1By David. Strive, Jehovah, with my strivers, fight with my fighters,
1യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുന്നവരോടു വാദിക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവരോടു പെരുതേണമേ.
2Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise for my help,
2നീ പലകയും പരിചയും പിടിച്ചു എനിക്കു സഹായത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ.
3And draw out spear and lance, To meet my pursuers. Say to my soul, `Thy salvation I [am].`
3നീ കുന്തം ഊരി എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ വഴി അടെച്ചുകളയേണമേ; ഞാന് നിന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു പറയേണമേ.
4They are ashamed and blush, those seeking my soul, Turned backward and confounded, Those devising my evil.
4എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരട്ടെ; എനിക്കു അനര്ത്ഥം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവര് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നാണിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ.
5They are as chaff before wind, And a messenger of Jehovah driving away.
5അവര് കാറ്റിന്നു മുമ്പിലെ പതിര്പോലെ ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് അവരെ ഔടിക്കട്ടെ.
6Their way is darkness and slipperiness, And a messenger of Jehovah their pursuer.
6അവരുടെ വഴി ഇരുട്ടും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് അവരെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ.
7For without cause they hid for me their netpit, Without cause they digged for my soul.
7കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവര് എനിക്കായി വല ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു; കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവര് എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
8Meet him doth desolation — he knoweth not, And his net that he hid catcheth him, For desolation he falleth into it.
8അവന് വിചാരിയാതെ അവന്നു അപായം ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച വലയില് അവന് തന്നേ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ; അവന് അപായത്തില് അകപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.
9And my soul is joyful in Jehovah, It rejoiceth in His salvation.
9എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയില് ആനന്ദിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയില് സന്തോഷിക്കും;
10All my bones say, `Jehovah, who is like Thee, Delivering the poor from the stronger than he, And the poor and needy from his plunderer.`
10യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു തുല്യന് ആര്? എളിയവനെ തന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനുമായവനെ കവര്ച്ചക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും നീ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ഒക്കെയും പറയും.
11Violent witnesses rise up, That which I have not known they ask me.
11കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത കാര്യം എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.
12They pay me evil for good, bereaving my soul,
12അവര് എനിക്കു നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മചെയ്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു അനാഥത്വം വരുത്തുന്നു.
13And I — in their sickness my clothing [is] sackcloth, I have humbled with fastings my soul, And my prayer unto my bosom returneth.
13ഞാനോ, അവര് ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നപ്പോള് രട്ടുടുത്തു; ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു; എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന എന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.
14As [if] a friend, as [if] my brother, I walked habitually, As a mourner for a mother, Mourning I have bowed down.
14അവന് എനിക്കു സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോ എന്നപോലെ ഞാന് പെരുമാറി; അമ്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് ദുഃഖിച്ചു കുനിഞ്ഞുനടന്നു.
15And — in my halting they have rejoiced, And have been gathered together, Gathered against me were the smiters, And I have not known, They have rent, and they have not ceased;
15അവരോ എന്റെ വീഴ്ചയിങ്കല് സന്തോഷിച്ചു കൂട്ടംകൂടി; ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത അധമന്മാര് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂടിവന്നു. അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ പഴിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
16With profane ones, mockers in feasts, Gnashing against me their teeth.
16അടിയന്തരങ്ങളില് കോമാളികളായ വഷളന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.
17Lord, how long dost thou behold? Keep back my soul from their desolations, From young lions my only one.
17കര്ത്താവേ, നീ എത്രത്തോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും? അവരുടെ നാശത്തില്നിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ ജിവനെയും വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.
18I thank Thee in a great assembly, Among a mighty people I praise Thee.
18ഞാന് മഹാസഭയില് നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ബഹുജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.
19Mine enemies rejoice not over me [with] falsehood, Those hating me without cause wink the eye.
19വെറുതെ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് കണ്ണിമെക്കയുമരുതേ.
20For they speak not peace, And against the quiet of the land, Deceitful words they devise,
20അവര് സമാധാനവാക്കു സംസാരിക്കാതെ ദേശത്തിലെ സാധുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വ്യാജകാര്യങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.
21And they enlarge against me their mouth, They said, `Aha, aha, our eye hath seen.`
21അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളര്ന്നുനന്നായി, ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തകണ്ണാല് കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22Thou hast seen, O Jehovah, Be not silent, O Lord — be not far from me,
22യഹോവേ, നീ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; മൌനമായിരിക്കരുതേ; കര്ത്താവേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ,
23Stir up, and wake to my judgment, My God, and my Lord, to my plea.
23എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്റെ കര്ത്താവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ഉണര്ന്നു എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നും വ്യവഹാരത്തിന്നും ജാഗരിക്കേണമേ.
24Judge me according to Thy righteousness, O Jehovah my God, And they do not rejoice over me.
24എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരം എനിക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചു തരേണമേ; അവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ.
25They do not say in their heart, `Aha, our desire.` They do not say, `We swallowed him up.`
25അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിച്ചു എന്നു പറയരുതേ; ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നും പറയരുതേ.
26They are ashamed and confounded together, Who are rejoicing at my evil. They put on shame and confusion, Who are magnifying themselves against me.
26എന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥത്തില് സന്തോഷിയക്കുന്നവര് ഒരുപോലെ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ, എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പുപറയുന്നവര് ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും ധരിക്കട്ടെ.
27They sing and rejoice, who are desiring my righteousness, And they say continually, `Jehovah is magnified, Who is desiring the peace of His servant.`
27എന്റെ നീതിയില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നവര് ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ. തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവന് എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവര് എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.
28And my tongue uttereth Thy righteousness, All the day Thy praise!
28എന്റെ നാവു നിന്റെ നീതിയെയും നാളെല്ലാം നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയെയും വര്ണ്ണിക്കും.
