1And Job addeth to lift up his simile, and saith: —
1ഇയ്യോബ് പിന്നെയും സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാല്
2Who doth make me as [in] months past, As [in] the days of God`s preserving me?
2അയ്യോ പണ്ടത്തെ മാസങ്ങളിലെപ്പോലെ ദൈവം എന്നെ കാത്തുപോന്ന നാളുകളിലെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് ആയെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.
3In His causing His lamp to shine on my head, By His light I walk [through] darkness.
3അന്നു അവന്റെ ദീപം എന്റെ തലെക്കു മീതെ പ്രകാശിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്താല് ഞാന് ഇരുട്ടില് കൂടി നടന്നു
4As I have been in days of my maturity, And the counsel of God upon my tent.
4എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഖ്യത ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും സര്വ്വശക്തന് എന്നോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കയും.
5When yet the Mighty One [is] with me. Round about me — my young ones,
5എന്റെ മക്കള് എന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്ത എന്റെ ശുഭകാലത്തിലെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് ആയെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.
6When washing my goings with butter, And the firm rock [is] with me rivulets of oil.
6അന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ വെണ്ണകൊണ്ടു കഴുകി; പാറ എനിക്കു തൈലനദികളെ ഒഴുക്കിത്തന്നു.
7When I go out to the gate by the city, In a broad place I prepare my seat.
7ഞാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പടിവാതില്ക്കല് ചെന്നു. വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു എന്റെ ഇരിപ്പിടം വേക്കുമ്പോള്
8Seen me have youths, and they, been hidden, And the aged have risen — they stood up.
8യൌവനക്കാര് എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒളിക്കും; വൃദ്ധന്മാര് എഴുന്നേറ്റുനിലക്കും.
9Princes have kept in words, And a hand they place on their mouth.
9പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് സംസാരം നിര്ത്തി, കൈകൊണ്ടു വായ്പൊത്തും.
10The voice of leaders hath been hidden, And their tongue to the palate hath cleaved.
10ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം അടങ്ങും; അവരുടെ നാവു അണ്ണാക്കോടു പറ്റും.
11For the ear heard, and declareth me happy, And the eye hath seen, and testifieth [to] me.
11എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ട ചെവി എന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തും; എന്നെ കണ്ട കണ്ണു എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം നലകും.
12For I deliver the afflicted who is crying, And the fatherless who hath no helper.
12നിലവിളിച്ച എളിയവനെയും അനാഥനെയും തുണയറ്റവനെയും ഞാന് വിടുവിച്ചു.
13The blessing of the perishing cometh on me, And the heart of the widow I cause to sing.
13നശിക്കുമാറായവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം എന്റെ മേല് വന്നു; വിധവയുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ഞാന് സന്തോഷം കൊണ്ടു ആര്ക്കുംമാറാക്കി.
14Righteousness I have put on, and it clotheth me, As a robe and a diadem my justice.
14ഞാന് നീതിയെ ധരിച്ചു; അതു എന്റെ ഉടുപ്പായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ ന്യായം ഉത്തരീയവും തലപ്പാവും പോലെയായിരുന്നു.
15Eyes I have been to the blind, And feet to the lame [am] I.
15ഞാന് കുരുടന്നു കണ്ണും മുടന്തന്നു കാലും ആയിരുന്നു.
16A father I [am] to the needy, And the cause I have not known I search out.
16ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് അപ്പനായിരുന്നു; ഞാന് അറിയാത്തവന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം പരിശോധിച്ചു.
17And I break the jaw-teeth of the perverse, And from his teeth I cast away prey.
17നീതികെട്ടവന്റെ അണപ്പല്ലു ഞാന് തകര്ത്തു; അവന്റെ പല്ലിന് ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഇരയെ പറിച്ചെടുത്തു.
18And I say, `With my nest I expire, And as the sand I multiply days.`
18എന്റെ കൂട്ടില്വെച്ചു ഞാന് മരിക്കും; ഹോല്പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് ദീര്ഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കും.
19My root is open unto the waters, And dew doth lodge on my branch.
19എന്റെ വേര് വെള്ളത്തോളം പടര്ന്നുചെല്ലുന്നു; എന്റെ കൊമ്പിന്മേല് മഞ്ഞു രാപാര്ക്കുംന്നു.
20My honour [is] fresh with me, And my bow in my hand is renewed.
20എന്റെ മഹത്വം എന്നില് പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വില്ലു എന്റെ കയ്യില് പുതുകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.
21To me they have hearkened, Yea, they wait, and are silent for my counsel.
21മനുഷ്യര് കാത്തിരുന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കും; എന്റെ ആലോചന കേള്പ്പാന് മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കും.
22After my word they change not, And on them doth my speech drop,
22ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചശേഷം അവര് മിണ്ടുകയില്ല; എന്റെ മൊഴി അവരുടെമേല് ഇറ്റിറ്റു വീഴും.
23And they wait as [for] rain for me, And their mouth they have opened wide [As] for the latter rain.
23മഴെക്കു എന്നപോലെ അവര് എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കും; പിന്മഴെക്കെന്നപോലെ അവര് വായ്പിളര്ക്കും.
24I laugh unto them — they give no credence, And the light of my face cause not to fall.
24അവര് നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് അവരെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിയിടും; എന്റെ മുഖപ്രസാദം അവര് മങ്ങിക്കയുമില്ല.
25I choose their way, and sit head, And I dwell as a king in a troop, When mourners he doth comfort.
25ഞാന് അവരുടെ വഴി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു തലവനായിട്ടു ഇരിക്കും; സൈന്യസഹിതനായ രാജാവിനെപ്പോലെയും ദുഃഖിതന്മാരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും ഞാന് വസിക്കും;
