¹And thou -- be speaking what doth become the sound teaching;

¹ Ond yr wyt ti i lefaru'r hyn sy'n gweddu i'r athrawiaeth iach.

²aged men to be temperate, grave, sober, sound in the faith, in the love, in the endurance;

² Dywed wrth yr hynafgwyr am fod yn sobr, yn weddus, yn ddisgybledig, yn iach mewn ffydd a chariad a dyfalbarhad.

³aged women, in like manner, in deportment as doth become sacred persons, not false accusers, to much wine not enslaved, of good things teachers,

³ Ac wrth y gwragedd hynaf yr un modd: am iddynt fod yn ddefosiynol eu hymarweddiad, yn ddiwenwyn, a heb fod yn gaeth i ormodedd o win;

⁴that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of [their] husbands, lovers of [their] children,

⁴ dylent hyfforddi'r gwragedd ifainc yn y pethau gorau, a'u cymell i garu eu gwu375?r a charu eu plant,

⁵sober, pure, keepers of [their own] houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.

⁵ i fod yn ddisgybledig a diwair, i ofalu am eu cartrefi, ac i fod yn garedig, ac yn ddarostyngedig i'w gwu375?r, fel na chaiff gair Duw enw drwg.

⁶The younger men, in like manner, be exhorting to be sober-minded;

⁶ Yn yr un modd, cymell y dynion ifainc i arfer hunanddisgyblaeth.

⁷concerning all things thyself showing a pattern of good works; in the teaching uncorruptedness, gravity, incorruptibility,

⁷ Ym mhob peth dangos dy hun yn esiampl o weithredoedd da, ac wrth hyfforddi amlyga gywirdeb a gwedduster

⁸discourse sound, irreprehensible, that he who is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning you.

⁸ a neges iachusol, a fydd uwchlaw beirniadaeth. Felly codir cywilydd ar dy wrthwynebwr, gan na fydd ganddo ddim drwg i'w ddweud amdanom.

⁹Servants -- to their own masters [are] to be subject, in all things to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying,

⁹ Cymell y caethweision i fod yn ddarostyngedig i'w meistri ym mhob peth, i wneud eu dymuniad, i beidio �'u hateb yn �

¹⁰not purloining, but showing all good stedfastness, that the teaching of God our Saviour they may adorn in all things.

¹⁰ na lladrata oddi arnynt, ond i'w dangos eu hunain yn gwbl ffyddlon a gonest, ac felly yn addurn ym mhob peth i athrawiaeth Duw, ein Gwaredwr.

¹¹For the saving grace of God was manifested to all men,

¹¹ Oherwydd amlygwyd gras Duw i ddwyn gwaredigaeth i bawb,

¹²teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, soberly and righteously and piously we may live in the present age,

¹² gan ein hyfforddi i ymwrthod ag annuwioldeb a chwantau bydol, a byw'n ddisgybledig a chyfiawn a duwiol yn y byd presennol,

¹³waiting for the blessed hope and manifestation of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,

¹³ a disgwyl cyflawni'r gobaith gwyn-fydedig yn ymddangosiad gogoniant ein Duw mawr a'n Gwaredwr, Iesu Grist.

¹⁴who did give himself for us, that he might ransom us from all lawlessness, and might purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works;

¹⁴ Rhoddodd ef ei hun drosom ni i brynu rhyddid inni oddi wrth bob anghyfraith, a'n glanhau ni i fod yn bobl wedi eu neilltuo iddo ef ei hun ac yn llawn s�l dros weithredoedd da.

¹⁵these things be speaking, and exhorting, and convicting, with all charge; let no one despise thee!

¹⁵ Dywed y pethau hyn, a chymell a cherydda � phob awdurdod. Peidied neb �'th anwybyddu.
