1And David speaketh to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah hath delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
1शौल आणि इतर शत्रू यांच्या हातून देवाने सोडवल्याबद्दल दावीदाने हे स्तुतिगीत म्हटले.
2and he saith: `Jehovah [is] my rock, And my bulwark, and a deliverer to me,
2परमेश्वर हा माझा दुर्ग माझा गड माझ्या सुरक्षिततेचा आधार
3My God [is] my rock — I take refuge in Him; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, My high tower, and my refuge! My Saviour, from violence Thou savest me!
3तो माझा देव माझ्या संरक्षणासाठी मी या दुर्गाच्या, देवाच्या आश्रयाला जातो. देव म्हणजे माझी संरक्षक ढाल आहे त्याचे सामर्थ्य माझे रक्षण करते. परमेश्वर म्हणजे माझी लपण्याची जागा, माझ्या सुरक्षिततेचे ठिकाण उंच डोंगरात असलेले. क्रूर शत्रूपासून तो मला वाचवतो.
4The Praised One, I call Jehovah: And from mine enemies I am saved.
4त्यांनी माझी चेष्टा केली. पण मी मदतीसाठी परमेश्वराचा धावा केला आणि शत्रूपासून माझा बचाव करण्यात आला.
5When the breakers of death compassed me, The streams of the worthless terrify me,
5(शत्रूंना माझा जीव घ्यायचा होता) मृत्यूच्या लाटा माझ्याभोवती थैमान घालत होत्या. मृत्युसदनाला नेणाऱ्या पुराच्या लोंढ्यात मी सापडलो होतो.
6The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been the snares of death.
6कबरीचे पाश माझ्या भोवती आवळले होते. मृत्यूचा सापळा माझ्यासमोर तयार होता.
7In mine adversity I call Jehovah, And unto my God I call, And He heareth from His temple my voice, And my cry [is] in His ears,
7तेव्हा मी परमेश्वराचा धावा केला. होय, मी त्यालाच शरण गेलो. देव त्याच्या मंदिरात होता त्याने माझा धावा ऐकला. मदतीसाठी केलेला माझा आक्रोश त्याने ऐकला.
8And shake and tremble doth the earth, Foundations of the heavens are troubled, And are shaken, for He hath wrath!
8तेव्हा धरती डळमळली, हादरली स्वर्गाचा पाया थरथरला कारण देवाचा कोप झाला होता.
9Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils. And fire from His mouth devoureth, Brands have been kindled by it.
9त्याच्या नाकपुड्यांतून धूर निघत होता. मुखातून अग्निज्वाळा बाहेर पडत होत्या ठिणग्या बरसत होत्या.
10And He inclineth heaven, and cometh down, And thick darkness [is] under His feet.
10आकाश फाडून परमेश्वर खाली अवतरला. काव्व्याकुटृ ढगावर उभा राहिला.
11And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And is seen on the wings of the wind.
11करुबावर आरुढ होऊन तो उडत होता. वाऱ्यावर स्वार झाला होता.
12And He setteth darkness Round about Him — tabernacles, Darkness of waters — thick clouds of the skies.
12परमेश्वराने दाट काळे ढग स्वत:भोवती तंबू सारखे वेढून घेतले होते. त्याने त्या दाट गडगडणाऱ्या मेघामध्ये पाणी भरुन ठेवले होते.
13From the brightness before Him Were brands of fire kindled!
13त्याचा एवढा प्रखर प्रकाश पडला की निखारे धगधगू लागले.
14Thunder from the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice.
14परमेश्वर आकाशातून गरजला त्याचा आवाज सर्वत्र दुमदुमला
15And He sendeth forth arrows, And scattereth them; Lightning, and troubleth them;
15त्याने विजांचे बाण सोडले आणि शत्रूची दाणादाण उडाली. परमेश्वराने विजा पाठवल्या आणि लोक भीतीने सैरावैरा पळाले
16And seen are the streams of the sea, Revealed are foundations of the world, By the rebuke of Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of His anger.
16परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या घनगंभीर आवाजात तू बोललास तेव्हा तुझ्या नाकपुड्यातील सोसाट्याच्या उच्छ्वासाने (समुद्राचे पाणीही मागे हटले) समुद्राचा तळ दिसू लागला, पृथ्वीचा पाया उघडा पडला.
17He sendeth from above — He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.
17मला परमेश्वराने आधार दिला वरुन तो खाली आला. मला धरून त्याने संकटांच्या खोल पाण्यातून बाहेर काढले.
18He delivereth me from my strong enemy, From those hating me, For they were stronger than I.
18शत्रू मला वरचढ होता. त्यांना माझा मत्सर वाटला. शत्रू बलाढ्य होता पण परमेश्वराने मला वाचवले.
19They are before me in a day of my calamity, And Jehovah is my support,
19मी अडचणीत होतो तेव्हा शत्रूने माझ्यावर हल्ला केला. पण देवाने मला आधार दिला.
20And He bringeth me out to a large place, He draweth me out for He delighted in me.
20परमेश्वराचा माझ्यावर लोभ आहे म्हणून त्याने मला सोडवले. मला त्याने सुरक्षित स्थळी नेले.
21Jehovah recompenseth me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.
21मी केले त्याचे फळ परमेश्वर मला देईल कारण मी योग्य तेच केले. मी गैर काही केले नाही, तेव्हा त्याचे चांगले फळ तो मला देईल.
22For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.
22कारण मी परमेश्वराचे आज्ञापालन केले. देवाविरुध्द कोणताही आपराध मी केला नाही.
23For all His judgments [are] before me, As to His statutes, I turn not from them.
23परमेश्वराचे निर्णय मी नेहमी ध्यानात ठेवतो. त्याच्या नियमांचे पालन करतो.
24And I am perfect before Him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.
24माझे आचरण शुध्द आणि निर्दोष आहे.
25And Jehovah returneth to me, According to my righteousness, According to my cleanness before His eyes.
25तेव्हा परमेश्वर त्याचे फळ मला देणारच. कारण माझी वर्तणूक योग्य आहे. त्याच्या दृष्टीने मी वावगे केलेले नाही. तेव्हा तो माझे भले करील.
26With the kind Thou shewest Thyself kind, With the perfect man Thou shewest Thyself perfect,
26एखाद्याचे आपल्यावर खरे प्रेम असेल तर आपणही त्याची भरपाई खऱ्या प्रेमाने करु. तो आपल्याशी प्रामाणिक असेल तर आपणही प्रामाणिक राहू.
27With the pure Thou shewest Thyself pure, And with the perverse Thou shewest Thyself a wrestler.
27परमेश्वरा, जे लोक चांगले आणि शुध्द आचरणाचे आहेत त्यांच्याशी तूही तसाच वागतोस. पण दुष्ट आणि बदमाशांशी तूही कुटिलतेने वागतोस.
28And the poor people Thou dost save, And Thine eyes on the high causest to fall.
28परमेश्वरा, दीनांना तू मदत करतोस, गर्विष्ठांना धडा शिकवतोस
29For Thou [art] my lamp, O Jehovah, And Jehovah doth lighten my darkness.
29परमेश्वरा, तू माझा दीप आहेस माझ्या भोवतीचा अंधकार तू उजळवून टाकतोस
30For by Thee I run — a troop, By my God I leap a wall.
30परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या मदतीनेच मी सैन्यावर चाल करु शकतो. देवाच्या मदतीनेचमी शत्रूंची भिंतसुध्दा पार करु शकतो.
31God! Perfect [is] His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield He [is] to all those trusting in Him.
31देवाची सत्ता सर्वंकष आहे. देवाचे वचन कसोटीला उतरलेले आहे. जे त्याच्यावर भरवसा टाकतात त्यांचे तो रक्षण करतो.
32For who is God save Jehovah? And who a Rock save our God?
32या परमेश्वरा खेरीज दुसरा देव कोणता? याच्याखेरीज भक्क म दुर्ग कोण?
33God — my bulwark, [my] strength, And He maketh perfect my way;
33देव माझा मजबूत दुर्ग आहे. सात्विक लोकांना तो आपल्या मार्गाने नेतो.
34Making my feet like hinds, And on my high places causeth me to stand,
34देव मला हरणासारखे वेगाने पळण्यास मदत करतो. तो मला आत्मविश्वास देतो उच्च स्थानावर तो मला अढक ठेवतो.
35Teaching my hands for battle, And brought down was a bow of brass by mine arms,
35युध्दकलेत तो मला तरबेज बनवतो त्यामुळे माझे बाहू भक्कम धनुष्याने शिरसंधान करु शकतात.
36And Thou givest to me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy lowliness maketh me great.
36देवा, तूच मला वाचवलेस आणि जिंकायला मदत केलीस. शत्रूचा पाडाव करण्यात मला हात दिलास.
37Thou enlargest my step under me, And mine ankles have not slidden.
37माझ्या पायांत बळ दे म्हणजे मी न अडखळता ताठ चालू शकेन.
38I pursue mine enemies and destroy them, And I turn not till they are consumed.
38शत्रूंचा नि:पात होईपर्यंत मला त्यांचा पाठलाग करायचा आहे. त्यांचा उच्छेद होई पर्यंत मी परतणार नाही.
39And I consume them, and smite them, And they rise not, and fall under my feet.
39त्यांचा मी नाश केला. त्यांचा पराभव केला. आता ते शत्रू डोके वर काढू शकणार नाहीत. होय, ते माझ्या पायदळी तुडवले गेले.
40And Thou girdest me [with] strength for battle, Thou causest my withstanders to bow under me.
40देवा, युध्दात तू मला वरचढ केलेस. शत्रूचा पाडाव केलास.
41And mine enemies — Thou givest to me the neck, Those hating me — and I cut them off.
41त्यांना मला पाठ दाखवायला लावलेस, म्हणजे मी त्यांच्यावर वार करु शकेन.
42They look, and there is no saviour; Unto Jehovah, and He hath not answered them.
42शत्रू मदतीसाठी याचना करु लागले पण कोणीही त्यांच्या मदतीला आले नाही. त्यांनी देवाचा धावाही केला त्यानेही त्यांच्याकडे पाठ फिरवली.
43And I beat them as dust of the earth, As mire of the streets I beat them small — I spread them out!
43माझ्या शत्रूची मी खांडोळी केली. जमिनीवरच्या धुळीसारखे ते क:पदार्थ बनले. त्यांचा मी चेंदामेंदा केला. चिखल तुडवावा तसे मी त्यांना तुडवले.
44And — Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of my people, Thou placest me for a head of nations; A people I have not known do serve me.
44माझ्यावर जे चाल करुन आले त्यांच्यापासून तू मला संरक्षण दिलेस. त्यांच्यावर राज्यकर्ता म्हणून मला नेमलेस.ज्यांना मी कधी बघितले नव्हते ती राष्ट्रे माझे दास झाली.
45Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me, At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me.
45आता दूर देशचे लोक माझे ऐकतात, जेव्हा ते माझी आज्ञा ऐकतात, तात्काळ माझा शब्द मानतात. माझा त्यांना धाक वाटतो.
46Sons of a stranger fade away, And gird themselves by their close places.
46भीतीने ते गर्भगळीत होतात. हे परदेशी लोक जिथे लपून बसले होते ती जागा सोडून भीतीने थरथर कापत बाहेर येतात.
47Jehovah liveth, and blessed [is] my Rock, And exalted is my God — The Rock of my salvation.
47परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे. माझ्या दुर्गाची मी स्तुती करतो देव महान आहे. तो माझा रक्षणकर्ता दुर्ग आहे.
48God — who is giving vengeance to me, And bringing down peoples under me,
48त्यानेच माझ्या शत्रूंना धडा शिकवला. लोकांना माझ्या शासनामध्ये ठेवले.
49And bringing me forth from mine enemies, Yea, above my withstanders Thou raisest me up. From a man of violence Thou deliverest me.
49देवा, तू माझे वैऱ्यांपासून रक्षण केलेस. मला विरोध करणाऱ्यांचा पाडाव करण्याचे सामर्थ्य मला दिलेस. दुष्टांपासून मला वाचवलेस.
50Therefore I confess Thee, O Jehovah, among nations. And to Thy name I sing praise.
50म्हणून मी राष्ट्राराष्ट्रांमध्ये आभारपूर्वक तुझी स्तुतिस्तोत्रे गाईन. तुझे नामसंकीर्तन करीन.
51Magnifying the salvations of His king, And doing loving-kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed — unto the age!`
51परमेश्वर राजाला युध्दात विजयी करतो. आपल्या अभिषिक्त राजाबद्दल परमेश्वर खरे प्रेम दाखवतो. दावीद आणि त्याचे वंशज यांचे तो निरंतर कल्याण करील.
