1And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
1मला परमेश्वराचे शब्द ऐकू आले, तो म्हणाला,
2`And thou, son of man, dost thou judge? dost thou judge the city of blood? then thou hast caused it to know all its abominations,
2“मानवपुत्रा, तू न्याय करशील का? खुन्यांच्या नगरीचा यरुशलेमचा तू न्यायनिवाडा करशील का? तिने केलेल्या भयंकर गोष्टीबद्दल तू तिला सांगशील का?
3and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: The city is shedding blood in its midst, For the coming in of its time, And it hath made idols on it for defilement.
3‘परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, असे तू तिला सांगितलेच पाहिजेस. नगरी खुन्यानी भरली आहे. म्हणूनच तिच्या शिक्षेची वेळ. लवकरच येईल. तिने स्वत:साठी अंमगळ मूर्ती तयार केल्या, आणि त्या मूर्तींनी तिला गलिच्छ केले.
4By thy blood that thou hast shed thou hast been guilty, And by thine idols that thou hast made thou hast been defiled, And thou causest thy days to draw near, And art come in unto thine years, Therefore I have given thee a reproach to nations, And a derision to all the lands.
4“यरुशलेमवासीयांनो, तुम्ही पुष्कळ लोकांना ठार केले. तुम्ही अमंगळ मूर्ती तयार केल्या. तुम्ही अपराधी आहात आणि तुम्हाला शिक्षा होण्याची वेळ येऊन ठेपली आहे. तुमचा शेवट आला आहे. इतर राष्ट्रे तुमची टर उडवितील. ती तुम्हाला हसतील.
5The near and the far-off from thee scoff at thee, O defiled of name — abounding in trouble.
5जवळचे व दूरचे तुमची चेष्टा करतील. तुम्ही तुमच्या नावाला काळिमा फासलात. तुम्हाला हास्याचा गडगडाट ऐकू येऊ शकतो.
6Lo, princes of Israel — each according to his arm Have been in thee to shed blood.
6“पाहा! यरुशलेममध्ये, प्रत्येक राज्यकर्ता दुसऱ्याला ठार करण्याइतका सामर्थ्यशाली झाला.
7Father and mother made light of in thee, To a sojourner they dealt oppressively in thy midst, Fatherless and widow they oppressed in thee.
7यरुशलेमचे लोक आई - वडिलांचा मान ठेवीत नाहीत. राहणाऱ्या परदेशींयांना ते त्रास देतात. ते विधवांना व अनाथांना फसवितात.
8My holy things thou hast despised, And My sabbaths thou hast polluted.
8तुम्ही लोक माझ्या पवित्र वस्तूंचा तिरस्कार करता. माझ्या विश्रांतीच्या खास दिवसांना महत्व देत नाही.
9Men of slander have been in thee to shed blood, And on the mountains they have eaten in thee, Wickedness they have done in thy midst.
9यरुशलेमचे लोक दुसऱ्यांबद्दल खोटेनाटे सांगतात. निष्पाप लोकांना ठार माण्यासाठी ते असे करतात. लोक, डोंगरावर, खोट्या देवांची पूजा करण्यासाठी जातात व सहभोजन करण्यासाठी यरुशलेमला येतात. “यरुशलेममध्ये, लोक पुष्कळ लैंगिक पापे करतात.
10The nakedness of a father hath one uncovered in thee, The defiled of impurity they humbled in thee.
10ह्या नगरीत, ते वडिलांच्या पत्नीबरोबर व्यभिचार करतात. रजस्वला स्त्रीवरही ते बलात्कार करतात.
11And each with the wife of his neighbour hath done abomination, And each his daughter-in-law hath defiled through wickedness, And each his sister, his father`s daughter, hath humbled in thee.
11कोणी आपल्या शेजाऱ्याच्या बायकोबरोबर व्यभिचार करतो, कोणी स्वत:च्या सुनेबरोबर संबंध ठेऊन तिला अपवित्र करतो, तर कोणी त्यांच्या वडिलांच्या मुलीशी म्हणजेच स्वत:च्या बहिणीवरच बलात्कार करतो.
12A bribe they have taken in thee to shed blood, Usury and increase thou hast taken, And cuttest off thy neighbour by oppression, And Me thou hast forgotten, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!
12“यरुशलेममध्ये, तुम्ही, लोकांना मारण्यासाठी पैसे घेता, उसने पैसे दिल्यास त्यावर व्याज आकारता, थोड्याशा पैशाकरीता शेजाऱ्यांना फसविता. तुम्ही लोक मला विसरले आहात. परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.
13And lo, I have smitten My hand, Because of thy dishonest gain that thou hast gained, And for thy blood that hath been in thy midst.

14Doth thy heart stand — are thy hands strong, For the days that I am dealing with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done [it].

15And I have scattered thee among nations, And have spread thee out among lands, And consumed thy uncleanness out of thee.
15मी तुम्हाला राष्ट्रां-राष्ट्रांमध्ये विखरुन टाकीन. मी तुम्हाला वेगवेगळ्या देशांत सक्तीने पाठवीन. ह्या नगरीतील अमंगळ गोष्टींचा मी संपूर्ण नाश करीन.
16And thou hast been polluted in thyself Before the eyes of nations, And thou hast known that I [am] Jehovah.`
16पण, यरुशलेम, तू अपवित्र होशील. इतर राष्ट्रे ह्या घटता पाहतील. मग तुम्हाला कळून चुकेल की मीच परमेश्वर आहे.”
17And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `Son of man,
17परमेश्वराचे शब्द मला ऐकू आले. तो म्हणाला,
18The house of Israel hath been to Me for dross, All of them [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, In the midst of a furnace — dross hath silver been,
18“मानवपुत्रा, चांदीच्या तुलनेत कास्य, लोखंड, शिसे व कथील कवडीमोलाचे आहेत. कामगार चांदी शुद्ध करण्यासाठी ती विस्तवात टाकतात. चांदी उष्णतेने वितळते आणि मग कामगार चांदीपासून टाकाऊ भाग वेगळा काढतात. इस्राएल हे राष्ट्र त्या टाकाऊ भागासारखे झाले आहे.
19Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of your all becoming dross, Therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto the midst of Jerusalem,
19म्हणून परमेश्वर, प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो. ‘तुम्ही सर्व लोक टाकाऊ भागासारखे झाला आहात. म्हणून मी तुम्हाला यरुशलेममध्ये गोळा करीन.
20A gathering of silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, Unto the midst of a furnace — to blow on it fire, to melt it, So do I gather in Mine anger and in My fury, And I have let rest, and have melted you.
20कामगार चांदी, कास्य, लोखंड, शिसे व कथील आगीत टाकतात. फुंकून विस्तव फुलवितात. मग घातू वितळू लागतो. त्याचप्रमाणे, मी तुम्हाला माझ्या आगीत टाकून वितळवीन. माझा भयंकर क्रोध हीच ती आग होय.
21And I have heaped you up, And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, And ye have been melted in its midst.
21मी माझ्या रागाच्या अग्नीत तुम्हाला टाकीन. तो फुंकून प्रज्वलित करीन. मग तुम्ही वितळू लागाल.
22As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, So are ye melted in its midst, And ye have known that I, Jehovah, I have poured out My fury upon you.`

23And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:

24`Son of man, say to it, Thou [art] a land, It [is] not cleansed nor rained on in a day of indignation.
24“मानवपुत्रा, इस्राएलशी बोल ‘ती शुद्ध नाही’ असे तिला सांग. मी त्या देशावर रागावलो असल्याने, तेथे पाऊस पडणार नाही.
25A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst.

26Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst.
26“याजकांनी माझ्या शिकवणुकीचा नाश केला. माझ्या पवित्र वस्तू त्यांनी अपवित्र केल्या. त्यांना महत्व देत नाहीत. ते माझ्या पवित्र गोष्टी व इतर अपवित्र गोष्टी ह्यात फरक करीत नाहीत. शुद्ध व अशुद्ध गोष्टी सारख्याच मानतात. ते लोकांनाही ह्याबद्दल शिकवण देत नाहीत. माझ्या सुटृ्यांच्या खास दिवसांचा मान राखत नाहीत. त्यांनी माझे पावित्र नष्ट केले.
27Its princes in its midst [are] as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain.
27“यरुशलेमचे नेते, आपल्या शिकारीवर तुटून पडणाऱ्या लांडग्यासारखे आहेत. ते संपत्तीसाठी लोकांवर हल्ला करुन त्यांना ठार मारतात.
28And its prophets have daubed for them with chalk, Seeing a vain thing, and divining for them a lie, Saying, `Thus said the Lord Jehovah:` And Jehovah hath not spoken.
28“संदेष्टे लोकांना ताकीद देत नाहीत. ते सत्य झाकून ठेवतात. हे संदेष्टे, तटबंदीची दुरुस्ती न करता, वरवर गिलावा देऊन भगदाडे बुजविणाऱ्या, कामगारांप्रमाणे आहेत. त्यांना फक्त खोटेच दिसते. ते मंत्र-तंत्राच्या आधारे भविष्य जाणून घेतात, पण लोकांशी फक्त खोटेच बोलतात. ते म्हणतात ‘परमेश्वर, माझा देव, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो.’ पण हे सर्व खोटे आहे. परमेश्वर त्यांच्याशी बोललेला नाही.
29The people of the land have used oppression, And have taken plunder violently away, And humble and needy have oppressed, And the sojourner oppressed — without judgment.

30And I seek of them a man making a fence, And standing in the breach before Me, In behalf of the land — not to destroy it, And I have not found.
30“मी, लोकांना, त्यांच जीवनमार्ग बदलून, देशाचे रक्षण करण्यास सांगितले. मी तटबंदीची दुरुस्ती करण्यास सांगितले. लोकांना तटबंदीला पडलेल्या भगदाडाजवळ उभे राहून देशाच्या रक्षणाकरिता लढावे, अशी माझी इच्छा होती. पण कोणीही मदतीला आले नाही.
31And I pour out on them mine indignation, By fire of My wrath I have consumed them, Their way on their own head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!`
31म्हणून मी माझा जळता राग त्यांच्यावर ओतीन. मी त्यांचा संपूर्ण नाश करीन. त्यांच्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल त्यांना शिक्षा करीन. चूक सर्वस्वी त्यांची आहे.” परमेश्वर, माझा देव, असे म्हणाला.
