¹Bowed down hath Bel, stooping is Nebo, Their idols have been for the beast and for cattle, Your burdens are loaded, a burden to the weary.

¹बेल आणि नेबो माझ्यापुढे वाकतात. ते खोटे देव म्हणजे फक्त मूर्ती आहेत. लोक त्या मूर्तीना जनावरांच्या पाठीवर लादतात त्या मूर्ती म्हणजे वाहून न्यावी लागणारी फक्त ओझी आहेत. खोटे देव लोकांना दमविण्याव्यातिरिक्त काहीही करीत नाहीत.

²They have stooped, they have bowed together, They have not been able to deliver the burden, And themselves into captivity have gone.

²त्या सर्व खोट्या देवांना नमावे लागेल ते सर्व जमीनदोस्त होतील. ते पळून जाऊ शकणार नाहीत त्यांना कैद्याप्रमाणे धरून नेले जाईल.

³Hearken unto Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of Israel, Who are borne from the belly, Who are carried from the womb,

³“याकोबच्या वंशजांनो, आणि इस्राएलमधील वाचलेल्या लोकांनो, ऐका! तुम्ही आईच्या गर्भात असल्यापासून नेहमीच आधार देत आलो आहे.

⁴Even to old age I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, yea, I carry and deliver.

⁴तुम्ही जन्मल्यावर मीच तुम्हाला आधार दिला. आणि तुम्ही वृध्द झाल्यावर, तुमचे केस पिकल्यावरही मीच तुम्हाला आधार देईन, कारण मी तुम्हाला निर्माण केले. मी तुम्हाला आधार देतच राहीन व तुमचे रक्षण करीन.

⁵To whom do ye liken Me, and make equal? And compare Me, that we may be like?

⁵“तुम्ही माझी तुलना दुसऱ्या कोणाशी करू शकता का? नाही! कोणीही माणूस माझ्याबरोबरीचा नाही. तुम्ही माझ्याबद्दल सर्वच जाणू शकत नाही. माझ्यासारखे काही नाही.

⁶— They are pouring out gold from a bag, And silver on the beam they weigh, They hire a refiner, and he maketh it a god, They fall down, yea, they bow themselves.

⁶काही लोकांजवळ भरपूर सोने-चांदी असते. सोने त्यांच्या वटव्यातून गळत असते. चांदी ते तराजूने तोलतात. हे लोक कारागिराला पैसे देऊन लाकडापासून खोटा देव तयार करून घेतात. नंतर ते त्या देवाची पूजा करतात. त्याच्यापुढे नतमस्तक होतात.

⁷They lift him up on the shoulder, They carry him, and cause him to rest in his place, And he standeth, from his place he moveth not, Yea, one crieth unto him, and he answereth not, From his adversity he saveth him not.

⁷ते स्वत:च्या खांद्यांवरून तो खोटा देव वाहून नेतात. तो देव निरूपयोगी आहे. लोकांना त्यास वाहून न्यावे लागते. लोक मूर्ती जमिनीवर बसवितात. तो देव हालू शकत नाही. तो त्याची जागा सोडून लांब जाऊ शकत नाही. लोक त्याच्याशी ओरडून बोलले तरी तो उत्तर देणार नाही, तो देव म्हणजे फक्त एक मूर्ती आहे, ती लोकांना संकटातून वाचवू शकणार नाही.

⁸Remember this, and shew yourselves men, Turn [it] back, O transgressors, to the heart.

⁸“तुम्ही लोकांनी पापे केली तुम्ही त्याबद्दल पुन्हा विचार करावा. ह्या गोष्टी लक्षात ठेवा आणि खंबीर व्हा.

⁹Remember former things of old, For I [am] Mighty, and there is none else, God — and there is none like Me.

⁹पूर्वी घडलेल्या गोष्टी आठवा. मी देव आहे हे लक्षात ठेवा. दुसरा कोणताच देव नाही. ते खोटे देव माझ्यासारखे नाहीत.

¹⁰Declaring from the beginning the latter end, And from of old that which hath not been done, Saying, `My counsel doth stand, And all My delight I do.`

¹⁰अखेरीला काय होणार हे मी तुम्हाला आरंभीच सांगितले, फार वर्षांपूर्वी, ज्या गोष्टी घडल्या नव्हत्या, त्या मी तुम्हाला सांगितल्या म्हणजेच त्या गोष्टी घडण्यापूर्वी अनेक वर्षे मी त्या घडणार असल्याचे तुम्हाला सांगितले. मी योजतो, तसेच घडते मला पाहिजे ते मी घडवून आणतो.

¹¹Calling from the east a ravenous bird, From a far land the man of My counsel, Yea, I have spoken, yea, I bring it in, I have formed [it], yea, I do it.

¹¹मी पूर्वेककडून एका माणसाला बोलवीत आहे. तो माणूस गरूडासारखा असेल. तो अती दूरच्या देशातून येईल. आणि मी ठरविलेल्या गोष्टी तो करील. मी हे करीन असे तुम्हाला सांगत आहे आणि मी ते करीनच. मी त्याला घडविले आहे. मी त्याला आणीन.

¹²Hearken unto Me, ye mighty in heart, Who are far from righteousness.

¹²“तुमच्यातील काहीजणांना आपल्याजवळ प्रचंड सामर्थ्य आहे असे वाटते. पण तुम्ही सत्कृत्ये करीत नाही, माझे ऐका.

¹³I have brought near My righteousness, It is not far off, And My salvation — it doth not tarry, And I have given in Zion salvation, To Israel My glory!

¹³मी चांगल्या गोष्टी करीन. लवकरच मी माझ्या लोकांना वाचवीन. मी सियोनचे तारण करीन. आणि माझा गौरव इस्राएलला देईन.”
