1And Naomi hath an acquaintance of her husband`s, a man mighty in wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name [is] Boaz.
1 Yr oedd gan Naomi berthynas i'w gu373?r, dyn cefnog o'r enw Boas o dylwyth Elimelech.
2And Ruth the Moabitess saith unto Naomi, `Let me go, I pray thee, into the field, and I gather among the ears of corn after him in whose eyes I find grace;` and she saith to her, `Go, my daughter.`
2 Dywedodd Ruth y Foabes wrth Naomi, "Gad imi fynd i'r caeau u375?d i loffa ar l pwy bynnag fydd yn caniatu imi." Dywedodd Naomi wrthi, "Ie, dos, fy merch."
3And she goeth and cometh and gathereth in a field after the reapers, and her chance happeneth — the portion of the field is Boaz`s who [is] of the family of Elimelech.
3 Felly fe aeth i'r caeau i loffa ar l y medelwyr, a digwyddodd iddi ddewis y rhandir oedd yn perthyn i Boas, y dyn oedd o dylwyth Elimelech.
4And lo, Boaz hath come from Beth-Lehem, and saith to the reapers, `Jehovah [is] with you;` and they say to him, `Jehovah doth bless thee.`
4 A dyna Boas ei hun yn cyrraedd o Fethlehem ac yn cyfarch y medelwyr, "Yr ARGLWYDD fyddo gyda chwi," a hwythau'n ateb, "Bendithied yr ARGLWYDD dithau."
5And Boaz saith to his young man who is set over the reapers, `Whose [is] this young person?`
5 Yna gofynnodd Boas i'w was oedd yn gofalu am y medelwyr, "Geneth pwy yw hon?"
6And the young man who is set over the reapers answereth and saith, `A young woman — Moabitess — she [is], who came back with Naomi from the fields of Moab,
6 Atebodd y gwas, "Geneth o Moab ydyw; hi a ddaeth yn l gyda Naomi o wlad Moab.
7and she saith, Let me glean, I pray thee — and I have gathered among the sheaves after the reapers; and she cometh and remaineth since the morning and till now; she sat in the house a little.
7 Gofynnodd am ganiatd i loffa a hel rhwng yr ysgubau ar l y medelwyr. Fe ddaeth, ac y mae wedi bod ar ei thraed o'r bore bach hyd yn awr, heb orffwys o gwbl."
8And Boaz saith unto Ruth, `Hast thou not heard, my daughter? go not to glean in another field, and also, pass not over from this, and thus thou dost cleave to my young women:
8 Dywedodd Boas wrth Ruth, "Gwrando, fy merch, paid mynd i loffa i faes arall na symud oddi yma, ond glu375?n wrth fy llancesau i.
9thine eyes [are] on the field which they reap, and thou hast gone after them; have not I charged the young men not to touch thee? when thou art athirst then thou hast gone unto the vessels, and hast drunk from that which the young men draw.`
9 Cadw dy lygaid ar y maes y maent yn ei fedi, a dilyn hwy. Onid wyf fi wedi gorchymyn i'r gweision beidio ag ymyrryd thi? Os bydd syched arnat, dos i yfed o'r llestri a lanwodd y gweision."
10And she falleth on her face, and boweth herself to the earth, and saith unto him, `Wherefore have I found grace in thine eyes, to discern me, and I a stranger?`
10 Moesymgrymodd hithau hyd y llawr a dweud wrtho, "Pam yr wyf yn cael y fath garedigrwydd gennyt fel dy fod yn cymryd sylw ohonof fi, a minnau'n estrones?"
11And Boaz answereth and saith to her, `It hath thoroughly been declared to me all that thou hast done with thy mother-in-law, after the death of thy husband, and thou dost leave thy father, and thy mother, and the land of thy birth, and dost come in unto a people which thou hast not known heretofore.
11 Atebodd Boas hi a dweud, "Cefais wybod am y cwbl yr wyt ti wedi ei wneud i'th fam-yng-nghyfraith ar l marw dy u373?r, ac fel y gadewaist dy dad a'th fam a'th wlad enedigol, a dod at bobl nad oeddit yn eu hadnabod o'r blaen.
12Jehovah doth recompense thy work, and thy reward is complete from Jehovah, God of Israel, under whose wings thou hast come to take refuge.`
12 Bydded i'r ARGLWYDD dy wobrwyo am dy weithred, a bydded iti gael dy dalu'n llawn gan yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, y daethost i geisio nodded dan ei adain."
13And she saith, `Let me find grace in thine eyes, my lord, because thou hast comforted me, and because thou hast spoken unto the heart of thy maid-servant, and I — I am not as one of thy maid-servants.`
13 Dywedodd hi, "Yr wyt yn garedig iawn, f'arglwydd, oherwydd yr wyt wedi cysuro a chalonogi dy forwyn, er nad wyf yn un o'th forynion di."
14And Boaz saith to her, `At meal-time come nigh hither, and thou hast eaten of the bread, and dipped thy morsel in the vinegar.` And she sitteth at the side of the reapers, and he reacheth to her roasted corn, and she eateth, and is satisfied, and leaveth.
14 Dywedodd Boas wrthi, adeg bwyd, "Tyrd yma a bwyta o'r bara a gwlychu dy damaid yn y finegr." Wedi iddi eistedd wrth ochr y medelwyr, estynnodd yntau iddi u375?d wedi ei grasu, a bwytaodd ei gwala a gadael gweddill.
15And she riseth to glean, and Boaz chargeth his young men, saying, `Even between the sheaves she doth glean, and ye do not cause her to blush;
15 Yna, pan gododd hi i loffa, gorchmynnodd Boas i'w weision, "Gadewch iddi loffa hyd yn oed ymysg yr ysgubau, a pheidiwch 'i dwrdio;
16and also ye do surely cast to her of the handfuls — and have left, and she hath gleaned, and ye do not push against her.`
16 yr wyf am i chwi hyd yn oed dynnu peth allan o'r dyrneidiau a'i adael iddi i'w loffa; a pheidiwch 'i cheryddu."
17And she gleaneth in the field till the evening, and beateth out that which she hath gleaned, and it is about an ephah of barley;
17 Bu'n lloffa yn y maes hyd yr hwyr, a phan ddyrnodd yr hyn yr oedd wedi ei loffa, cafodd tuag effa o haidd.
18and she taketh [it] up, and goeth into the city, and her mother-in-law seeth that which she hath gleaned, and she bringeth out and giveth to her that which she left from her satiety.
18 Fe'i cymerodd gyda hi i'r dref, a dangos i'w mam-yng-nghyfraith faint yr oedd wedi ei loffa; hefyd fe dynnodd allan y bwyd a gadwodd ar l cael digon, a'i roi iddi.
19And her mother-in-law saith to her, `Where hast thou gleaned to-day? and where hast thou wrought? may he who is discerning thee be blessed.` And she declareth to her mother-in-law with whom she hath wrought, and saith, `The name of the man with whom I have wrought to-day [is] Boaz.`
19 Gofynnodd ei mam-yng-nghyfraith iddi, "Ple buost ti'n lloffa ac yn llafurio heddiw? Bendith ar y sawl a gymerodd sylw ohonot." Eglurodd hithau i'w mam-yng-nghyfraith gyda phwy y bu'n llafurio, a dweud, "Boas oedd enw'r dyn y bm yn llafurio gydag ef heddiw."
20And Naomi saith to her daughter-in-law, `Blessed [is] he of Jehovah who hath not forsaken His kindness with the living and with the dead;` and Naomi saith to her, `The man is a relation of ours; he [is] of our redeemers.`
20 Ac meddai Naomi wrth ei merch-yng-nghyfraith, "Bendith yr ARGLWYDD arno! Nid yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi atal ei drugaredd at y byw na'r meirw." Ac ychwanegodd Naomi, "Y mae'r dyn yn perthyn inni, ac yn un o'n perthnasau agosaf."
21And Ruth the Moabitess saith, `Also he surely said unto me, Near the young people whom I have thou dost cleave till they have completed the whole of the harvest which I have.`
21 Yna dywedodd Ruth y Foabes, "Fe ddywedodd wrthyf hefyd am lynu wrth ei weision ef nes iddynt orffen ei gynhaeaf."
22And Naomi saith unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, `Good, my daughter, that thou goest out with his young women, and they come not against thee in another field.`
22 Ac meddai Naomi wrth ei merch-yng-nghyfraith Ruth, "Y mae'n well iti, fy merch, fynd allan gyda'i lancesau ef, rhag i rywrai ymosod arnat mewn rhyw faes arall."
23And she cleaveth to the young women of Boaz to glean, till the completion of the barley-harvest, and of the wheat-harvest, and she dwelleth with her mother-in-law.
23 A glynodd hithau wrth lancesau Boas i loffa hyd ddiwedd y cynhaeaf haidd a'r cynhaeaf gwenith, ond yr oedd yn byw gyda'i mam-yng-nghyfraith.
