1And a word of Jehovah is unto Jehu son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying,
1ബയെശകൂ വിരോധമായി ഹനാനിയുടെ മകന് യേഹൂവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്
2`Because that I have raised thee up out of the dust, and appoint thee leader over My people Israel, and thou walkest in the way of Jeroboam, and causest My people Israel to sin — to provoke Me to anger with their sins;
2ഞാന് നിന്നെ പൊടിയില്നിന്നു ഉയര്ത്തി എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവാക്കിവെച്ചു; നീയോ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ വഴിയില് നടക്കയും തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളാല് എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്കയാല്
3lo, I am putting away the posterity of Baasha, even the posterity of his house, and have given up thy house as the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat;
3ഇതാ ഞാന് ബയെശയെയും അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും അശേഷം അടിച്ചുവാരിക്കളയും; നിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ആക്കും.
4him who dieth of Baasha in a city do the dogs eat, and him who dieth of his in a field do fowl of the heavens eat.`
4ബയെശയുടെ സന്തതിയില് പട്ടണത്തില്വെച്ചു മരിക്കുന്നവനെ നായ്ക്കള് തിന്നും; വയലില്വെച്ചു മരിക്കുന്നവനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികള് തിന്നും.
5And the rest of the matters of Baasha, and that which he did, and his might, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
5ബയെശയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതും അവന്റെ പരാക്രമപ്രവൃത്തികളും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
6And Baasha lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Tirzah, and Elah his son reigneth in his stead.
6ബയെശാ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവനെ തിര്സ്സയില് അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകന് ഏലാ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.
7And also by the hand of Jehu son of Hanani the prophet a word of Jehovah hath been concerning Baasha, and concerning his house, and concerning all the evil that he did in the eyes of Jehovah to provoke Him to anger with the work of his hands, to be like the house of Jeroboam, and concerning that for which he smote him.
7ബയെശാ യൊരോബെയാംഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇരുന്നു തന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാല് യഹോവയെ ക്രുദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്കയും അവരെ കൊന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്നും അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായി ഹനാനിയുടെ മകനായ യേഹൂപ്രവാചകന് മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
8In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Elah son of Baasha over Israel in Tirzah, two years;
8യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്താറാം ആണ്ടില് ബയെശയുടെ മകന് ഏലാ യിസ്രായേലില് രാജാവായി തിര്സ്സയില് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം വാണു.
9and conspire against him doth his servant Zimri (head of the half of the chariots) and he [is] in Tirzah drinking — a drunkard in the house of Arza, who [is] over the house in Tirzah.
9എന്നാല് രഥങ്ങളില് പകുതിക്കു അധിപതിയായ സിമ്രി എന്ന അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന് അവന്നു വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി, അവന് തിര്സ്സയില് തിര്സ്സാരാജധാനിവിചാരകനായ അര്സ്സയുടെ വീട്ടില് കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള്
10And Zimri cometh in and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigneth in his stead;
10സിമ്രി അകത്തു കടന്നു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടില് അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.
11and it cometh to pass in his reigning, at his sitting on his throne, he hath smitten the whole house of Baasha; he hath not left to him any sitting on the wall, and of his redeemers, and of his friends.
11അവന് രാജാവായി സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്ന ഉടനെ ബയെശയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തെ മുഴുവനും നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവന്നാകട്ടെ അവന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാര്ക്കാകട്ടെ പുരുഷപ്രജയായ ഒന്നിനെയും അവന് ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.
12And Zimri destroyeth the whole house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake concerning Baasha, by the hand of Jehu the prophet:
12അങ്ങനെ ബയെശയും അവന്റെ മകന് ഏലയും തങ്ങളുടെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു, തങ്ങള് ചെയ്തതും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യിച്ചതുമായ സകല പാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം
13concerning all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, that they sinned, and that they caused Israel to sin to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.
13യഹോവ യേഹൂപ്രവാചകന് മുഖാന്തരം ബയെശകൂ വിരോധമായി അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനപ്രകാരം സിമ്രി ബയെശയുടെ ഭവനത്തെ മുഴുവനും നിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
14And the rest of the matters of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
14ഏലയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
15In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, reigned hath Zimri seven days in Tirzah; and the people are encamping against Gibbethon, which [is] to the Philistines;
15യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടില് സിമ്രി തിര്സ്സയില് ഏഴു ദിവസം രാജാവായിരുന്നു; അന്നു പടജ്ജനം ഫെലിസ്ത്യര്ക്കുംള്ള ഗിബ്ബെഥോന് നിരോധിച്ചിരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.
16and the people who are encamping hear, saying, `Zimri hath conspired, and also hath smitten the king;` and all Israel cause Omri head of the host to reign over Israel on that day in the camp.
16സിമ്രി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി രാജാവിനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു പാളയം ഇറങ്ങിയിരുന്ന പടജ്ജനം കേട്ടപ്പോള് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും അന്നു തന്നേ പാളയത്തില്വെച്ചു സേനാധിപതിയായ ഒമ്രിയെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവാക്കി വാഴിച്ചു.
17And Omri goeth up, and all Israel with him, from Gibbethon, and they lay siege to Tirzah.
17ഉടനെ ഒമ്രി എല്ലായിസ്രായേലുമായി ഗിബ്ബെഥോന് വിട്ടുചെന്നു തിര്സ്സയെ നിരോധിച്ചു.
18And it cometh to pass, at Zimri`s seeing that the city hath been captured, that he cometh in unto a high place of the house of the king, and burneth over him the house of the king with fire, and dieth,
18പട്ടണം പിടിപെട്ടു എന്നു സിമ്രി കണ്ടപ്പോള് രാജധാനിയുടെ ഉള്മുറിയില് കടന്നു രാജധാനിക്കു തീവെച്ചു അതില് മരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
19for his sins that he sinned, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to walk in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin that he did, to cause Israel to sin;
19അവന് യെരോബെയാമിന്റെ വഴിയിലും അവന് യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യിച്ച പാപത്തിലും നടന്നു യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പ്രവൃത്തിച്ചു, ഇങ്ങനെ താന് ചെയ്ത പാപങ്ങള്നിമിത്തം തന്നേ.
20and the rest of the matters of Zimri, and his conspiracy that he made, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
20സിമ്രിയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടും യിസ്രായേല് രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
21Then are the sons of Israel parted into halves; half of the people hath been after Tibni son of Ginath to cause him to reign, and the half after Omri;
21അന്നു യിസ്രായേല് ജനം രണ്ടു ഭാഗമായി പിരിഞ്ഞു; പാതി ജനം ഗീനത്തിന്റെ മകനായ തിബ്നിയെ രാജാവാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ പക്ഷം ചേര്ന്നു; പാതി ജനം ഒമ്രിയുടെ പക്ഷം ചേര്ന്നു.
22and stronger are the people that are after Omri than the people that are after Tibni son of Ginath, and Tibni dieth, and Omri reigneth.
22എന്നാല് ഒമ്രിയുടെ പക്ഷം ചേര്ന്ന ജനം ഗീനത്തിന്റെ മകനായ തിബ്നിയുടെ പക്ഷം ചേര്ന്ന ജനത്തെ തോല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ തിബ്നി പട്ടുപോകയും ഒമ്രി രാജാവാകയും ചെയ്തു.
23In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah reigned hath Omri over Israel twelve years; in Tirzah he hath reigned six years,
23യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ മുപ്പത്തൊന്നാം ആണ്ടില് ഒമ്രി യിസ്രായേലില് രാജാവായി പന്ത്രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം വാണു; തിര്സ്സയില് അവന് ആറു സംവത്സരം വാണു.
24and he buyeth the mount Samaria from Shemer, with two talents of silver, and buildeth [on] the mount, and calleth the name of the city that he hath built by the name of Shemer, lord of the hill — Samaria.
24പിന്നെ അവന് ശേമെരിനോടു ശമര്യാമല രണ്ടു താലന്തു വെള്ളിക്കു വാങ്ങി ആ മലമുകളില് പട്ടണം പണിതു; താന് പണിത പട്ടണത്തിന്നു മലയുടമസ്ഥനായിരുന്ന ശേമെരിന്റെ പേരിന് പ്രകാരം ശമര്യാ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.
25And Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and doth evil above all who [are] before him,
25ഒമ്രി യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; തനിക്കു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.
26and walketh in all the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and in his sin that he caused Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, with their vanities.
26എങ്ങനെയെന്നാല്അവന് നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ എല്ലാവഴിയിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ തങ്ങളുടെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളാല് കോപിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച പാപങ്ങളിലും നടന്നു.
27And the rest of the matters of Omri that he did, and his might that he got, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
27ഒമ്രി ചെയ്ത മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്ത പരാക്രമപ്രവൃത്തികളും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
28And Omri lieth with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigneth in his stead.
28ഒമ്രി തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ശമര്യയില് അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു. അവന്റെ മകനായ ആഹാബ് അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.
29And Ahab son of Omri hath reigned over Israel in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah, and Ahab son of Omri reigneth over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years,
29യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ മുപ്പത്തെട്ടാം ആണ്ടില് ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ ആഹാബ് യിസ്രായേലില് രാജാവായി; ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ ആഹാബ് ശമര്യയില് യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഇരുപത്തുരണ്ടു സംവത്സരം വാണു.
30and Ahab son of Omri doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah above all who [are] before him.
30ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ ആഹാബ് തനിക്കു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും അധികം യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.
31And it cometh to pass — hath it been light his walking in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat? — then he taketh a wife, Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Zidonians, and goeth and serveth Baal, and boweth himself to it,
31നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളില് നടക്കുന്നതു പോരാ എന്നു തോന്നുമാറു അവന് സീദോന്യരാജാവായ എത്ത്-ബാലിന്റെ മകളായ ഈസേബെലിനെ ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിക്കയും ബാലിനെ ചെന്നു സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
32and raiseth up an altar for Baal, in the house of the Baal, that he built in Samaria;
32താന് ശമര്യയില് പണിത ബാലിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് അവന് ബാലിന്നു ഒരു ബലിപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി.
33and Ahab maketh the shrine, and Ahab addeth to do so as to provoke Jehovah, God of Israel, above all the kings of Israel who have been before him.
33ആഹാബ് ഒരു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അങ്ങനെ ആഹാബ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തനിക്കു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.
34In his days hath Hiel the Beth-Elite built Jericho; in Abiram his first-born he laid its foundation, and in Segub his youngest he set up its doors, according to the word of Jehovah that He spake by the hand of Joshua son of Nun.
34അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ബേഥേല്യനായ ഹീയേല് യെരീഹോ പണിതു; യഹോവ നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനപ്രകാരം അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടപ്പോള് അവന്നു അബീറാം എന്ന മൂത്തമകനും അതിന്റെ പടിവാതില് വെച്ചപ്പോള് ശെഗൂബു എന്ന ഇളയമകനും നഷ്ടംവന്നു.
