1Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her pillars — seven.
1ജ്ഞാനമായവള് തനിക്കു ഒരു വീടുപണിതു; അതിന്നു ഏഴു തൂണ് തീര്ത്തു.
2She hath slaughtered her slaughter, She hath mingled her wine, Yea, she hath arranged her table.
2അവള് മൃഗങ്ങളെ അറുത്തു, വീഞ്ഞു കലക്കി, തന്റെ മേശ ചമയിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
3She hath sent forth her damsels, She crieth on the tops of the high places of the city:
3അവള് തന്റെ ദാസികളെ അയച്ചു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മേടകളില്നിന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറയിക്കുന്നതു
4`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.` Whoso lacketh heart: she hath said to him,
4അല്പബുദ്ധിയായവന് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു വരട്ടെ; ബുദ്ധിഹീനനോടോ അവള് പറയിക്കുന്നതു;
5`Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.
5വരുവിന് , എന്റെ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും ഞാന് കലക്കിയ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് !
6Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.
6ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനത വിട്ടു ജീവിപ്പിന് ! വിവേകത്തിന്റെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് .
7The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it — shame, And a reprover of the wicked — his blemish.
7പരിഹാസിയെ ശാസിക്കുന്നവന് ലജ്ജ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടനെ ഭര്ത്സിക്കുന്നവന്നു കറ പറ്റുന്നു.
8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, Give reproof to the wise, and he loveth thee.
8പരിഹാസി നിന്നെ പകെക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ശാസിക്കരുതു; ജ്ഞാനിയെ ശാസിക്ക; അവന് നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കും.
9Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increaseth learning.
9ജ്ഞാനിയെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക, അവന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം വര്ദ്ധിക്കും; നീതിമാനെ ഉപദേശിക്ക അവന് വിദ്യാഭിവൃദ്ധി പ്രാപിക്കും.
10The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of Jehovah, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
10യഹോവാഭക്തി ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭവും പരിശുദ്ധനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനം വിവേകവും ആകുന്നു.
11For by me do thy days multiply, And added to thee are years of life.
11ഞാന് മുഖാന്തരം നിന്റെ നാളുകള് പെരുകും; നിനക്കു ദീര്ഘായുസ്സു ഉണ്ടാകും.
12If thou hast been wise, thou hast been wise for thyself, And thou hast scorned — thyself bearest [it].
12നീ ജ്ഞാനിയാകുന്നുവെങ്കില് നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി തന്നേ ജ്ഞാനിയായിരിക്കും; പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ, നീ തന്നേ സഹിക്കേണ്ടിവരും.
13A foolish woman [is] noisy, Simple, and hath not known what.
13ഭോഷത്വമായവള് മോഹപരവശയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവള് ബുദ്ധിഹീന തന്നേ, ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
14And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne — the high places of the city,
14തങ്ങളുടെ പാതയില് നേരെ നടക്കുന്നവരായി കടന്നുപോകുന്നവരെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു
15To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight [on] their paths.
15അവള് പട്ടണത്തിലെ മേടകളില് തന്റെ വീട്ടുവാതില്ക്കല് ഒരു പീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
16`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.` And whoso lacketh heart — she said to him,
16അല്പബുദ്ധിയായവന് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു വരട്ടെ; ബുദ്ധിഹീനനോടോ അവള് പറയുന്നതു;
17`Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.`
17മോഷ്ടിച്ച വെള്ളം മധുരവും ഒളിച്ചുതിന്നുന്ന അപ്പം രുചികരവും ആകുന്നു.
18And he hath not known that Rephaim [are] there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!
18എങ്കിലും മൃതന്മാര് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നും അവളുടെ വിരുന്നുകാര് പാതാളത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവന് അറിയുന്നില്ല.
