¹For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,

¹હું પાઉલ તમારા માટે ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુનો બંદીવાન છું તમે લોકો કે જે યહૂદી નથી તેમનો પણ હું બંદીવાન છું.

²if, indeed, ye did hear of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,

²તમને ખરેખર ખબર છે કે દેવે કૃપા કરીને મને આ કામ તમને મદદરૂપ થવા સોંપ્યું છે.

³that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words] —

³દેવે તેની ગૂઢ યોજના મને જાણવા દીધી. મને તેના દર્શન કરાવ્યા જે વિષે મેં પહેલા પણ થોડું લખ્યું છે.

⁴in regard to which ye are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,

⁴અને મેં પહેલા જે લખ્યું હતું, તે જો તમે વાંચશો તો તમને સમજાશે કે દેવના ગૂઢ સત્યને હું ખરેખર જાણું છું.

⁵which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit —

⁵લોકો જે અગાઉના સમયમાં જીવતા હતા, તેઓને આ ગૂઢ સત્યનું જ્ઞાન કહ્યું નહોતું. પરંતુ હવે, આત્મા દ્વારા, દેવે તેના પવિત્ર પ્રેરિતો અને પ્રબોધકોને આ ગૂઢ સત્યના દર્શન કરાવ્યાં.

⁶that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,

⁶ગૂઢ સત્ય આ છે કે: દેવના પોતાના લોકો માટે જે કાંઈ લભ્ય છે તે બધું જ યહૂદિઓની જેમ, બિનયહૂદિઓને પણ લભ્ય બનશે. બિનયહૂદિઓ યહૂદિઓ સાથે તેના શરીરના અવયવોમાં સહભાગી છે અને ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ દ્વારા દેવે આપેલાં વચનના તેઓ પણ સહભાગીદાર છે. સુવાર્તાથી બિનયહૂદિઓને આ સર્વ સુલભ થયું છે.

⁷of which I became a ministrant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;

⁷દેવના કૃપાદાનથી, આ સુવાર્તાને કહેવા હું સેવક બન્યો હતો. દેવનું સાર્મથ્ય જે મારામાં કામ કરે છે તેનાથી મને આ કૃપા પ્રાપ્ત થઈ છે.

⁸to me — the less than the least of all the saints — was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news — the untraceable riches of the Christ,

⁸દેવના સર્વ લોકોમાં હું બિલકુલ બિનમહત્વનો છું. પરંતુ બિનયહૂદિઓને ખ્રિસ્તની અખૂટ સંપત્તિની સુવાર્તા આપવાનું દાન દેવે મને આપ્યું છે. એ સંપત્તિની સંપૂર્ણ સમજણ આપણી સમજશક્તિની બહાર છે.

⁹and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that hath been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ,

⁹જ્યારથી સમયનો આરંભ થયો, ત્યારથી જે ગૂઢ સત્ય દેવમાં ગુપ્ત હતું, તે દેવના ગુઢ સત્યને લોકો આગળ પ્રગટ કરવાનું કાર્ય પણ દેવે મને સોપ્યું છે. દેવ જ સર્વ વસ્તુઓનો સરજનહાર છે.

¹⁰that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,

¹⁰જે જુદી જુદી પદ્ધતિથી દેવ તેની પ્રજ્ઞાના દર્શન કરાવે છે તે સ્વર્ગના દરેક શાસક અને શક્તિઓને બતાવવા ઈચ્છતો હતો. મંડળી ને લીધે તેઓ આ જ્ઞાન જાણશે.

¹¹according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,

¹¹અને સમયની શરૂઆતથી દેવની જે યોજના હતી તેને આ અનુકુળ છે. દેવે ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ આપણા પ્રભુ થકી પોતાની યોજના પ્રમાણે આ કામ કર્યુ.

¹²in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of him,

¹²આપણે ખ્રિસ્તમય બનીને અને ખ્રિસ્તમાં વિશ્વાસ રાખીને, ભય વિના મુક્ત રીતે દેવ સમક્ષ ઉપસ્થિત થઈ શકીએ છીએ.

¹³wherefore, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

¹³તેથી તમને હું કહું છું કે તમારા માટે જે વેદના થાય તેનાથી નાહિંમત કે નિરાશ ન થશો. મારી વેદના તમારા માટે મહિમા લાવે છે.

¹⁴For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁴તેથી પ્રાર્થનામાં હું બાપની આગળ ઘુંટણે પડું છું.

¹⁵of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,

¹⁵આકાશમાં તેમ જ પૃથ્વી પરના દરેક કુટુંબ પોતે પોતાનાં નામ તેની પાસેથી પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે.

¹⁶that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, with might to be strengthened through His Spirit, in regard to the inner man,

¹⁶તેની મહિમાની સંપતિ પ્રમાણે પિતાને હું પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે તે તમને તેના આત્મા દ્વારા આંતરિક મનુષ્યત્વમાં બળવાન બનવાની શક્તિ આપે. તેના આત્મા દ્વારા તે તમને સાર્મથ્ય આપશે.

¹⁷that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, in love having been rooted and founded,

¹⁷હું પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે વિશ્વાસથી તમારાં હૃદયમાં ખ્રિસ્તનો વાસ હો, અને તમારું જીવન પ્રીતિનાં મજબૂત મૂળિયાં પર પાયો નીખીને પ્રીતિમય બનાવો.

¹⁸that ye may be in strength to comprehend, with all the saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,

¹⁸અને હું પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે તમે બધા સંતો ખ્રિસ્તની પ્રીતિની મહાનતાને સમજી શકવાનું સાર્મથ્ય પ્રાપ્ત કરો. હું પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે તે પ્રીતિની પહોળાઈ, લંબાઈ, ઊંચાઈ તથા ઊંડાઈ કેટલી છે તે સમજી શકો.

¹⁹to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that ye may be filled — to all the fulness of God;

¹⁹ખ્રિસ્તની પ્રીતિની મહાનતાને સમજવી કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિની જ્ઞાન મર્યાદાની બહાર છે પરંતુ હું પ્રાર્થુ છું કે તમે તે પ્રેમને સમજી શકો. પછી તમે દેવની સર્વ સંપૂર્ણતા પ્રમાણે સંપૂર્ણ થાઓ.

²⁰and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding abundantly what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,

²⁰દેવનું સાર્મથ્ય જ્યારે આપણામાં સકિય બને, ત્યારે તેના થકી આપણે માંગીએ કે ધારીએ તેના કરતાં અનેક ઘણું વધારે દેવ સિદ્ધ કરી શકશે.

²¹to Him [is] the glory in the assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.

²¹મંડળીમાં અને ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં તેનો મહિમા સર્વકાળ સુધી સ્થાપિત રહો. આમીન.
