1A Psalm. — A Song for the sabbath-day. Good to give thanks to Jehovah, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High,
1യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നതും അത്യുന്നതനായുള്ളോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ കീര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതും
2To declare in the morning Thy kindness, And Thy faithfulness in the nights.
2പത്തു കമ്പിയുള്ള വാദിത്രംകൊണ്ടും വീണകൊണ്ടും ഗംഭീരസ്വരമുള്ള കിന്നരംകൊണ്ടും
3On ten strings and on psaltery, On higgaion, with harp.
3രാവിലെ നിന്റെ ദയയേയും രാത്രിതോറും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയേയും വര്ണ്ണിക്കുന്നതും നല്ലതു.
4For Thou hast caused me to rejoice, O Jehovah, in Thy work, Concerning the works of Thy hands I sing.
4യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികൊണ്ടു നീ എന്നെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കുറിച്ചു ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കുന്നു.
5How great have been Thy works, O Jehovah, Very deep have been Thy thoughts.
5യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് എത്ര വലിയവയാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങള് അത്യന്തം അഗാധമായവ തന്നേ.
6A brutish man doth not know, And a fool understandeth not this; —
6മൃഗപ്രായനായ മനുഷ്യന് അതു അറിയുന്നില്ല; മൂഢന് അതു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
7When the wicked flourish as a herb, And blossom do all workers of iniquity — For their being destroyed for ever and ever!
7ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് പുല്ലുപോലെ മുളെക്കുന്നതും നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും തഴെക്കുന്നതും എന്നേക്കും നശിച്ചുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നാകുന്നു.
8And Thou [art] high to the age, O Jehovah.
8നീയോ, യഹോവേ, എന്നേക്കും അത്യുന്നതനാകുന്നു.
9For, lo, Thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, Thine enemies, do perish, Separate themselves do all workers of iniquity.
9യഹോവേ, ഇതാ, നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്, ഇതാ, നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും ചിതറിപ്പോകും.
10And Thou exaltest as a reem my horn, I have been anointed with fresh oil.
10എങ്കിലും എന്റെ കൊമ്പു നീ കാട്ടുപോത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുപോലെ ഉയര്ത്തും; പുതിയ എണ്ണ എന്നെ തേപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
11And mine eye looketh on mine enemies, Of those rising up against me, The evil doers, do mine ears hear.
11എന്റെ കണ്ണു എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ കണ്ടും എന്റെ ചെവി എന്നോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്ന ദുഷ്കര്മ്മികളെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടും രസിക്കും.
12The righteous as a palm-tree flourisheth, As a cedar in Lebanon he groweth.
12നീതിമാന് പനപോലെ തഴെക്കും; ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുപോലെ വളരും.
13Those planted in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of our God do flourish.
13യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നടുതലയായവര് നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളില് തഴെക്കും.
14Still they bring forth in old age, Fat and flourishing are they,
14വാര്ദ്ധക്യത്തിലും അവര് ഫലം കായിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; അവര് പുഷ്ടിവെച്ചും പച്ചപിടിച്ചും ഇരിക്കും.
15To declare that upright [is] Jehovah my rock, And there is no perverseness in Him!
15യഹോവ നേരുള്ളവന് , അവന് എന്റെ പാറ, അവനില് നീതികേടില്ല എന്നു കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെ.
