1And Elihu addeth and saith: —
1എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
2Honour me a little, and I shew thee, That yet for God [are] words.
2അല്പം ക്ഷമിക്ക, ഞാന് അറിയിച്ചുതരാം; ദൈവത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഇനിയും ചില വാക്കു പറവാനുണ്ടു.
3I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.
3ഞാന് ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു അറിവു കൊണ്ടുവരും; എന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിന്നു നീതിയെ ആരോപിക്കും.
4For, truly, my words [are] not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
4എന്റെ വാക്കു ഭോഷ്കല്ല നിശ്ചയം; അറിവു തികഞ്ഞവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിലക്കുന്നു.
5Lo, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.
5ദൈവം ബലവാനെങ്കിലും ആരെയും നിരസിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവന് വിവേകശക്തിയിലും ബലവാന് തന്നേ.
6He reviveth not the wicked, And the judgment of the poor appointeth;
6അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; ദുഃഖിതന്മാര്ക്കോ അവന് ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
7He withdraweth not from the righteous His eyes, And [from] kings on the throne, And causeth them to sit for ever, and they are high,
7അവന് നീതിമാന്മാരില്നിന്നു തന്റെ കടാക്ഷം മാറ്റുന്നില്ല; രാജാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവരെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുത്തുന്നു; അവര് എന്നേക്കും ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
8And if prisoners in fetters They are captured with cords of affliction,
8അവര് ചങ്ങലകളാല് ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു കഷ്ടതയുടെ പാശങ്ങളാല് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടാല്
9Then He declareth to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,
9അവന് അവര്ക്കും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയും അഹങ്കരിച്ചുപോയ ലംഘനങ്ങളും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.
10And He uncovereth their ear for instruction, And saith that they turn back from iniquity.
10അവന് അവരുടെ ചെവി പ്രബോധനത്തിന്നു തുറക്കുന്നു; അവര് നീതികേടു വിട്ടുതിരിവാന് കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
11If they do hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.
11അവര് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചു അവനെ സേവിച്ചാല് തങ്ങളുടെ നാളുകളെ ഭാഗ്യത്തിലും ആണ്ടുകളെ ആനന്ദത്തിലും കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടും.
12And if they do not hearken, By the dart they pass away, And expire without knowledge.
12കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലോ അവര് വാളാല് നശിക്കും; ബുദ്ധിമോശത്താല് മരിച്ചുപോകും.
13And the profane in heart set the face, They cry not when He hath bound them.
13ദുഷ്ടമാനസന്മാര് കോപം സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു; അവന് അവരെ ബന്ധിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് രക്ഷെക്കായി വിളിക്കുന്നില്ല.
14Their soul dieth in youth, And their life among the defiled.
14അവര് യൌവനത്തില് തന്നേ മരിച്ചു പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ജീവന് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരുടേതു പോലെ നശിക്കുന്നു.
15He draweth out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovereth in oppression their ear.
15അവന് അരിഷ്ടനെ അവന്റെ അരിഷ്ടതയാല് വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; പീഡയില് തന്നേ അവരുടെ ചെവി തുറക്കുന്നു.
16And also He moved thee from a strait place, [To] a broad place — no straitness under it, And the sitting beyond of thy table Hath been full of fatness.
16നിന്നെയും അവന് കഷ്ടതയുടെ വായില് നിന്നു ഇടുക്കമില്ലാത്ത വിശാലതയിലേക്കു നടത്തുമായിരുന്നു. നിന്റെ മേശമേല് സ്വാദുഭോജനം വെക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
17And the judgment of the wicked thou hast fulfilled, Judgment and justice are upheld — because of fury,
17നീയോ ദുഷ്ടവിധികൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; വിധിയും നീതിയും നിന്നെ പിടിക്കും.
18Lest He move thee with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement turn thee not aside.
18കോപം നിന്നെ പരിഹാസത്തിന്നായി വശീകരിക്കരുതു; മറുവിലയുടെ വലിപ്പം ഔര്ത്തു നീ തെറ്റിപ്പോകയുമരുതു.
19Doth He value thy riches? He hath gold, and all the forces of power.
19കഷ്ടത്തില് അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാന് നിന്റെ നിലവിളിയും ശക്തിയേറിയ പരിശ്രമങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും മതിയാകുമോ?
20Desire not the night, For the going up of peoples in their stead.
20ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന രാത്രിയെ നീ കാംക്ഷിക്കരുതു.
21Take heed — do not turn unto iniquity, For on this thou hast fixed Rather than [on] affliction.
21സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക; നീതികേടിലേക്കു തിരിയരുതു; അതല്ലോ നീ അരിഷ്ടതയെക്കാള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു.
22Lo, God doth sit on high by His power, Who [is] like Him — a teacher?
22ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാല് ഉന്നതമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു തുല്യനായ ഉപദേശകന് ആരുള്ളു?
23Who hath appointed unto Him his way? And who said, `Thou hast done iniquity?`
23അവനോടു അവന്റെ വഴിയെ കല്പിച്ചതാര്? നീ നീതികേടു ചെയ്തു എന്നു അവനോടു ആര്ക്കും പറയാം?
24Remember that thou magnify His work That men have beheld.
24അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ മഹിമപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് നീ ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക; അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചല്ലോ മനുഷ്യര് പാടിയിരിക്കുന്നതു.
25All men have looked on it, Man looketh attentively from afar.
25മനുഷ്യരൊക്കെയും അതു കണ്ടു രസിക്കുന്നു; ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു മര്ത്യന് അതിനെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു.
26Lo, God [is] high, And we know not the number of His years, Yea, there [is] no searching.
26നമുക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ദൈവം അത്യുന്നതന് ; അവന്റെ ആണ്ടുകളുടെ സംഖ്യ ആരാഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്തതു.
27When He doth diminish droppings of the waters, They refine rain according to its vapour,
27അവന് നീര്ത്തുള്ളികളെ ആകര്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ആവിയാല് അവ മഴയായി പെയ്യുന്നു.
28Which clouds do drop, They distil on man abundantly.
28മേഘങ്ങള് അവയെ ചൊരിയുന്നു; മനുഷ്യരുടെമേല് ധാരാളമായി പൊഴിക്കുന്നു.
29Yea, doth [any] understand The spreadings out of a cloud? The noises of His tabernacle?
29ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും മേഘങ്ങളുടെ വിരിവുകളെയും അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കത്തെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാമോ?
30Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered,
30അവന് തന്റെ ചുറ്റും പ്രകാശം വിരിക്കുന്നു; സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ അടിയെ മൂടുന്നു.
31For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance.
31ഇവയാല് അവന് ജാതികളെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നു; ആഹാരവും ധാരാളമായി കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
32By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,
32അവന് മിന്നല്കൊണ്ടു തൃക്കൈ നിറെക്കുന്നു; പ്രതിയോഗിയുടെ നേരെ അതിനെ നിയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
33He sheweth by it [to] his friend substance, Anger against perversity.
33അതിന്റെ മുഴക്കം അവനെയും കന്നുകാലികള് എഴുന്നെള്ളുന്നവനെയും കുറിച്ചു അറിവുതരുന്നു.
