1And it cometh to pass, when the king sat in his house, and Jehovah hath given rest to him round about, from all his enemies,
1राजा दावीद आपल्या नवीन घरात राहू लागला आणि परमेश्वराने त्याला भोवतालच्या सर्व शत्रूपासून विसावा दिला.
2that the king saith unto Nathan the prophet, `See, I pray thee, I am dwelling in a house of cedars, and the ark of God is dwelling in the midst of the curtain.`
2एकदा नाथान या संदेष्ट्यास दावीद म्हणाला, “इथे मी गंधसरुच्या लाकडापासून केलेल्या डौलदार घरात राहतोय आणि परमेश्वराचा पवित्र कोश मात्र अजूनही राहुटीतच आहे. त्या पवित्र कोशा साठी आता चांगला निवारा बांधायाला हवा.”
3And Nathan saith unto the king, `All that [is] in thine heart — go, do, for Jehovah [is] with thee.`
3नाथान राजाला म्हणाला, “आपल्या मनात आहे तसे करा. परमेश्वराची तुम्हाला साथ आहे.”
4And it cometh to pass in that night, that the word of Jehovah is unto Nathan, saying,
4पण त्यादिवशी रात्री नाथानला परमेश्वराचे वचन ऐकू आले. परमेश्वर म्हणाला,
5`Go, and thou hast said unto My servant, unto David, Thus said Jehovah, Dost thou build for Me a house for My dwelling in?
5“दावीद या माझ्या सेवकाला जाऊन सांग. “परमेश्वराचा निरोप असा आहे. माझ्यासाठी निवासस्थान बांधणारा तू नव्हेस.
6for I have not dwelt in a house even from the day of My bringing up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day, and am walking up and down in a tent and in a tabernacle.
6इस्राएल लोकांना मिसरमधून बाहेर काढले मी त्यावेळी कुठल्या ही घरात राहात नव्हतो, मी राहूटीतूनच फिरलो. तेच माझे घर.
7During all [the time] that I have walked up and down among all the sons of Israel, a word have I spoken with one of the tribes of Israel which I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, `Why have ye not built to Me a house of cedars?

8and now, thus dost thou say to My servant, to David: `Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, I have taken thee from the comely place, from after the flock, to be leader over My people, over Israel;
8“शिवाय दावीदाला हे ही सांग “सर्वशकितमान परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो. तू कुरणात मेंढरांमागे फिरत होतास तेव्हाच मी तुला निवडले आहे. तेथून तुला काढून मी तुला इस्राएल लोकांचा नेता केले.
9and I am with thee whithersoever thou hast gone, and I cut off all thine enemies from thy presence, and have made for thee a great name, as the name of the great ones who [are] in the earth,
9तू जेथे जेथे गेलास तेथे तेथे तुला साथ दिली. तुझ्या शत्रूंचा तुझ्यासाठी पाडाव केला. पृथ्वीवरील इतर महान लोकांप्रमाणे मी तुला सुप्रसिद्ध करीन.
10and I have appointed a place for My people, for Israel, and have planted it, and it hath tabernacled in its place, and it is not troubled any more, and the sons of perverseness do not add to afflict it any more, as in the beginning,

11even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel; and I have given rest to thee from all thine enemies, and Jehovah hath declared to thee that Jehovah doth make for thee a house.

12`When thy days are full, and thou hast lain with thy fathers, then I have raised up thy seed after thee which goeth out from thy bowels, and have established his kingdom;
12“तुझे जीवन संपुष्टात आले म्हणजे मृत्यूनंतर तुझ्या पूर्वजांशेजारी तुझे दफन होईल. पण मी तुझ्या मुलांपैकीच कोणालातरी राजा करीन.
13He doth build a house for My Name, and I have established the throne of his kingdom unto the age.
13तो माझ्या नावाप्रीत्यर्थ घर (मंदिर) बांधील. त्याचे राज्य मी नेहमीसाठी मजबूत करीन.
14I am to him for a father, and he is to Me for a son; whom in his dealings perversely I have even reproved with a rod of men, and with strokes of the sons of Adam,
14मी त्याचा पिता आणि तो माझा पुत्र असेल. त्याच्या हातून पाप घडले तर लोकाकडून मी त्याला शासन घडवीन. तेच माझे चाबूक
15and My kindness doth not turn aside from him, as I turned it aside from Saul, whom I turned aside from before thee,

16and stedfast [is] thy house and thy kingdom unto the age before thee, thy throne is established unto the age.`
16राजसत्ता तुझ्याच वंशात चालू राहील याचा विश्वास बाळग. तुझे राज्य अबाधित राहील. तुझे सिंहासन टिकून राहील.”
17According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spake Nathan unto David.
17नाथानने दावीदाला हा दृष्टांत आणि देवाचे सर्व बोलणे ऐकवले.
18And king David cometh in and sitteth before Jehovah, and saith, `Who [am] I, Lord Jehovah? and what my house, that Thou hast brought me hitherto?
18यानंतर दावीद आत जाऊन परमेश्वरासमोर बसला आणि म्हणाला, “हे प्रभो, परमेश्वरा, मला एवढी किंमत तू का देतोस? माझे घराणे तुला महत्वाचे का वाटते? तू मला एवढे मोठे का केलेस?
19And yet this [is] little in Thine eyes, Lord Jehovah, and Thou dost speak also concerning the house of Thy servant afar off; and this [is] the law of the Man, Lord Jehovah.
19मी केवळ तुझा सेवक आहे. (तुझ्या माझ्यावर किती लोभ आहे!) पुढे माझ्या वंशजांबद्दलही तू असाच लोभ दाखवला आहेस. सर्वांशी तुझा व्यवहार नेहमी असाच असतो का?
20And what doth David add more to speak unto Thee? and Thou, Thou hast known Thy servant, Lord Jehovah.
20मी आणखी काय बोलणार? प्रभु परमेश्वरा, तू तुझ्या सेवकाला जाणतोसच.
21Because of Thy word, and according to Thy heart, Thou hast done all this greatness, to cause Thy servant to know [it].
21तू करणार म्हणालास आणि तुला तसे करायची इच्छा आहे. तेव्हा या अदभुत गोष्टी खरोखरच घडतील. मला, तुझ्या सेवकाला, तू त्याची पूर्णकल्पनाही द्यायचे ठरवलेस.
22Therefore Thou hast been great, Jehovah God, for there is none like Thee, and there is no God save Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
22माझ्या प्रभो परमेश्वरा, तू खरोखरच महान आहेस. तुझ्यासारखा कोणी नाही. तुझ्याखेरीज अन्य कोणी देव नाही. तुझ्या लीला आम्ही ऐकल्या आहेत म्हणून आम्ही हे जाणतो.
23`And who [is] as Thy people, as Israel — one nation in the earth, whom God hath gone to redeem to Him for a people, and to make for Him a name — and to do for you the greatness — even fearful things for Thy land, at the presence of Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed to Thee out of Egypt — [among the] nations and their gods?
23“पृथ्वीच्या पाठीवर इस्राएलसारखे राष्ट्र नाही. इस्राएलाची प्रजा ही खास प्रजा आहे. (ती गुलाम होती) तिला तू मिसरमधून सोडवलेस आणि मुकत केलेस. तिला आपली प्रजा मानलेस. इस्राएलांसाठी तू महान आणि अद्भुत चमत्कार केलेस.
24Yea, Thou dost establish to Thee Thy people Israel, to Thee for a people unto the age, and Thou, Jehovah, hast been to them for God.
24तू निरंतर त्यांना स्वत:च्या कवेत घेतलेस. तू त्यांचा देव झालास.
25`And now, Jehovah God, the word which Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant, and concerning his house, establish unto the age, and do as Thou hast spoken;
25“आता तर, परमेश्वर देवा, या तुझ्या सेवकासाठी काही गोष्टी सिध्दीस नेणार आहेस. तुझ्या वचनाप्रमाणे कृपा करुन तसेच होऊ दे. माझा वंश सतत राज्य करु दे.
26And Thy Name is great unto the age, saying, Jehovah of Hosts [is] God over Israel, and the house of Thy servant David is established before Thee,
26मग तुझ्या नावाचा महिमा वाढेल. लोक म्हणतील, “सर्वशकितमान परमेश्वर देवाची इस्राएलवर सत्ता आहे. तुझी सेवा करायला सेवक दावीद याच्या घराण्याला बळ मिळू दे.’
27For Thou, Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Thou hast uncovered the ear of Thy servant, saying, A house I build for thee, therefore hath Thy servant found his heart to pray unto Thee this prayer;
27“सर्वशकितमान परमेश्वरा, इस्राएलाच्या देवा, तूच हे मला दाखवले आहेस. तू म्हणालास, “मी तुझ्यासाठी घर बांधीन’ म्हणून मी, तुझा सेवक तुझ्यापुढे ही प्रार्थना करण्याचे साहस करत आहे.
28And now, Lord Jehovah, Thou [art] God Himself, and Thy words are truth, and Thou speakest unto Thy servant this goodness,
28प्रभो, परमेश्वरा तूच आमचा देव आहेस. तुझ्या सांगण्यावर माझा पूर्ण भरंवसा आहे. या सर्व चांगल्या गोष्टी माझ्याबाबतीत तुझ्या या सेवकाच्या बाबतीत घडणार आहेत असे तू म्हणालास.
29And now, begin and bless the house of Thy servant, to be unto the age before Thee, for Thou, Lord Jehovah, hast spoken, and by Thy blessing is the house of Thy servant blessed — to the age.`
29आता माझ्या घराण्याला आशीर्वाद दे. माझा वंश सातत्याने चालू दे. हे प्रभो परमेश्वरा तूच तसे म्हणाला आहेस आमच्यावर तुझ्या आशीर्वादाचे छत्र कायमचे राहील असा तुझा आशीर्वाद आहे.”
