1And Job answereth and saith: —
1അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
2Truly — ye [are] the people, And with you doth wisdom die.
2ഔഹോ, നിങ്ങള് ആകുന്നു വിദ്വജ്ജനം! നിങ്ങള് മരിച്ചാല് ജ്ഞാനം മരിക്കും.
3I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
3നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ എനിക്കും ബുദ്ധി ഉണ്ടു; നിങ്ങളെക്കാള് ഞാന് അധമനല്ല; ആര്ക്കാകുന്നു ഈവക അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്തതു?
4A laughter to his friend I am: `He calleth to God, and He answereth him,` A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
4ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചു ഉത്തരം ലഭിച്ച ഞാന് എന്റെ സഖിക്കു പരിഹാസവിഷയമായിത്തീര്ന്നു; നീതിമാനും നഷ്കളങ്കനുമായവന് തന്നേ പരിഹാസവിഷയമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
5A torch — despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
5വിപത്തു നിന്ദ്യം എന്നു സുഖിയന്റെ വിചാരം; കാല് ഇടറുന്നവര്ക്കും അതു ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
6At peace are the tents of spoilers, And those provoking God have confidence, He into whose hand God hath brought.
6പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങള് ശുഭമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തെ കോപിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര് നിര്ഭയമായ്വസിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കയ്യില് ദൈവം എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നു.
7And yet, ask, I pray thee, [One of] the beasts, and it doth shew thee, And a fowl of the heavens, And it doth declare to thee.
7മൃഗങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്ക; അവ നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കും; ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളോടു ചോദിക്ക; അവ പറഞ്ഞുതരും;
8Or talk to the earth, and it sheweth thee, And fishes of the sea recount to thee:
8അല്ല, ഭൂമിയോടു സംഭാഷിക്ക; അതു നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കും; സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യം നിന്നോടു വിവരിക്കും.
9`Who hath not known in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath done this?
9യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ഇതു പ്രര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഇവയെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തവനാര്?
10In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.`
10സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളുടെയും പ്രാണനും സകലമനുഷ്യവര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെയും ശ്വാസവും അവന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
11Doth not the ear try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
11ചെവി വാക്കുകളെ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? അണ്ണാകൂ ഭക്ഷണം രുചിനോക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
12With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days understanding.
12വൃദ്ധന്മാരുടെ പക്കല് ജ്ഞാനവും വയോധികന്മാരില് വിവേകവും ഉണ്ടു.
13With Him [are] wisdom and might, To him [are] counsel and understanding.
13ജ്ഞാനവും ശക്തിയും അവന്റെ പക്കല്, ആലോചനയും വിവേകവും അവന്നുള്ളതു.
14Lo, He breaketh down, and it is not built up, He shutteth against a man, And it is not opened.
14അവന് ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാല് ആര്ക്കും പണിതുകൂടാ; അവന് മനുഷ്യനെ ബന്ധിച്ചാല് ആരും അഴിച്ചുവിടുകയില്ല.
15Lo, He keepeth in the waters, and they are dried up, And he sendeth them forth, And they overturn the land.
15അവന് വെള്ളം തടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞാല് അതു വറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവന് വിട്ടയച്ചാല് അതു ഭൂമിയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
16With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
16അവന്റെ പക്കല് ശക്തിയും സാഫല്യവും ഉണ്ടു; വഞ്ചിതനും വഞ്ചകനും അവന്നുള്ളവര്.
17Causing counsellors to go away a spoil, And judges He maketh foolish.
17അവന് മന്ത്രിമാരെ കവര്ച്ചയായി കൊണ്ടു പോകുന്നു; ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ ഭോഷന്മാരാക്കുന്നു.
18The bands of kings He hath opened, And He bindeth a girdle on their loins.
18രാജാക്കന്മാര് ബന്ധിച്ചതിനെ അഴിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ അരെക്കു കയറു കെട്ടുന്നു.
19Causing ministers to go away a spoil And strong ones He overthroweth.
19അവന് പുരോഹിതന്മാരെ കവര്ച്ചയായി കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു; ബലശാലികളെ തള്ളിയിട്ടുകളയുന്നു.
20Turning aside the lip of the stedfast, And the reason of the aged He taketh away.
20അവന് വിശ്വസ്തന്മാര്ക്കും വാക്കു മുട്ടിക്കുന്നു. വൃദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധി എടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.
21Pouring contempt upon princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
21അവന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേല് ധിക്കാരം പകരുന്നു; ബലവാന്മാരുടെ അരക്കച്ച അഴിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
22Removing deep things out of darkness, And He bringeth out to light death-shade.
22അവന് അഗാധകാര്യങ്ങളെ അന്ധകാരത്തില് നിന്നു വെളിച്ചത്താക്കുന്നു; അന്ധതമസ്സിനെ പ്രകാശത്തില് വരുത്തുന്നു.
23Magnifying the nations, and He destroyeth them, Spreading out the nations, and He quieteth them.
23അവന് ജാതികളെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പക്കയും നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവന് ജാതികളെ ചിതറിക്കയും കൂട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
24Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And he causeth them to wander In vacancy — no way!
24അവന് ഭൂവാസികളില് തലവന്മാരെ ധൈര്യം കെടുക്കുന്നു; വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുന്നു;
25They feel darkness, and not light, He causeth them to wander as a drunkard.
25അവര് വെളിച്ചമില്ലാതെ ഇരുട്ടില് തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നു; അവന് മത്തന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവരെ ചാഞ്ചാടുമാറാക്കുന്നു.
