1By David. Jehovah [is] my light and my salvation, Whom do I fear? Jehovah [is] the strength of my life, Of whom am I afraid?
1യഹോവ എന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എന്റെ രക്ഷയും ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് ആരെ ഭയപ്പെടും? യഹോവ എന്റെ ജീവന്റെ ബലം; ഞാന് ആരെ പേടിക്കും?
2When evil doers come near to me to eat my flesh, My adversaries and mine enemies to me, They have stumbled and fallen.
2എന്റെ വൈരികളും ശത്രുക്കളുമായ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മികള് എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുവാന് എന്നോടു അടുക്കുമ്പോള് ഇടറിവീഴും.
3Though a host doth encamp against me, My heart doth not fear, Though war riseth up against me, In this I [am] confident.
3ഒരു സൈന്യം എന്റെ നേരെ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയാലും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; എനിക്കു യുദ്ധം നേരിട്ടാലും ഞാന് നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കും.
4One [thing] I asked of Jehovah — it I seek. My dwelling in the house of Jehovah, All the days of my life, To look on the pleasantness of Jehovah, And to inquire in His temple.
4ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു ഒരു കാര്യം അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അതു തന്നേ ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ മനോഹരത്വം കാണ്മാനും അവന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തില് ധ്യാനിപ്പാനും എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് പാര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
5For He hideth me in a tabernacle in the day of evil, He hideth me in a secret place of His tent, On a rock he raiseth me up.
5അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തില് അവന് തന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് എന്നെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കും; തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ മറവില് എന്നെ മറെക്കും; പാറമേല് എന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തും.
6And now, lifted up is my head, Above my enemies — my surrounders, And I sacrifice in His tent sacrifices of shouting, I sing, yea, I sing praise to Jehovah.
6ഇപ്പോള് എന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മേല് എന്റെ തല ഉയരും; ഞാന് അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ജയഘോഷയാഗങ്ങളെ അര്പ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കു പാടി കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്യും.
7Hear, O Jehovah, my voice — I call, And favour me, and answer me.
7യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ഉറക്കെ, വിളിക്കുമ്പോള് കേള്ക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു കൃപചെയ്തു എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ.
8To Thee said my heart `They sought my face, Thy face, O Jehovah, I seek.`
8“എന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിപ്പിന്” എന്നു നിങ്കല്നിന്നു കല്പന വന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം പറയുന്നു; യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു.
9Hide not Thy face from me, Turn not aside in anger Thy servant, My help Thou hast been. Leave me not, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
9നിന്റെ മുഖം എനിക്കു മറെക്കരുതേ; അടിയനെകോപത്തോടെ നീക്കിക്കളയരുതേ; നീ എനിക്കു തുണയായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമരുതേ.
10When my father and my mother Have forsaken me, then doth Jehovah gather me.
10എന്റെ അപ്പനും അമ്മയും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും യഹോവ എന്നെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ളും.
11Shew me, O Jehovah, Thy way, And lead me in a path of uprightness, For the sake of my beholders.
11യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ വഴി എന്നെ കാണിക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്നിമിത്തം നേരെയുള്ള പാതയില് എന്നെ നടത്തേണമേ.
12Give me not to the will of my adversaries, For risen against me have false witnesses, And they breathe out violence to me.
12എന്റെ വൈരികളുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന്നു എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കരുതേ; കള്ളസാക്ഷികളും ക്രൂരത്വം നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരും എന്നോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു.
13I had not believed to look on the goodness of Jehovah In the land of the living!
13ഞാന് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നന്മ കാണുമെന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില് കഷ്ടം!
14Look unto Jehovah — be strong, And He doth strengthen thy heart, Yea, look unto Jehovah!
14യഹോവയിങ്കല് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക; ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ; അതേ, യഹോവയിങ്കല് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക.
