1Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.
1स्त्रिये, सुखी हो. तुला मुले नाहीत. पण तू सुखी असावेस. परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “एकट्या असणाऱ्या बाईला. नवरा असणाऱ्या बाईपेक्षा जास्त मुले होतील.”
2Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not — lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.
2तुझा तंबू मोठा कर. तुझी दारे सताड उघड. तुझ्या घराचा आकार वाढव तुझा तंबू मोठा आणि मजबूत कर.
3For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,
3का? कारण तुझा पसारा खूप वाढणार आहे. खूप राष्ट्रातील लोक तुझ्या मुलांना येऊन मिळणार आहेत. तुझे वंशज राष्ट्रांची व्यवस्था लावतील आणि नाश झालेल्या शहरातून पुन्हा तुझी मुले वस्ती करतील.
4And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.
4घाबरू नकोस. तुझी निराशा होणार नाही. लोक तुझी निंदा करणार नाहीत. तुला ओशाळवाणे व्हावे लागणार नाही. तू तरूण असताना तुला लज्जित व्हावे लागले. पण आता तू ते विसरशील. पती गेल्यावर तुझी झालेली अप्रतिष्ठा तुला आठवणार नाही.
5For thy Maker [is] thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, And thy Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, `God of all the earth,` He is called.
5कारण तुझा पती हा तुझा निर्माता म्हणजेच देव आहे. त्याचे नाव सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर आहे. इस्राएलला वाचविणारा एक तोच आहे तो इस्राएलचा पवित्र देव आहे. आणि त्याला सर्व पृथ्वीचा पवित्र देव म्हटले जाईल.
6For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.
6तू परित्यक्ता स्त्रीप्रमाणे होतीस. तू मनातून फार दु:खी होतीस. पण देवाने तुला आपली मानले. पतीने तरूणपणीच सोडून दिलेल्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे तुझी अवस्था होती. पण परमेश्वराने तुला आपली मानले.
7In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,
7देव म्हणतो, “मी तुला सोडले ते थोड्या वेळापुरतेच. मी तुला माझ्यात सामावून घेईन आणि तुझ्यावर कृपा करीन.
8In overflowing wrath I hid my face [for] a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer — Jehovah!
8मला खूप राग आला होता म्हणून मी थोड्या वेळापुरता तुझ्यापासून लपून बसलो. पण मी तुझ्यावर अखंड कृपा करून तुझे दु:ख हलके करीन.” परमेश्वर, तुझा तारणहार असे म्हणाला.
9For, the waters of Noah [is] this to Me, In that I have sworn — the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth — So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.
9देव म्हणतो, “नोहाच्या काळात प्रलय आणून मी जगाला शिक्षा केली होती ते आठव. पण, पुन्हा प्रलय घडवून जग नष्ट करणार नाही असे वचन मी नोहाला दिले होते. त्याचप्रमाणे मी आता तुला वचन देतो की मी तुझ्यावर कधी रागावणार नाही आणि तुझी खरडपट्टी ही काढणार नाही.”
10For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one — Jehovah.
10परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “एकवेळ डोंगर नाहीसे होतील, टेकड्यांचे रूपांतर धुळीत होईल. पण माझी तुझ्यावरची कृपा कधीही नाहीशी होणार नाही. मी स्थापन केलेली शांती चिरंतन राहील.” तुझ्यावर कृपा करणारा परमेश्वरच हे सगळे सांगत आहे.
11O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,
11“बिचाऱ्या नगरी, वादळाप्रमाणे शत्रू तुझ्यावर चालून आले आणि कोणीही तुझे सांत्वन केले नाही. पण मी तुला पुन्हा उभारीन. तुझ्या वेशीच्या पायासाठी मी अतिशय चांगला चुना वापरीन. मी पाया घालताना इंद्रनील वापरीन.
12And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,
12वेशीच्या भिंतीवरील दगड माणकांचे बसवीन. वेशीच्या दारासाठी मी चकाकणारी रत्ने वापरीन. वेशीसाठी मी हिरेमाणके वापरीन.
13And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant [is] the peace of thy sons.
13तुझी मुले देवाला अनुसरतील. आणि तो त्यांना शिक्षण देईल. मग तुझ्या मुलांना खरोखरच शांतता मिळेल.
14In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.
14चांगुलपणाच्या पायावर तुझी उभारणी होईल. म्हणून क्रौर्य आणि भय यांपासून तू सुरक्षित असशील. तुला कशाची भीती बाळगण्याचे कारण पडणार नाही. कशापासूनही तुला इजा होणार नाही.
15Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!
15माझे कोणतेही सैन्य तुझ्याविरूध्द लढणार नाही. आणि समजा कोणी तुझ्यावर हल्ला करण्याचा प्रयत्न केलाच तर तू त्याचा पराभव करशील.
16Lo, I — I have prepared an artizan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.
16“बघ! मी लोहार निर्मिला. तो विस्तव फुलावा म्हणून हवा फुंकतो. मग तापलेल्या लोखंडापासून त्याला पाहिजे तसे हत्यार तो बनवितो. त्याचप्रमाणे मी ‘नाश’ करणारा घडविला आहे.
17No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!
17“लोक तुझ्याविरूध्द लढण्यासाठी शस्त्रे तयार करतील. पण ती शस्त्रे तुझा पराभव करणार नाहीत. काही लोक तुझ्याविरूध्द बोलतील पण जो असे बोलेल त्याला त्याची चूक दाखवून दिली जाईल.” देव म्हणतो, “देवाच्या सेवकांना काय मिळेल? त्यांना माझ्याकडून आलेल्या चांगल्या गोष्टी मिळतील.”
