1And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah a second time — and he [is] yet detained in the court of the prison — saying:
1यिर्मयाला दुसऱ्यांदा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आला. यिर्मया अजूनही पहारेकऱ्यांच्या चौकात कैद होता.
2Thus said Jehovah its maker, Jehovah its former, at establishing it, Jehovah [is] His name:
2परमेश्वराने पृथ्वी निर्माण केली आणि तो तिचे रक्षण करतो, परमेश्वर हेच त्याचे नाव. परमेश्वर म्हणतो,
3Call unto Me, and I do answer thee, yea, I declare to thee great and fenced things — thou hast not known them.
3“यहूदा, माझा धावा कर. मी ओ देईन. मी तुला महत्वाची रहस्ये सांगीन. ह्या गोष्टी तू पूर्वी कधीच ऐकल्या नसशील.
4For thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, that are broken down for the mounts, and for the tool;
4परमेश्वर इस्राएलचा देव आहे. परमेश्वर यरुशलेममधील घरांविषयी व यहूदातील राजांच्या राजवाड्यांविषयी पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, शत्रू ती घरे पाडील. नगरांच्या तटबंदीपर्यंत तो उतरंडी बांधील. शत्रू शहरांतील लोकांशी तलवारीने लढेल.
5they are coming in to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the carcases of men, whom I have smitten in Mine anger, and in My fury, and [for] whom I have hidden My face from this city, because of all their evil:
5“यरुशलेमच्या लोकांनी खूप वाईट गोष्टी केल्या. म्हणून मला त्या लोकांचा खूप राग आला. मी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध गेलो. मी तेथे पुष्कळ माणसे मारीन. बाबेलचे सैन्य यरुशलेमविरुद्ध लढण्यास येईल. यरुशलेमच्या घरांत खूप मृतदेह असतील.
6Lo, I am increasing to it health and cure, And have healed them, and revealed to them The abundance of peace and truth.
6“पण मग मी त्या नगरीतील लोकांना बरे करीन. मी त्यांना शांती आणि सुरक्षा ह्यांचा आनंद लुटू देईन.
7And I have turned back the captivity of Judah, And the captivity of Israel, And I have built them as at the first,
7यहूदा आणि इस्राएल यांना मी परत आणीन पूर्वीप्रमाणेच मी त्या लोकांना शक्तिशाली करीन.
8And cleansed them from all their iniquity, That they have sinned against Me, And I have pardoned all their iniquities, That they have sinned against Me, And that they transgressed against Me.
8त्यांनी माझ्याशी पापे केली. पण मी ती पापे धुवून टाकीन. ते माझ्याविरुद्ध लढले पण मी त्यांना क्षमा करीन.
9And it hath been to Me for a name of joy, For praise, and for beauty, to all nations of the earth, Who hear of all the good that I am doing them, And they have feared, And they have trembled for all the good, And for all the peace, that I am doing to it.
9मग यरुशलेम एक सुंदर ठिकाण होईल. लोक सुखी असतील दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रांतील लोक त्या नगरीची स्तुती करतील. यरुशलेममध्ये चांगल्या गोष्टी घडत असल्याचे ऐकून इतर लोक प्रशंसा करतील. मी इस्राएलला शांतता आणि हित प्राप्त करुन दिल्यामुळे त्यांना माझ्याबद्दल आदरयुक्त दरारा वाटेल व त्यामुळे ते कापतील.
10Thus said Jehovah: Again heard in this place of which ye are saying, Waste it [is], without man and without beast, In cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem, That are desolated, without man, And without inhabitant, and without beast,
10“तुम्ही लोक म्हणत आहात “आमचा देश म्हणजे ओसाड वाळवंट आहे. तेथे कोणी माणसे वा प्राणी राहत नाहीत.’ यरुशलेमच्या रस्त्यांवर व यहूदाच्या शहरात सध्या शांतता आहे. पण लवकरच तेथे कोलाहल सुरु होईल.
11Is a voice of joy and a voice of gladness, Voice of bridegroom, and voice of bride, The voice of those saying, Thank Jehovah of Hosts, for Jehovah [is] good, For His kindness [is] to the age, Who are bringing in thanksgiving to the house of Jehovah, For I turn back the captivity of the land, As at the first, said Jehovah.
11तेथे सुखाचे व आनंदाचे कल्लोळ उठतील. नव-वर-वधूंचे सुखसंवाद ऐकू येतील. परमेश्वराला अर्पण करण्यासाठी भेटी घेऊन परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात येणाऱ्या लोकांचे आवाज ऐकू येतील. ते लोक म्हणतील, ‘परमेश्वर देवाची स्तुती करा. परमेश्वर चांगला आहे. परमेश्वराची कृपा चिरंतन आहे!’ मी यहूदासाठी चांगल्या गोष्टी करीन. म्हणून लोक असे म्हणतील. ते सर्व सुरुवातीला जसे होते तसे असेल.” देवाने ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.
12Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Again there is in this place — that is waste, Without man and beast, And in all its cities — a habitation of shepherds, Causing the flock to lie down.
12सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “आता ही जागा निर्जन आहे. तेथे मनुष्य वा प्राणी कोणीही नाही. पण यहूदातील गावे माणसांनी गजबजतील. तेथे मेंढपाळ असतील आणि त्यांच्या मेंढ्यांना रवंथ करण्यासाठी कुरणेही असतील.
13In the cities of the hill-country, In the cities of the low country, And in the cities of the south, And in the land of Benjamin, And in the suburbs of Jerusalem, And in the cities of Judah, Again doth the flock pass by under the hands of the numberer, said Jehovah.
13मेंढ्या मेंढपाळांच्या पुढे चालत असताना. मेंढपाळ त्या मोजतील. सर्व देशातील लोक-डोंगराळ प्रदेशातील, पश्र्चिमेकडच्या डोंगरपायथ्याचे व नेगेव मधील लोक आणि यहूदातील इतर शहरांतील माणसे मेंढ्यांची मोजदाद करतील.
14Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have established the good word That I spake unto the house of Israel, And concerning the house of Judah.
14हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे. “मी इस्राएल आणि यहूदा येथील लोकांना विशेष वचन दिले आहे मी कबूल केलेल्या गोष्टी करण्याची वेळ येत आहे.
15In those days, and at that time, I cause to shoot up to David a shoot of righteousness, And he hath done judgment and righteousness in the earth.
15त्यावेळी दावीदाच्या वंशवृक्षाची एक चांगली शाखा मी वाढवीन ती ‘शाखा’ देशासाठी चांगल्या आणि योग्य गोष्टी करील.
16In those days is Judah saved, And Jerusalem doth dwell confidently, And this [is] he whom Jehovah proclaimeth to her: `Our Righteousness.`
16ह्या ‘शाखेच्या’ काळात यहूदातील लोकांचे रक्षण केले जाईल. लोक यरुशलेममध्ये सुखरुप राहतील. त्या शाखेचे नाव ‘परमेश्वर चांगला आहे” असे आहे.
17For thus said Jehovah: `Not cut off to David is one sitting on the throne of the house of Israel,
17परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “दावीदाच्या घराण्यातील माणूस नेहमीच सिंहासनावर बसेल व इस्राएलवर राज्य करील.
18And to the priests — the Levites, Not cut off from before Me is one, Causing a burnt-offering to ascend, And perfuming a present, and making sacrifice — all the days.`
18आणि याजक नेहमी लेवी घराण्यातील असतील. ते याजक नेहमी माझ्यासमोर उभे राहतील आणि ते मला होमार्पण, धान्य अर्पण करतील आणि बळीही अर्पण करतील.”
19And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying,
19यिर्मयाला परमेश्वराचा संदेश आला.
20`Thus said Jehovah: If ye do break My covenant of the day, And My covenant of the night, So that they are not daily and nightly in their season,
20परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “दिवस आणि रात्र यांच्याबरोबर मी करार केला आहे. ते निरंतर राहतील असे मी मान्य केले, तुम्ही तो करार बदलू शकत नाही. दिवस आणि रात्र नेहमी योग्य वेळेलाच येतील. तुम्ही जर हा करार बदलू शकला,
21Also My covenant is broken with David My servant, So that he hath not a son reigning on his throne, And with the Levites the priests, My ministers.
21तरच तुम्ही माझा दावीद व लेवी यांच्याबरोबर झालेला करार बदलू शकाल. मग दावीदाचे वंशज राजे होणार नाहीत आणि लेवीच्या घराण्यातून याजक येणार नाहीत.
22As the host of the heavens is not numbered, Nor the sand of the sea measured, So I multiply the seed of David My servant, And the Levites My ministers.`
22पण मी माझा सेवक दावीद आणि लेवीचे कूळ यांना मोठा वंश देईल. आकाशातील ताऱ्यांएवढी त्यांच्या वंशजांची संख्या असेल कोणीही आकाशातील तारे मोजू शकत नाही. अथवा समुद्रकाठच्या वाळूच्या कणांएवढी त्यांची संख्या असेल. कोणीही वाळूचे कण मोजू शकत नाही.”
23And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying:
23यिर्मयाला परमेश्वराचा पुढील संदेश मिळाला
24`Hast thou not considered what this people have spoken, saying: The two families on which Jehovah fixed, He doth reject them, And my people they despise — So that they are no more a people before them!
24“यिर्मया, लोक काय बोलतात, ते तू ऐकलेस का? ते लोक म्हणतात ‘परमेश्वर इस्राएल आणि यहूदा या घराण्यापासून दूर गेला. परमेश्वराने त्या लोकांची निवड केली होती.’ पण आता तो त्यांचा राष्ट्र म्हणून सुद्धा स्वीकार करीत नाही.”
25Thus said Jehovah: If My covenant [is] not daily and nightly, The statutes of heaven and earth I have not appointed —
25परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “माझा दिवस व रात्र यांच्याबरोबरच्या कराराचा जर भंग झाला आणि मी जर आकाश आणि पृथ्वी ह्यांच्यासाठी नियम केले नसते, तर कदाचित् मी त्या लोकांना सोडले असते.
26Also the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, I reject, Against taking from his seed rulers For the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, For I turn back [to] their captivity, and have pitied them.`
26मग कदाचित् याकोबच्या वंशजांचा मी त्याग केला असता आणि दावीदच्या वंशजांना, अब्राहाम, इसहाक व याकोब ह्यांच्या वंशजांवर राज्य करु दिले नसते. पण दावीद माझा सेवक आहे आणि मला त्या लोकांची दया येईल आणि प्रेम वाटेल. मी कैद्यांना पुन्हा त्यांच्या मायभूमीत परत आणीन.”
