1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned hath Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah,
1इस्राएलचा राजा यराबाम याच्या कारकिर्दीच्या सत्ताविसाव्या वर्षी यहूदाचा राजा अमस्या याचा मुलगा अजऱ्या राजा झाला.
2a son of sixteen years was he in his reigning, and fifty and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,
2तेव्हा अजऱ्या सोळा वर्षांचा होता. त्याने यरुशलेममध्ये बावन्र वर्षे राज्य केले. त्याच्या आईचे नाव यखल्या ती यरुशलेममधली होती.
3and he doth that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Amaziah his father did,
3अजऱ्याचे वर्तन आपल्या वडीलांप्रमाणेच परमेश्वराने सांगितले तसे उचित होते. आपले वडील अमस्या जसे वागले तसाच हाही वागला.
4only, the high places have not turned aside — yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.
4परंतु उंचस्थानावरील पूजास्थळे त्याने नष्ट केली नाहीत. त्या ठिकाणी लोक यज्ञ करीत तसेच धूप जाळीत.
5And Jehovah smiteth the king, and he is a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelleth in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.
5परमेश्वराच्या अवकृपेने राजा अजऱ्या याला कुष्ठरोग झाला. मरेपर्यंत तो त्यातून बरा झाला नाही. तेव्हा तो वेगळा राहू लागला. त्याचा मुलगा योथाम याने राजाच्या या घराची देखभाल केली आणि तोच लोकांचा न्यायनिवाडा करु लागला.
6And the rest of the matters of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6अजऱ्याने जे केले ते सर्व ‘यहूदाच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात लिहून ठेवलेले आहे.
7And Azariah lieth with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers, in the city of David, and reign doth Jotham his son in his stead.
7अजऱ्याचे निधन झाले. दावीदनगरात त्याचे पूर्वजांशेजारी दफन झाले. त्याचा मुलगा योथाम त्याच्यानंतर राज्यावर आला.
8In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Zechariah son of Jeroboam over Israel, in Samaria, six months,
8यराबामचा मुलगा जखऱ्या याने इस्राएलवर शोमरोनमध्ये सहा महिने राज्य केले. यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याच्या कारकिर्दीचे तेव्हा अडतिसावे वर्ष होते.
9and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did his fathers, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
9जखऱ्याने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने निषिध्द अशी कृत्ये केली. याबाबतीत तो आपल्या पूर्वजांप्रमाणेच वागला. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याने इस्राएलला जी पापे करायला लावली तीच याने केली.
10And Shallum son of Jabesh conspireth against him, and smiteth him before the people, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.
10मग याबेशचा मुलगा शल्लूम याने जखऱ्याविरुध्द कट केला. इब्लाममध्ये त्याने जखऱ्याला ठार केले. आणि स्वत: राज्यावर आला.
11And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, lo, they are written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.
11जखऱ्याने ज्या काही इतर गोष्टी केल्या त्या ‘इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात लिहिलेल्या आहेत.
12It [is] the word of Jehovah that He spake unto Jehu, saying, `Sons of the fourth [generation] do sit for thee on the throne of Israel;` and it is so.
12अशा रीतीने परमेश्वराचा शब्द खरा ठरला. येहूच्या चार पिढ्या इस्राएलवर राज्य करतील असे परमेश्वराने येहूला सांगितले होते.
13Shallum son of Jabesh hath reigned in the thirty and ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigneth a month of days in Samaria;
13याबेशाचा मुलगा शल्लूम इस्राएलचा राजा झाला तेव्हा उज्जीया यहूदाचा राजा झाल्याला एकोणचाळिसावे वर्ष चालू होते. शल्लूमने शोमरोनमध्ये एक महिना राज्य केले.
14and go up doth Menahem son of Gadi from Tirzah and cometh in to Samaria, and smiteth Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.
14गादीचा मुलगा मनहेम तिरसाहून शोमरोनमध्ये आला त्याने शल्लूमला ठार केले. मग मनहेम स्वत: राजा झाला.

15शल्लूमने जे केले ते सगळे, तसेच त्याने जखऱ्याविरुध्द केलेला कट ‘इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात लिहिलेले आहे.
16Then doth Menahem smite Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it opened not [to him], and he smiteth [it], all its pregnant women he hath ripped up.
16शल्लूमच्या मृत्यूनंतर मनहेमने तिफसाहचा तसेच त्याच्या भोवतालच्या प्रदेशाचा पाडाव केला. लोकांनी नगराची वेस उघाडायला विरोध केला तेव्हा त्यांनाही नेस्तनाबुत करुन त्याने गर्भवती स्त्रियांनाही कापून काढले.
17In the thirty and ninth year of Azariah king of Judah reigned hath Menahem son of Gadi over Israel — ten years in Samaria.
17यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याच्या एकोणचाळिसाव्या वर्षात गादीचा मुलगा मनहेम इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला. मनहेमने शोमरोनमध्ये दहा वर्षे राज्य केले.
18And he doth the evil in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath turned not aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.
18मनहेमने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने गैर अशी कृत्ये केली. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याच्या ज्या पापांमुळे इस्राएलचा अध:पात झाला तीच पापे मनहेमने केली.
19Pul king of Asshur hath come against the land, and Menahem giveth to Pul a thousand talents of silver, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.
19अश्शूरचा राजा पूल इस्राएलवर चाल करुन आला. तेव्हा पूलने आपल्याला पाठिंबा द्यावा आणि आपले राज्य बळकट करावे या इराद्याने मनहेमने पूलला पंचाहत्तर पौंड चांदी दिली.
20And Menahem bringeth out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turneth back and hath not stayed there in the land.
20हा पैसा उभा करायला मनहेमने श्रीमंत आणि वजनदार लोकांवर कर बसवला. प्रत्येकाला त्याने वीस औंस चांदी करद्यापाने द्यायला लावली. मग ही रक्कम त्याने अश्शूरच्या राजाला दिली. तेव्हा अश्शूरचा राजा परत फिरला. इस्राएलमध्ये तो राहिला नाही.

21मनहेमच्या पराक्रमांची नोंद ‘इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात आहे.
22And Menahem lieth with his fathers, and reign doth Pekahiah his son in his stead.
22मनहेम मरण पावला आणि आपल्या पूर्वजांना मिळाला. त्याच्यानंतर त्याचा मुलगा पेकह्या नवीन राजा झाला.
23In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah hath Pekahiah son of Menahem reigned over Israel, in Samaria — two years,
23अजऱ्याच्या यहूदावरील राज्याच्या पन्नासाव्या वर्षी मनहेमचा मुलगा पेकह्या शोमरोन मधून इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला. त्याने दोन वर्षे राज्य केले.
24and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
24परमेश्वराने जे करु नका म्हणून सांगितले ते पेकह्याने केले. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याच्या ज्या पापांमुळे इस्राएलचे अध:पतन झाले तीच पापे पेकह्याने केली.
25And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, doth conspire against him, and smiteth him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, and he putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead.
25रमाल्या याचा मुलगा पेकह हा पेकह्याच्या सैन्याचा सरदार होता. पेकहने पेकह्याला मारले. शोमरोन मध्ये राजवाड्यातच त्याने हा वध केला. वधाच्या वेळी पेकह बरोबर गिलादमधली पन्नास माणसे होती. यानंतर पेकह राजा झाला.

26पेकह्याच्या सर्व पराक्रमांची नोंद ‘इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात आहे.
27In the fifty and second year of Azariah king of Judah, reigned hath Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, in Samaria — twenty years,
27रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला तेव्हा यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याचे बावन्नावे वर्ष होते. पेकहाने वीस वर्षे राज्य केले. पेकहाची कारकीर्द
28and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin.
28पेकहाने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने गैर अशी कृत्ये केली. नबाटचा मुलगा यारबाम याच्या पापांनी इस्राएलचा अध:पात झाला. पेकह त्याच मार्गाने गेला.
29In the days of Pekah king of Israel hath Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur come, and taketh Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removeth them to Asshur.
29अश्शूरचा राजा तिग्लथ-पिलेसर हा इस्राएलवर चाल करुन आला. पेकह इस्राएलचा राजा होता तेव्हा हे घडले. तिग्लथ-पिलेसरने इयोन, आबेल, बेथ माका, यानोह, केदेश, हासोर, गिलाद, गालील आणि सर्व नफताली प्रांत घेतला. तसेच तेथील सर्व लोकांना कैद करुन अश्शूरला नेले.
30And make a conspiracy doth Hoshea son of Elah against Pekah son of Remaliah, and smiteth him, and putteth him to death, and reigneth in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.
30एला याचा मुलगा होशे याने रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह याच्याविरुध्द कट केला. होशेने पेकहला ठार केले. पेकह नंतर मग होशे राजा झाला. उज्जीयाचा मुलगा योथाम यहूदावर राज्य करीत असल्याच्या विसाव्या वर्षी हे झाले.

31पेकहने जे पराक्रम केले त्याची नोंद ‘इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात आहे.
32In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel reigned hath Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah.
32उज्जीयाचा मुलगा योथाम यहूदावर राज्य करु लागला तेव्हा रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह इस्राएलमध्ये राज्यावर आल्यावर दुसरे वर्ष चालू होते.
33A son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,
33योथाम तेव्हा पंचवीस वर्षांचा होता. त्याने यरुशलेममध्ये सोळा वर्षे राज्य केले. सादोकची मुलगी यरुशा ही त्याची आई.
34and he doth that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Uzziah his father did he hath done.
34आपले वडील उज्जीया यांच्या प्रमाणेच योथामही परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने योग्य अशी कृत्ये करत होता.
35Only, the high places have not turned aside — yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places; he hath built the high gate of the house of Jehovah.
35पण त्यानेही उंचस्थानावरील पूजास्थळे नष्ट केली नाहीत. लोक तेथे यज्ञ करत, धूप जाळत. परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराला योथामने एक वरचा दरवाजा बांधला.
36And the rest of the matters of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
36“यहूदांच्या राजाचा इतिहास’ या पुस्तकात योथामने केलेल्या पराक्रमांची नोंद आहे.
37In those days hath Jehovah begun to send against Judah Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah.
37अरामचा राजा रसीन आणि रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह यांना याच वेळी परमेश्वराने यहूदावर चालून जायला उद्यक्त केले.
38And Jotham lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, and reign doth Ahaz his son in his stead.
38योथाम मरण पावला आणि आपल्या पूर्वजांशेजारी त्याचे दफन झाले. दावीद नगर या आपल्या पूर्वजांच्या नगरात त्याला पुरले. त्याच्या नंतर त्याचा मुलगा आहाज नवा राजा झाला.
