1Words of Lemuel a king, a declaration that his mother taught him:
1ലെമൂവേല്രാജാവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള്; അവന്റെ അമ്മ അവന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു കൊടുത്ത അരുളപ്പാടു.
2`What, my son? and what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?
2മകനേ, എന്തു? ഞാന് പ്രസവിച്ച മകനേ എന്തു? എന്റെ നേര്ച്ചകളുടെ മകനേ, എന്തു?
3Give not to women thy strength, And thy ways to wiping away of kings.
3സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കു നിന്റെ ബലത്തെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും നിന്റെ വഴികളെയും കൊടുക്കരുതു.
4Not for kings, O Lemuel, Not for kings, to drink wine, And for princes a desire of strong drink.
4വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുന്നതു രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊള്ളരുതു; ലെമൂവേലേ, രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും അതു കൊള്ളരുതു; മദ്യസക്തി പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊള്ളരുതു.
5Lest he drink, and forget the decree, And change the judgment of any of the sons of affliction.
5അവര് കുടിച്ചിട്ടു നിയമം മറന്നുപോകുവാനും അരിഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും ഇടവരരുതു.
6Give strong drink to the perishing, And wine to the bitter in soul,
6നശിക്കുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നവന്നു മദ്യവും മനോവ്യസനമുള്ളവന്നു വീഞ്ഞും കൊടുക്ക.
7He drinketh, and forgetteth his poverty, And his misery he remembereth not again.
7അവന് കുടിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ ദാരിദ്ര്യം മറക്കയും തന്റെ അരിഷ്ടത ഔര്ക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
8Open thy mouth for the dumb, For the right of all sons of change.
8ഊമന്നു വേണ്ടി നിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്ക; ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ഏവരുടെയും കാര്യത്തില് തന്നേ.
9Open thy mouth, judge righteously, Both the cause of the poor and needy!`
9നിന്റെ വായ് തുറന്നു നീതിയോടെ ന്യായം വിധിക്ക; എളിയവന്നും ദരിദ്രന്നും ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്ക.
10A woman of worth who doth find? Yea, far above rubies [is] her price.
10സാമര്ത്ഥ്യമുള്ള ഭാര്യയെ ആര്ക്കും കിട്ടും? അവളുടെ വില മുത്തുകളിലും ഏറും.
11The heart of her husband hath trusted in her, And spoil he lacketh not.
11ഭര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവളെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ലാഭത്തിന്നു ഒരു കുറവുമില്ല.
12She hath done him good, and not evil, All days of her life.
12അവള് തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും അവന്നു തിന്മയല്ല നന്മ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
13She hath sought wool and flax, And with delight she worketh [with] her hands.
13അവള് ആട്ടുരോമവും ചണവും സമ്പാദിച്ചു താല്പര്യത്തോടെ കൈകൊണ്ടു വേലചെയ്യുന്നു.
14She hath been as ships of the merchant, From afar she bringeth in her bread.
14അവള് കച്ചവടക്കപ്പല് പോലെയാകുന്നു; ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു ആഹാരം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
15Yea, she riseth while yet night, And giveth food to her household, And a portion to her damsels.
15അവള് നന്നരാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു, വീട്ടിലുള്ളവര്ക്കും ആഹാരവും വേലക്കാരത്തികള്ക്കു ഔഹരിയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
16She hath considered a field, and taketh it, From the fruit of her hands she hath planted a vineyard.
16അവള് ഒരു നിലത്തിന്മേല് ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു അതു മേടിക്കുന്നു; കൈനേട്ടംകൊണ്ടു അവള് ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.
17She hath girded with might her loins, And doth strengthen her arms.
17അവള് ബലംകൊണ്ടു അര മുറക്കുകയും ഭുജങ്ങളെ ശക്തീകരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18She hath perceived when her merchandise [is] good, Her lamp is not extinguished in the night.
18തന്റെ വ്യാപാരം ആദായമുള്ളതെന്നു അവള് ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ വിളകൂ രാത്രിയില് കെട്ടുപോകുന്നതുമില്ല.
19Her hands she hath sent forth on a spindle, And her hands have held a distaff.
19അവള് വിടുത്തലെക്കു കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു; അവളുടെ വിരല് കതിര് പിടിക്കുന്നു.
20Her hand she hath spread forth to the poor, Yea, her hands she sent forth to the needy.
20അവള് തന്റെ കൈ എളിയവര്ക്കും തുറക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു.
21She is not afraid of her household from snow, For all her household are clothed [with] scarlet.
21തന്റെ വീട്ടുകാരെച്ചൊല്ലി അവള് ഹിമത്തെ പേടിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവളുടെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവര്ക്കൊക്കെയും ചുവപ്പു കമ്പളി ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
22Ornamental coverings she hath made for herself, Silk and purple [are] her clothing.
22അവള് തനിക്കു പരവതാനി ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ശണപടവും ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും അവളുടെ ഉടുപ്പു.
23Known in the gates is her husband, In his sitting with elders of the land.
23ദേശത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവു പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് പ്രസിദ്ധനാകുന്നു.
24Linen garments she hath made, and selleth, And a girdle she hath given to the merchant.
24അവള് ശണവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കി വിലക്കുന്നു; അരക്കച്ച ഉണ്ടാക്കി കച്ചവടക്കാരനെ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു.
25Strength and honour [are] her clothing, And she rejoiceth at a latter day.
25ബലവും മഹിമയും അവളുടെ ഉടുപ്പു; ഭാവികാലം ഔര്ത്തു അവള് പുഞ്ചിരിയിടുന്നു.
26Her mouth she hath opened in wisdom, And the law of kindness [is] on her tongue.
26അവള് ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ വായ് തുറക്കുന്നു; ദയയുള്ള ഉപദേശം അവളുടെ നാവിന്മേല് ഉണ്ടു.
27She [is] watching the ways of her household, And bread of sloth she eateth not.
27വീട്ടുകാരുടെ പെരുമാറ്റം അവള് സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കുന്നു; വെറുതെ ഇരുന്നു അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല.
28Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her happy, Her husband, and he praiseth her,
28അവളുടെ മക്കള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവളെ ഭാഗ്യവതി എന്നു പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു; അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവും അവളെ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നതു
29`Many [are] the daughters who have done worthily, Thou hast gone up above them all.`
29അനേകം തരുണികള് സാമര്ത്ഥ്യം കാണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; നീയോ അവരെല്ലാവരിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠയായിരിക്കുന്നു.
30The grace [is] false, and the beauty [is] vain, A woman fearing Jehovah, she may boast herself.
30ലാവണ്യം വ്യാജവും സൌന്ദര്യം വ്യര്ത്ഥവും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവാഭക്തിയുള്ള സ്ത്രീയോ പ്രശംസിക്കപ്പെടും.
31Give ye to her of the fruit of her hands, And her works do praise her in the gates!
31അവളുടെ കൈകളുടെ ഫലം അവള്ക്കു കൊടുപ്പിന് ; അവളുടെ സ്വന്തപ്രവൃത്തികള് പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് അവളെ പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ.
