 Bydd porfeydd y dinasoedd a roddwch i'r Lefiaid yn ymestyn o fur y ddinas tuag allan am fil o gufyddau oddi amgylch.
5And ye have measured from the outside of the city, the east quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the south quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the west quarter, two thousand by the cubit, and the north quarter, two thousand by the cubit; and the city [is] in the midst; this is to them the suburbs of the cities.
5 Yr ydych i fesur, o'r tu allan i'r ddinas, ddwy fil o gufyddau ar yr ochr ddwyreiniol, dwy fil ar yr ochr ddeheuol, dwy fil ar yr ochr orllewinol, a dwy fil ar yr ochr ogleddol, a'r ddinas yn y canol; dyma borfeydd y dinasoedd fydd yn eiddo iddynt.
6`And the cities which ye give to the Levites [are] the six cities of refuge, which ye give for the fleeing thither of the man-slayer, and besides them ye give forty and two cities;
6 "O'r dinasoedd a rowch i'r Lefiaid, bydd chwech yn ddinasoedd noddfa, lle caiff y lleiddiaid ffoi; yn ychwanegol at y rhain, rhowch iddynt bedwar deg a dwy o ddinasoedd.
7all the cities which ye give to the Levites [are] forty and eight cities, them and their suburbs.
7 Felly byddwch yn rhoi i'r Lefiaid bedwar deg ac wyth o ddinasoedd i gyd, gyda'u porfeydd.
8And the cities which ye give [are] of the possession of the sons of Israel, from the many ye multiply, and from the few ye diminish; each, according to his inheritance which they inherit, doth give of his cities to the Levites.`
8 o'r dinasoedd sy'n feddiant i bobl Israel cymerwch lawer oddi wrth y llwythau mawr, ond llai oddi wrth y llwythau bychain; y mae pob llwyth i roi dinasoedd i'r Lefiaid yn �l maint yr etifeddiaeth a gafodd."
9And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
9 Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses,
10`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are passing over the Jordan to the land of Canaan,
10 "Dywed wrth bobl Israel, 'Pan fyddwch wedi mynd dros yr Iorddonen i mewn i wlad Canaan,
11and have prepared to yourselves cities — cities of refuge they are to you — then fled thither hath a man-slayer, smiting a person unawares,
11 yr ydych i neilltuo i chwi eich hunain ddinasoedd i fod yn ddinasoedd noddfa, er mwyn i'r lleiddiad, a laddodd rywun yn anfwriadol, gael ffoi iddynt.
12and the cities have been to you for a refuge from the redeemer, and the man-slayer doth not die till his standing before the company for judgment.
12 Bydd y dinasoedd yn noddfa rhag y dialydd, fel na chaiff y lleiddiad ei ladd cyn iddo sefyll ei brawf o flaen y cynulliad.
13`As to the cities which ye give — six [are] cities of refuge to you;
13 o'r chwe dinas a nodwch yn ddinasoedd noddfa,
14the three of the cities ye give beyond the Jordan, and the three of the cities ye give in the land of Canaan; cities of refuge they are.
14 bydd tair yr ochr yma i'r Iorddonen, a thair yng ngwlad Canaan.
15To sons of Israel, and to a sojourner, and to a settler in their midst, are these six cities for a refuge, for the fleeing thither of any one smiting a person unawares.
15 Bydd y chwe dinas hyn yn noddfa i bobl Israel, ac i'r dieithryn a'r ymwelydd yn eu plith, a chaiff pwy bynnag a laddodd rywun yn anfwriadol ffoi iddynt.
16`And if with an instrument of iron he hath smitten him, and he dieth, he [is] a murderer: the murderer is certainly put to death.
16 "'Os bydd rhywun yn taro rhywun arall ag offeryn haearn, ac yntau'n marw, y mae'n llofrudd; rhodder y llofrudd i farwolaeth.
17`And if with a stone [in] the hand, wherewith he dieth, he hath smitten him, and he dieth, he [is] a murderer: the murderer is certainly put to death.
17 Os bydd yn ei daro � charreg yn ei law, a'r garreg yn debyg o ladd, ac yntau'n marw, y mae'n llofrudd; rhodder y llofrudd i farwolaeth.
18`Or with a wooden instrument [in] the hand, wherewith he dieth, he hath smitten him, and he dieth, he [is] a murderer: the murderer is certainly put to death.
18 Os bydd yn ei daro ag arf pren yn ei law, a'r arf yn debyg o ladd, ac yntau'n marw, y mae'n llofrudd; rhodder y llofrudd i farwolaeth.
19`The redeemer of blood himself doth put the murderer to death; in his coming against him he doth put him to death.
19 Caiff y sawl sy'n dial gwaed roi'r llofrudd i farwolaeth pan ddaw o hyd iddo.
20`And if in hatred he thrust him through, or hath cast [anything] at him by lying in wait, and he dieth;
20 Os bydd rhywun yn gwanu rhywun arall mewn casineb, neu'n ymosod arno'n fwriadol, ac yntau'n marw;
21or in enmity he hath smitten him with his hand, and he dieth; the smiter is certainly put to death; he [is] a murderer; the redeemer of blood doth put the murderer to death in his coming against him.
21 neu ynteu'n taro rhywun �'i law mewn atgasedd, ac yntau'n marw, yna rhodder y sawl a'i trawodd i farwolaeth; y mae'n llofrudd, a chaiff y sawl sy'n dial gwaed ei roi i farwolaeth pan ddaw o hyd iddo.
22`And if, in an instant, without enmity, he hath thrust him through, or hath cast at him any instrument, without lying in wait;
22 "'Os bydd rhywun yn gwanu rhywun arall yn sydyn, a heb atgasedd, neu os bydd yn taflu rhywbeth ato'n anfwriadol,
23or with any stone wherewith he dieth, without seeing, and causeth [it] to fall upon him, and he dieth, and he [is] not his enemy, nor seeking his evil;
23 neu ynteu heb edrych yn ei daro � charreg a fyddai'n debyg o'i ladd, ac yntau'n marw, yna, gan na fu gelyniaeth rhyngddynt a chan na fwriadodd ei niweidio,
24then have the company judged between the smiter and the redeemer of blood, by these judgments.
24 y mae'r cynulliad i farnu rhwng yr ymosodwr a'r dialydd gwaed, yn �l y deddfau hyn;
25`And the company have delivered the man-slayer out of the hand of the redeemer of blood, and the company have caused him to turn back unto the city of his refuge, whither he hath fled, and he hath dwelt in it till the death of the chief priest, who hath been anointed with the holy oil.
25 a bydd y cynulliad yn arbed y lleiddiad rhag y dialydd gwaed ac yn ei roi'n �l yn y ddinas noddfa y ffodd iddi, a chaiff fyw yno nes marw'r archoffeiriad a eneiniwyd �'r olew cysegredig.
26`And if the man-slayer at all go out [from] the border of the city of his refuge whither he fleeth,
26 Ond os �'r lleiddiad rywbryd y tu allan i derfynau'r ddinas noddfa y ffodd iddi,
27and the redeemer of blood hath found him at the outside of the border of the city of his refuge, and the redeemer of blood hath slain the man-slayer, blood is not for him;
27 a'r dialydd gwaed yn ei ganfod a'i ladd, ni fydd yn euog o'i waed.
28for in the city of his refuge he doth dwell till the death of the chief priest; and after the death of the chief priest doth the man-slayer turn back unto the city of his possession.
28 Rhaid i'r lleiddiad aros tu mewn i'w ddinas noddfa nes marw'r archoffeiriad; ond ar �l marw'r archoffeiriad, caiff ddychwelyd i'r tir sy'n feddiant iddo.
29`And these things have been to you for a statute of judgment to your generations, in all your dwellings:
29 "'Bydd hyn yn ddeddf ac yn gyfraith i chwi trwy eich cenedlaethau lle bynnag y byddwch yn byw.
30whoso smiteth a person, by the mouth of witnesses doth [one] slay the murderer; and one witness doth not testify against a person — to die.
30 Os bydd rhywun yn lladd rhywun arall, rhodder ef i farwolaeth ar dystiolaeth tystion; ond na rodder neb i farwolaeth ar dystiolaeth un tyst.
31`And ye take no atonement for the life of a murderer who [is] condemned — to die, for he is certainly put to death;
31 Peidiwch � chymryd arian yn iawn am fywyd llofrudd a gafwyd yn euog o ladd; rhodder ef i farwolaeth.
32and ye take no atonement for him to flee unto the city of his refuge, to turn back to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
32 Peidiwch � chymryd arian yn iawn gan y sawl a ffodd i'w ddinas noddfa, er mwyn iddo gael dychwelyd i fyw i'w dir ei hun cyn marw'r archoffeiriad.
33`And ye profane not the land which ye [are] in, for blood profaneth the land; as to the land, it is not pardoned for blood which is shed in it except by the blood of him who sheddeth it;
33 Peidiwch � halogi'r wlad yr ydych yn byw ynddi; y mae gwaed yn halogi'r wlad, ac ni ellir gwneud iawn am y wlad y tywalltwyd gwaed ynddi ond trwy waed y sawl a'i tywalltodd.
34and ye defile not the land in which ye are dwelling, in the midst of which I do tabernacle, for I Jehovah do tabernacle in the midst of the sons of Israel.`
34 Peidiwch � gwneud y wlad yr ydych yn byw ynddi yn aflan, oherwydd yr wyf fi, yr ARGLWYDD, yn preswylio yn ei chanol ac ymysg pobl Israel.'"
