1Saying, `Lo, one sendeth away his wife, And she hath gone from him, And she hath been to another man, Doth he turn back unto her again? Greatly defiled is not that land? And thou hast committed whoredom with many lovers, And turn again to Me, an affirmation of Jehovah.
1“एखाद्याने बायकोशी घटस्फोट घेतल्यास ती त्याला सोडते आणि दुसऱ्याशी लग्न करते. मग तो माणूस परत आपल्या बायकोकडे जाऊ शकतो का? नाही. जर तो माणूस त्या बाईकडे परत गेला तर तो देश ‘भ्रष्ट’ होतो. यहूदा, खूप प्रियकर (खोटे देव) असलेल्या वारांगनेप्रमाणे तू वागलीस आणि आता तुला माझ्याकडे परत यायचे आहे.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश होता.
2Lift thine eyes to the high places, and see, Where hast thou not been lain with? On the ways thou hast sat for them, As an Arab in a wilderness, And thou defilest the land, By thy fornications, and by thy wickedness.
2यहूदा, टेकड्यांच्या उजाड माथ्यांकडे पाहा. अशी एक तरी जागा आहे का की जेथे तू तूझ्या प्रियकराबरोबर (खोट्या देवांबरोबर) समागम केला नाहीस? वाळवंटात वाट पाहाणाऱ्या अरबांप्रमाणे, तू प्रियकराची वाट बघत रस्त्याच्या कडेला बसलीस. तू देश ‘भ्रष्ट’ केलास. कसा? तू खूप वाईट गोष्टी केल्यास. तू माझा विश्वासघात केलास.
3And withheld are showers, and gathered rain hath not been. The forehead of a whorish woman thou hast, Thou hast refused to be ashamed.
33 पाप केलेस म्हणून पाऊस पडला नाही. वळवाचा पाऊस तर अजिबात पडला नाही. पण तरी तुला लाज वाटत नाही. वारांगनेप्रमाणे तुझ्या तोंडावर निर्लज्जपणाचे भाव आहेत. तू तुझ्या कृत्यांबद्दल शरमिंदी होत नाहीस.
4Hast thou not henceforth called to Me, `My father, Thou [art] the leader of my youth?
4ण आता तू मला ‘पिता’ म्हणत आहेस. तू म्हणालीस, ‘मी लहान असल्यापासून तू माझा मित्र आहेस.’
5Doth He keep to the age? watch for ever?` Lo, these things thou hast spoken, And thou dost the evil things, and prevailest.
55 असेसुद्धा म्हणालीस, ‘देव नेहमीच माझ्यावर रागावणार नाही. देवाचा राग सतत राहणार नाही.’ “यहूदा, तू असे म्हणतेस, पण तू करता येतील तेवढी दुष्कृत्ये केली आहेस.”
6And Jehovah saith unto me, in the days of Josiah the king, `Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? She is going on every high mountain, and unto the place of every green tree, and committeth fornication there.
6योशीया यहुदावर राज्य करीत असताना, परमेश्वर माझ्याशी बोलला. परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “यिर्मया, इस्राएलने केलेली दुष्कृत्ये तू पाहिलीस ना? तिने माझा कसा विश्वासघात केले ते तू पाहिलेस. तिने प्रत्येक टेकडीवर आणि प्रत्येक हिरव्या झाडाखाली मूर्तींबरोबर व्यभिचार करुन पाप केले.
7And I say, after her doing all these, Unto Me thou dost turn back, and she hath not turned back, and see [it] doth her treacherous sister Judah.
7मी स्वत:शीच म्हणालो, ‘ही दुष्कृत्ये करुन झाल्यावर तरी इस्राएल माझ्याकडे परत येईल.’ पण ती माझ्याकडे परत आली नाही. इस्राएलने काय केले हे इस्राएलच्या विश्वासघातकी बहिणीने यहूदाने पाहिले.
8And I see when (for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery) I have sent her away, and I give the bill of her divorce unto her, that treacherous Judah her sister hath not feared, and goeth and committeth fornication — she also.
8इस्राएल विश्वासघातकी आहे आणि तिला मी दूर का पाठविले ते तिला माहीत आहे. तिने व्यभिचाराचे पाप केले म्हणून मी तिला घटस्फोट दिला हे तिला कळले आहे. पण ह्यामुळे तिची विश्वासघातकी बहीण भयभीत झाली नाही. यहूदाला भीती वाटली नाही. यहूदाने सुध्दा बाहेर जाऊन वारांगनेप्रमाणे व्यवहार केला.
9And it hath come to pass, from the vileness of her fornication, that the land is defiled, and she committeth fornication with stone and with wood.
9आपण वारांगनेप्रमाणे वागत आहोत ह्याची यहूदाला पर्वा नव्हती म्हणून तिने तिचा देश ‘भ्रष्ट’ केला. दगड आणि लाकूड यांपासून तयार केलेल्या मूर्तींची पूजा करुन तिने व्यभिचाराचे पाप केले.
10And even in all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned back unto Me with all her heart, but with falsehood, an affirmation of Jehovah.`
10इस्राएलची विश्वासघातकी बहीण (यहूदा) मनापासून माझ्याकडे परत आली नाही. परत येण्याचे तिने फक्त ढोंग केले.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश होता.
11And Jehovah saith unto me: `Justified herself hath backsliding Israel, More than treacherous Judah.
11परमेश्वर मला म्हणाला, “इस्राएल माझ्याशी निष्ठावंत नाही. पण विश्वासघातकी यहूदापेक्षा तिच्याकडे सबळ सबबी होत्या.
12Go, and thou hast proclaimed these words toward the north, and hast said, Turn back, O backsliding Israel, An affirmation of Jehovah! I cause not Mine anger to fall upon you, For I [am] kind, an affirmation of Jehovah, I watch not to the age.
12यिर्मया, उत्तरेकडे बघ आणि संदेश सांग: ‘इस्राएलच्या बेइमान लोकांनो, परत या’ हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश होता. ‘मी तुमच्यावर संतापायचे सोडून देईने. मी दयाळू आहे. ‘हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश होता. ‘मी कायमचा तुमच्यावर रागावणार नाही.’
13Only, know thine iniquity, For against Jehovah thy God thou hast transgressed, And thou dost scatter thy ways to strangers, Under every green tree, And to My voice thou hast not hearkened, An affirmation of Jehovah.
13तुम्ही पाप केले आहे एवढे तुम्हाला समजले पाहिजे. तुम्ही परमेश्वराच्या, तुमच्या देवाच्या, विरुद्ध गेलात तेच तुमचे पाप आहे. तुम्ही दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रातील मूर्तींना प्रत्येक हिरव्या झाडाखाली पूजले. तुम्ही माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या नाहीत.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश होता.
14Turn back, O backsliding sons, An affirmation of Jehovah. For I have ruled over you, And taken you one of a city, and two of a family, And have brought you to Zion,
14“तुम्ही लोक विश्वासघातकी आहात. पण माझ्याकडे परत या.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश होता. “मी तुमचा प्रभू आहे मी प्रत्येक नगरातील एक आणि प्रत्येक कुटुंबातील दोन माणसे घेईन आणि तुम्हाला सियोनला आणीन.
15And I have given to you shepherds According to Mine own heart, And they have fed you with knowledge and understanding.
15मग मी तुम्हाला नवे मेंढपाळ (शासनकर्ते) देईन. ते माझ्याशी निष्ठावान असतील. ते ज्ञान आणि समज ह्यांच्या सहाय्याने तुम्हाला मार्गदर्शन करतील.
16And it hath come to pass, when ye are multiplied, And have been fruitful in the land, In those days — an affirmation of Jehovah, They say not any more, `The ark of the covenant of Jehovah,` Nor doth it go up on the heart, Nor do they remember concerning it, Nor do they inspect, nor is it made again.
16त्या काळात, देशात तुमच्यापैकी बरेचजण असतील.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश होता. “त्या वेळेला, लोक पुन्हा कधीही असे म्हणणार नाहीत, ‘परमेश्वराच्या कराराचा कोश आमच्याजवळ असण्याचे दिवस आम्हाला आठवतात.’ येथून पुढे ते त्या पवित्र कोशाचा विचारसुद्धा करणार नाहीत.
17At that time they cry to Jerusalem, `O throne of Jehovah,` And gathered unto her hath been all the nations, For the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem, Nor do they go any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
17त्या वेळेला यरुशलेम नगरीला ‘परमेश्वराचे सिंहासन’ म्हटले जाईल. परमेश्वराच्या नावाचा मान राखण्यासाठी सर्व राष्ट्रे यरुशलेममध्ये एकत्र येतील. ह्या पुढे ते त्यांच्या दुरग्रही आणि दुष्ट मनांचे अनुसरण करणार नाहीत.
18In those days do the house of Judah Go unto the house of Israel, And they come together from the land of the south, unto the land That I caused your fathers to inherit.
18त्या दिवसांत यहूदाचे घराणे इस्राएलच्या घराण्याला येऊन मिळेल. उत्तरेकडच्या प्रदेशातून ते गोळा होऊन येतील मी त्यांच्या पूर्वजांना दिलेल्या भूमीत ते येतील.
19And I have said, How do I put thee among the sons, And give to thee a desirable land, A beauteous inheritance of the hosts of nations, And I say, My father — ye do call to Me, And from after Me ye do not turn back.
19“मी, परमेश्वर, स्वत:शी म्हणालो, ‘माझ्या स्वत:च्या मुलांप्रमाणे तुम्हाला वागवावे असे मला वाटते. इतर कोणत्याही राष्ट्रापेक्षा, तुम्हाला, सुंदर व आल्हाददायक भूमी द्यावी अशी माझी इच्छा आहे. ‘मला वाटले की तुम्ही मला ‘पिता.’ म्हणाल व नेहमीच मला अनुसरल.
20But — a woman hath deceived her friend, So ye have dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, an affirmation of Jehovah.
20पण तुम्ही पतीशी विश्वासघात करणाऱ्या पत्नीप्रमाणे आहात. इस्राएलच्या घराण्यातील लोकांनो, तुम्ही माझा विश्वासघात करीत आहात.” हा देवाचा संदेश होता.
21A voice on high places is heard — weeping, Supplications of the sons of Israel, For they have made perverse their way, They have forgotten Jehovah their God.
21उजाड टेकड्यांवरुन येणारा रडण्याचा आवाज तुम्ही ऐकू शकता. इस्राएले लोक रडत आहेत. ते दयेसाठी याचना करीत आहेत. ते फार पापी झाले. ते त्यांच्या परमेश्वर देवाला विसरले.
22Turn back, O backsliding sons, I cause your backslidings to cease. — Behold us, we have come to Thee, For Thou [art] Jehovah our God.
22परमेश्वर पुढे म्हणाल, “इस्राएलच्या लोकांनो, तुम्ही माझ्याशी विश्वसघात करता. पण माझ्याकडे परत या. माझ्याकडे परत या. जरी तुम्ही विश्वासघातकी असलात तरी मी तुम्हाला क्षमा करीन.” पण लोकांनी म्हणावे, “हो! आम्ही तुझ्याकडे येऊ तूच परमेश्वर आमचा देव आहेस!”
23Surely in vain from the heights, The multitude of mountains — Surely in Jehovah our God [is] the salvation of Israel.
23टेकड्यांवर मूर्तीची पूजा करणे मूर्खपणाचे आहे. डोंगरावर मोठ्या, दिखाऊ मेजवान्या करणे चूक आहे. इस्राएलचे पापविमोचन नक्कीच आपल्या परमेश्वर देवाकडून येईल.
24And the shameful thing hath devoured The labour of our fathers from our youth, Their flock and their herd, Their sons and their daughters.
24त्या भयानक खोट्या देवाने बआल देवताने आमच्या वडिलांच्या मालकीचे सर्व काही खाल्ले आहे. त्या खोट्या दैवताने आमच्या पूर्वजांची मुले व मुली गिळली. आमच्या तारुण्यापासून हे घडले. त्या भयानक खोट्या देवाने आमच्या वडिलांच्या मेंढ्या आणि गुरे आणि त्यांची कोकरे व वासरे घेतली.
25We have lain down in our shame, and cover us doth our confusion, For against Jehovah our God we have sinned, We, and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, Nor have we hearkened to the voice of Jehovah our God!
25लज्जेचे आपण अंथरुण करु या आणि पांघरुणाने आपण शरीर झाकतो तशी लाज आपण पांघरु या. आम्ही आमच्या परमेश्वर देवाविरुद्ध जाऊन पाप केले. आम्ही आणि आमच्या वडिलांनी पाप केले. आम्ही लहान असल्यापासून परमेश्वर देवाच्या आज्ञा पाळल्या नाहीत.
