1To the Overseer. — `On the Dumb Dove far off.` — A secret treasure of David, in the Philistines` taking hold of him in Gath. Favour me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresseth me,
1ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; മനുഷ്യര് എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങുവാന് പോകുന്നു; അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ പൊരുതു എന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നു.
2Mine enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many [are] fighting against me, O most High,
2എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങുവാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നു; ഗര്വ്വത്തോടെ എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവര് അനേകരല്ലോ.
3The day I am afraid I am confident toward Thee.
3ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന നാളില് നിന്നില് ആശ്രയിക്കും.
4In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I fear not what flesh doth to me.
4ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും; ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല. ജഡത്തിന്നു എന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് കഴിയും?
5All the day they wrest my words, Concerning me all their thoughts [are] for evil,
5ഇടവിടാതെ അവര് എന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ കോട്ടിക്കളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളൊക്കെയും എന്റെ നേരെ തിന്മെക്കായിട്ടാകുന്നു.
6They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.
6അവര് കൂട്ടംകൂടി ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി പതിയിരിക്കുമ്പോലെ അവര് എന്റെ കാലടികളെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
7By iniquity they escape, In anger the peoples put down, O God.
7നീതികേടിനാല് അവര് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുമോ? ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ കോപത്തില് ജാതികളെ തള്ളിയിടേണമേ.
8My wandering Thou hast counted, Thou — place Thou my tear in Thy bottle, Are they not in Thy book?
8നീ എന്റെ ഉഴല്ചകളെ എണ്ണുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീര് നിന്റെ തുരുത്തിയില് ആക്കിവെക്കേണമേ; അതു നിന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തില് ഇല്ലയോ?
9Then turn back do mine enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God [is] for me.
9ഞാന് വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് പിന് തിരിയുന്നു; ദൈവം എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമെന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.
10In God I praise the word, In Jehovah I praise the word.
10ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും; ഞാന് യഹോവയില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും.
11In God I trusted, I fear not what man doth to me,
11ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല. മനുഷ്യന്നു എന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് കഴിയും?
12On me, O God, [are] Thy vows, I repay thank-offerings to Thee.
12ദൈവമേ, നിനക്കുള്ള നേര്ച്ചകള്ക്കു ഞാന് കടമ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ അര്പ്പിക്കും.
13For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, Dost Thou not my feet from falling? To walk habitually before God in the light of the living!
13ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ജീവന്റെ പ്രകാശത്തില് നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തില്നിന്നും എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ഇടര്ച്ചയില്നിന്നും വിടുവിച്ചുവല്ലോ. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ എന്ന രാഗത്തില്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വര്ണ്ണഗീതം; അവന് ശൌലിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഗുഹയിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോയ കാലത്തു ചമെച്ചതു.)
