¹`And thou hast made an altar [for] making perfume; [of] shittim wood thou dost make it;

¹देव मोशेला म्हणाला, “धूप जाळण्यासाठी बाभळीच्या लाकडाची एक वेदी करावी.

²a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth, (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns [are] of the same.

²ती चौरस असावी; ती आठरा इंच लांब व आठरा इंच रुंद असावी, आणि ती छत्तीस इंच उंच असावी; तिच्या चारही कोपऱ्यांना शिंगे असावीत; ती वेदीच्या एकाच अखंड लाकडाची करावी.

³`And thou hast overlaid it with pure gold, its top, and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou hast made to it a crown of gold round about;

³वेदीचा वरचा भाग व तिच्या चारही बाजू शुद्ध सोन्याने मढवाव्यात आणि वेदीभोवती सोन्याचा कंगोरा करावा.

⁴and two rings of gold thou dost make to it under its crown; on its two ribs thou dost make [them], on its two sides, and they have become places for staves, to bear it with them.

⁴त्या कंगोऱ्याखाली वेदीच्या एकमेकींच्या विरुद्ध बाजूंना सोन्याच्या दोन दोन गोल कड्या असाव्यात; त्यांच्यात दांडे घालून वेदी उचलून नेण्याकरता त्यांच्या उपयोग होईल.

⁵`And thou hast made the staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold;

⁵हे दांडे बाभळीच्या लाकडाचे करुन ते सोन्याने मढवावेत.

⁶and thou hast put it before the vail, which [is] by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat which [is] over the testimony, whither I am met with thee.

⁶वेदी अंतरपटासमोर ठेवावी; आज्ञापटाचा कोश अंतरपटाच्या मागे असेल; आज्ञापटाच्या कोशावर असणाऱ्या दयासनासमोर वेदी असेल; ह्याच ठिकाणी मी तुला भेटत जाईन.

⁷`And Aaron hath made perfume on it, perfume of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right he doth perfume it,

⁷“अहरोन दिव्याची तेलवात करण्यासाठी येईल त्या प्रत्येक सकाळी दररोज त्याने वेदीवर संगधी धूप जाळावा;

⁸and in Aaron`s causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he doth perfume it; a continual perfume before Jehovah to your generations.

⁸पुन्हा संध्याकाळी अहरोन दिवे लावण्यासाठी येईल तेव्हा त्याने वेदीवर सुंगधी धूप जाळावा; याप्रमाणे दररोज परमेश्वरापुढे सुंगधी धूप सतत पिढयानपिढया जाळावा.

⁹`Ye do not cause strange perfume to go up upon it, and burnt-offering, and present, and libation ye do not pour out on it;

⁹तिच्यावर दुसऱ्या कोणत्याही प्रकारचा धूप जाळू नये किंवा हव्य अर्पण करू नये; तसेच अन्नार्पण किंवा पेयार्पण अर्पण करू नये.

¹⁰and Aaron hath made atonement on its horns, once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year doth he make atonement for it, to your generations; it [is] most holy to Jehovah.`

¹⁰“अहरोनाने वर्षातून एकदा वेदीच्या शिंगावर प्रायश्चित्त करावे; लोकांच्या पापांची भरपाई करण्यासाठी अहरोनाने पापार्पणातील रक्त घेऊन ते वेदीवर अर्पण करावे. ह्या दिवसाला ‘प्रायश्चित दिवस’ म्हणावे. हे परमेश्वरासाठी परम पवित्र आहे.”

¹¹And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¹¹परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

¹²`When thou takest up the sum of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have given each an atonement [for] his soul to Jehovah in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered.

¹²“एकूण इस्राएल लोक किती आहेत याची तुला माहिती असावी म्हणून तू त्यांची शिरगणती करावीस; अशा प्रत्येक शिरगणतीच्या वेळी प्रत्येक इस्राएलाने स्वत:च्या जिवाबद्दल परमेश्वराला खंड द्यावा; जो कोणी असा खंड देईल त्याच्यावर भयंकर संकट येणार नाही.

¹³`This they do give, every one passing over unto those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs); half a shekel [is] the heave-offering to Jehovah;

¹³शिरगणती झालेल्या प्रत्येक इस्राएल व्यक्तिने पवित्र निवास मंडपातील अधिकृत मापाने अर्धा शेकेल खंडणी द्यावी. (एका शेकेलाचे वजन वीस ‘गेरा’ असते) हा अर्धा शेकेल म्हणजे परमेश्वराला दिलेले अर्पण होय.

¹⁴every one passing over unto those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, doth give the heave-offering of Jehovah;

¹⁴वीस वर्षे व त्याहून जास्त वयाच्या शिरगणती झालेल्या प्रत्येक इस्राएली माणसाने परमेश्वराला हे अर्पण करावे.

¹⁵the rich doth not multiply, and the poor doth not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.

¹⁵श्रीमंत माणसाने अर्धा शेकेलापेक्षा जास्त देऊ नये व गरीबाने अर्धा शेकेलापेक्षा कमी देऊ नये; सर्व जणांनी परमेश्वराला सारखेच अर्पण करावे; हे तुम्हाला आपल्या जिवाबद्दल प्रायश्चित्ताची खंडणी असे होईल.

¹⁶`And thou hast taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and hast given it for the service of the tent of meeting; and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.`

¹⁶हा पैसा इस्राएल लोकांकडून गोळा करावा आणि त्याचा दर्शनमंडपातील सेवेसाठी उपयोग करावा; हा पैसा म्हणजे परमेश्वराला आपल्या लोकांची आठवण राहण्याचा एक मार्ग होईल; लोक आपल्या जिवाबद्दल खंडणी देत राहतील.”

¹⁷And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¹⁷परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

¹⁸`And thou hast made a laver of brass (and its base of brass), for washing; and thou hast put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and hast put water there;

¹⁸“पितळेचे एक गंगाळ बनवून ते पितळेच्या बैठकीवर ठेवावे, त्यातील पाण्याचा हात पाय धुण्यासाठी उपयोग करावा; ते दर्शनमंडप व वेदी यांच्यामध्ये ठेवावे व ते पाण्याने भरावे.

¹⁹and Aaron and his sons have washed at it their hands and their feet,

¹⁹या गंगाळातील पाण्याने अहरोन व त्याच्या मुलांनी आपले हात पाय धुवावेत;

²⁰in their going in unto the tent of meeting they wash [with] water, and die not; or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister, to perfume a fire-offering to Jehovah,

²⁰दर्शनमंडपात व वेदीजवळ जाताना प्रत्येक वेळी त्यांनी आपले हात पाय धुवावेत; असे केल्यास ते मरणार नाहीत.

²¹then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they die not, and it hath been to them a statute age-during, to him and to his seed to their generations.`

²¹त्यांनी आपले हात पाय धुतलेच पाहिजेत नाहीतर ते मरतील; हा अहरोन व त्याच्या लोकांसाठी कायमचा नियम होय; अहरोनाच्या मागे त्याच्या पुत्रपौत्रांसाठी पिढ्यान्पिढ्या हा नियम लागू राहील.”

²²And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²²मग परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

²³`And thou, take to thyself principal spices, wild honey five hundred [shekels]; and spice-cinnamon, the half of that, two hundred and fifty; and spice-cane two hundred and fifty;

²³“उत्तमात उत्तम मसाले घे; अधिकृत मापाप्रमाणे बारा पौंड म्हणजे पाचशे शेकेल प्रवाही गंधरस; त्याच्या निम्मे म्हणजे सहा पौंड म्हणजेच अडीचशे शेकेल सुंगधी दालचिनी, बारा पौंड म्हणजे पाचशे शेकेल सुंगधी बच.

²⁴and cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, and olive oil a hin;

²⁴आणि बारा पौंड म्हणजे पाचशे शेकेल तज आणि एक हीनभर जैतुनाचे तेल घे.

²⁵and thou hast made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.

²⁵“व या सर्वाच्या मिश्रणाने अभिषेकासाठी पवित्र, सुंगधी तेल तयार कर;

²⁶`And thou hast anointed with it the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,

²⁶हे पवित्र तेल दर्शन मंडपावर व आज्ञापटाच्या कोशावर ओतून त्यांना पवित्र कर; या गोष्टींना विशेष महत्व आहे हे यावरून दिसून येईल.

²⁷and the table and all its vessels, and the candlestick and its vessels, and the altar of perfume,

²⁷तसेच मेज व त्यांवरील सर्व समान, दीपवृक्ष व त्याची उपकरणे, धूपवेदी,

²⁸and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;

²⁸तसेच होमवेदी व तिचे सर्वसामान आणि गंगाळ व त्याची बैठक ह्यांसर्वावर तेल ओतावे.

²⁹and thou hast sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;

²⁹त्यांना पवित्र करावे म्हणजे ती परमेश्वराला परमपवित्र होतील; ज्याचा त्यांना स्पर्श होईल ते पवित्र होईल.

³⁰and Aaron and his sons thou dost anoint, and hast sanctified them for being priests to Me.

³⁰“अहरोन व त्याच्या मुलांना तेलाचा अभिषेक कर म्हणजे ते पवित्र होतील. मग याजक या नात्याने ते माझी सेवा करतील;

³¹`And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, A holy anointing oil is this to Me, to your generations;

³¹इस्राएल लोकांना तू सांग की अभिषेकाचे तेल पवित्र आहे, पिढ्यान्पिढ्या ते केवळ माझ्यासाठीच वापरावे.

³²on flesh of man it is not poured, and with its proper proportion ye make none like it; it [is] holy; it is holy to you;

³²ह्या तेलाचा, ते साधे सुवासिक तेल असल्यासारखा कोणीही वापर करु नये; हे पवित्र तेल ज्याप्रकारे तयार केले तसे तेल कोणीही तयार करु नये; हे तेल पवित्र आहे आणि तुम्हालाही ते अगदी पवित्रच वाटले पाहिजे.

³³a man who compoundeth [any] like it, or who putteth of it on a stranger — hath even been cut off from his people.`

³³ह्या पवित्र तेलासारखे सुवासिक तेल जर कोणी तयार करील किंवा ते कोणा परकीयाला देईल तर त्याला आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर काढून टाकावे.”

³⁴And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Take to thee spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;

³⁴नंतर परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला, “तू हे सुवासिक मसाले म्हणजे उत्तम गंधरस, जटामांसी, गंधा बिरूजा व शुद्ध धूप आणावेस. ह्या सर्व वस्तू समभाग घ्याव्यात;

³⁵and thou hast made it a perfume, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;

³⁵आणि गांध्याच्या कसबाप्रमाणे मिसळून त्यांचे सुवासिक धूप द्रव्य तयार करावे; तसेच त्यात मीठमिसळावे म्हणजे ते मिश्रण केलेल धूप द्रव्य शुद्ध व पवित्र होईल.

³⁶and thou hast beaten [some] of it small, and hast put of it before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, whither I am met with thee; most holy it is to you.

³⁶त्यातले काही कुटून त्याचे चूर्ण करावे, व ते दर्शन मंडपात पवित्र करारापुढे ठेवावे; ह्याच कोशापुढे मी तुला दर्शन देत जाईन; हे चूर्ण तुम्ही परमपवित्र लेखाचे.

³⁷`As to the perfume which thou makest, with its proper proportion ye do not make to yourselves, holy it is to thee to Jehovah;

³⁷या धूपद्रव्याचा फक्त परमेश्वरासाठीच उपयोग करावा; त्याच्या सारखे दुसरे धूप द्रव्य तुम्ही करु नये.

³⁸a man who maketh [any] like it — to be refreshed by it — hath even been cut off from his people.`

³⁸सुवासाचा आनंद घ्यावा म्हणून कोणी आपल्या स्वत:साठी असे धूप द्रव्य तयार करील तर त्याला आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर काढून टाकावे.”
