1Sons of Judah: Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1यहूदाच्या मुलांची नावे अशी: पेरेस, हेस्रोन, कर्मी, हूर आणि शोबाल.
2And Reaiah son of Shobal begat Jahath, and Jahath begat Ahumai and Lahad; these [are] families of the Zorathite.
2शोबालचा मुलगा राया: त्याचा मुलगा यहथ. यहथाची मुले अहूमय आणि लहद. सराथी लोक म्हणजे या दोघांचे वंशज होत.
3And these [are] of the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister [is] Hazzelelponi,
3इज्रेल, इश्मा व इद्बाश ही एटामाची मुले. त्यांच्या बहिणीचे नाव हस्सलेलपोनी.
4and Penuel [is] father of Gedor, and Ezer father of Hushah. These [are] sons of Hur, first-born of Ephratah, father of Beth-Lehem.
4पनुएलाचा मुलगा गदोर आणि एजेरचा मुलगा हूशा ही हूरची मुले. हूर हा एफ्राथाचा मुलगा आणि एफ्राथा ही बेथलेहेमची संस्थापक होती.
5And to Ashhur father of Tekoa were two wives, Helah and Naarah;

6and Naarah beareth to him Ahuzzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari: these [are] sons of Naarah.

7And sons of Helah: Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.

9And Jabez is honoured above his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, `Because I have brought forth with grief.`

10And Jabez calleth to the God of Israel, saying, `If blessing Thou dost bless me, then Thou hast made great my border, and Thy hand hath been with me, and Thou hast kept [me] from evil — not to grieve me;` and God bringeth in that which he asked.
10याबेसने इस्राएलाच्या देवाची प्रार्थना केली. याबेस म्हणाला, “तुझा माझ्यावर वरदहस्त असू दे. माझ्या प्रदेशाच्या सीमा वाढू देत. तू माझ्यासमीप राहा आणि कोणाकडूनही मला इजा पोहोंचू देऊ नकोस. म्हणजे मी सुखरुप राहीन.” देवानेही त्याला त्याने जे मागितले ते दिले.
11And Chelub brother of Shuah begat Mehir; he [is] father of Eshton.
11शूहाचा भाऊ कलूब. कलूबचा मुलगा महीर. महीरचा मुलगा एष्टोन.
12And Eshton begat Beth-Rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah father of Ir-Nahash; these [are] men of Rechah.
12बेथ-राफा, पासेहा आणि तहिन्ना ही एष्टोनची मुले. तहिन्नाचा मुलगा ईर-नाहाश. हे रेखा येथील लोक होत.
13And sons of Kenaz: Othniel, and Seraiah; and sons of Othniel: Hathath.
13अथनिएल आणि सराया ही कनाजची मुले. हथथ आणि म्योनोथाय ही अथनिएलची मुले.
14And Meonothai begat Ophrah, and Seraiah begat Joab father of the valley of artificers, for they were artificers.
14म्योनोथायने अफ्राला जन्म दिला. आणि सरायाने यवाबला जन्म दिला. यवाब हा गे-हराशीमचा संस्थापक. तेथील लोक कुशल कारागीर असल्यामुळे त्यांनी हे नाव घेतले.
15And sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and sons of Elah, even Kenaz.
15यफुन्ने याचा मुलगा कालेब. कालेबची मुले म्हणजे इरु, एला आणि नाम. एलाचा मुलगा कनज.
16And sons of Jehaleleel: Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
16जीफ, जीफा, तीऱ्या आणि असरेल हे यहल्ललेलचे मुलगे.
17And sons of Ezra [are] Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she beareth Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah father of Eshtemoa.

18And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered father of Gedor, and Heber father of Socho, and Jekuthiel father of Zanoah. And these [are] sons of Bithiah daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took,

19and sons of the wife of Hodiah sister of Nahom: Abi-Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
19मरदची बायको ही नहमची बहीण होती. मरदची ही बायको यहूदाकडील होती. मरदच्या बायकोच्या मुलांनी कईला आणि एष्टमोवा यांना जन्म दिला. कईला गार्मी लोकांपैकी होता आणि एष्टमोवा माकाथी होता.
20And sons of Shimon [are] Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-Hanon, and Tilon; and sons of Ishi: Zoheth, and Ben-Zoheth.
20अम्नोन, रिन्ना, बेन - हानान, तिलोन हे शिमोनचे मुलगे. इशीचे मुलगे जोहेथ आणि बेन-जोहेथ.
21Sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er father of Lecah, and Laadah father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of the service of fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;

22and Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who ruled over Moab and Jashubi-Lehem; and these things [are] ancient.

23They [are] the potters and inhabitants of Netaim and Gedera; with the king in his work they dwelt there.
23शेलाचे वंशज हे कुंभार असून ते नेताईम आणि गदेरा येथे राजाच्या चाकरीत होते.
24Sons of Simeon: Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;
24नमुवेल, यामीन, यारिब, जेरह, शौल हे शिमोनचे मुलगे.
25Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
25शौलचा मुलगा शल्लूम. शल्लूमचा मुलगा मिबसाम. मिबसामचा मुलगा मिश्मा.
26And sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.
26मिश्माचा मुलगा हम्मूएल. हम्मूएलचा मुलगा जक्कूर. जक्कूरचा मुलगा शिमी.
27And to Shimei [are] sixteen sons and six daughters, and to his brethren there are not many sons, and none of their families have multiplied as much as the sons of Judah.
27शिमीला सोळा मुलगे आणि सहा मुली होत्या. पण शिमीच्या भावांना फार मुले बाळे झाली नाहीत. त्यांची (कुदुंबे) मर्यादितच होती. यहूदातील इतर काही घराण्यांप्रमाणे त्यांचा विस्तार नव्हता.
28And they dwell in Beer-Sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-Shaul,
28शिमीच्या वंशजातील लोक बैर-शेबा, मोलादा व हसर-शुवाल,
29and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad,
29बिल्हा, असेम, तोलाद,
30and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag,
30बथुवेल, हर्मा सिकलाग,
31and in Beth-Marcaboth, and in Hazar-Susim, and in Beth-Birei, and in Shaarim; these [are] their cities till the reigning of David.
31बेथमकर्ाबोथ, हसर-सुसीम, बेथ-बिरी व शाराइम येथे राहत होते. दावीदराजा होईपर्यंत त्यांची तेथे वस्ती होती.
32And their villages [are] Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities,
32एटाम, अईन, रिम्मोन, तोखेन आणि आशान ही या पाच गावांची नावे.
33and all their villages that [are] round about these cities unto Baal; these [are] their dwellings, and they have their genealogy:
33बालापर्यंत पसरलेल्या खेड्यापाड्यांमधूनही ते राहत होते. आपल्या वंशावळींची नोंदही त्यांनीच ठेवली.
34even Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah son of Amaziah,

35and Joel, and Jehu son of Josibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,

36and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37and Ziza son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.

38These who are coming in by name [are] princes in their families, and the house of their fathers have broken forth into a multitude;

39and they go to the entrance of Gedor, unto the east of the valley, to seek pasture for their flock,
39ते खोऱ्याच्या पूर्वेला गदोरच्या सीमेबाहेरही जाऊन पोहोंचले. आपल्या गुरोमेंढरांना चरायला कुरण हवे म्हणून जमिनीच्या शोधात ते गेले.
40and they find pasture, fat and good, and the land broad of sides, and quiet, and safe, for of Ham are those dwelling there before.
40त्यांना चांगली गवताळ कुरणे मिळाली. तेथील जमीन विस्तीर्ण होती. ही भूमी शांत व स्वस्थ होती. हामचे वंशज पूर्वी या भागात राहत असत.
41And these who are written by name come in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smite their tents, and the habitations that have been found there, and devote them to destruction unto this day, and dwell in their stead, because pasture for their flock [is] there.
41हिज्कीया यहूदाचा राजा होता त्यावेळची ही हकीकत. ते लोक गदोरपर्यंत आले आणि हामच्या लोकांशी त्यांनी लढाई केली. हामच्या लोकांच्या राहुट्या त्यांनी उद्ध्वस्त केल्या. तेथे राहणाऱ्या मूनी लोकांनाही त्यांनी ठार केले. आजही या भागात मूनीलोक आढळत नाहीत. तेव्हा या लोकांनी तेथे वस्ती केली. मेंढरांसाठी कुरण असल्याने ते तेथे राहिले.
42And of them, of the sons of Simeon, there have gone to mount Seir, five hundred men, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head,
42शिमोनच्या घराण्यातील पाचशे माणसे सेईर डोंगरावर गेली. इशीचे मुलगे पलटया, नाऱ्या, रफाया आणि उज्जियेल यांनी त्यांना मार्गदर्शन केले. शिमोनी लोकांनी त्या ठिकाणी वस्ती असणाऱ्या लोकांशी चकमकी केल्या.
43and they smite the remnant of those escaped of Amalek, and dwell there unto this day.
43काही अमालेकी लोकांचा त्यातूनही निभाव लागला ते तेवढे अजून आहेत. त्यांना शिमोन्यांनी ठार केले. तेव्हा पासून सेईरमध्ये अजूनही शिमोनी लोक राहत आहेत.
