2O Jehovah, deliver my soul from a lying lip, From a deceitful tongue!
2എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയില് ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് എനിക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയും ചെയ്തു.
3What doth He give to thee? And what doth He add to thee? O deceitful tongue!
3യഹോവേ, വ്യാജമുള്ള അധരങ്ങളെയും വഞ്ചനയുള്ള നാവിനെയും തടുത്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.
4Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with broom-coals.
4വഞ്ചനയുള്ള നാവേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു വരും? നിനക്കു ഇനി എന്തു കിട്ടും?
5Wo to me, for I have inhabited Mesech, I have dwelt with tents of Kedar.
5വീരന്റെ മൂര്ച്ചയുള്ള അസ്ത്രങ്ങളും പൂവത്തിന് കനലും തന്നേ.
6Too much hath my soul dwelt with him who is hating peace.
6ഞാന് മേശെക്കില് പ്രവാസം ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും കേദാര്ക്കുംടാരങ്ങളില് പാര്ക്കുംന്നതുകൊണ്ടും എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
7I [am] peace, and when I speak they [are] for war!
7സമാധാനദ്വേഷിയോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്നതു എനിക്കു മതിമതിയായി.
8ഞാന് സമാധാനപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴോ അവര് കലശല് തുടങ്ങുന്നു.
