1And Zophar the Naamathite answereth and saith: —
1नंतर नामाथीच्या सोफरने ईयोबला उत्तर दिले:तो म्हणाला,
2Is a multitude of words not answered? And is a man of lips justified?
2“शब्दांच्या या भाडिमाराला उत्तर द्यायलाच हवे. ह्या सगळ्या बोलण्याने ईयोब बरोबर ठरतो का? नाही.
3Thy devices make men keep silent, Thou scornest, and none is causing blushing!
3ईयोब, आमच्याजवळ तुला द्यायला उत्तर नाही असे तुला वाटते का? तू देवाला हसशील तेव्हा तुला कुणी ताकीद देणार नाही असे तुला वाटते का?
4And thou sayest, `Pure [is] my discourse, And clean I have been in Thine eyes.`
4ईयोब तू देवाला म्हणतोस, ‘मी जे बोलतो ते बरोबर आहे आणि मी शुध्द पवित्र आहे हे तू बघू शकतोस.’
5And yet, O that God had spoken! And doth open His lips with thee.
5ईयोब देवाने तुला उत्तर द्यावे आणि तू चुकतो आहेस हे तुला सांगावे असे मला वाटते.
6And declare to thee secrets of wisdom, For counsel hath foldings. And know thou that God forgetteth for thee, [Some] of thine iniquity.
6देव तुला ज्ञानाचे रहस्य सांगू शकेल. प्रत्येक गोष्टीला दोन बाजू असतात हे तो तुला सांगेल. तुला जेवढी शिक्षा करायला हवी तेवढी देव करत नाही हे तू समजून घे.
7By searching dost thou find out God? Unto perfection find out the Mighty One?
7“ईयोब, तू देवाला खरोखरीच समजू शकतोस असे तुला वाटते का? त्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवाला समजणे अशक्य आहे.
8Heights of the heavens! — what dost thou? Deeper than Sheol! — what knowest thou?
8त्याचं शहाणपण स्वर्गाच्या उंचीइतकं आहे, तू काय करु शकतोस? ते मृत्यूच्या ठिकाणापेक्षा शेओलपेक्षा खोल आहे. तू काय जाणू शकतोस?
9Longer than earth [is] its measure, And broader than the sea.
9देव पृथ्वीपेक्षा मोठा आहे आणि सागरापेक्षा महान आहे.
10If He pass on, and shut up, and assemble, Who then dost reverse it?
10“देवाने जर तुला कैद करुन न्यायालयात न्यायचे ठरवले, तर त्याला कोणीही अडवू शकत नाही.
11For he hath known men of vanity, And He seeth iniquity, And one doth not consider [it]!
11कवडीमोलाचा कोण आहे ते देवाला माहीत आहे. तो ज्या वाईट गोष्टी बघतो त्या त्याच्या लक्षात राहातात.
12And empty man is bold, And the colt of a wild ass man is born.
12रानटी गाढव माणसाला जन्म देऊ शकत नाही. आणि मूर्ख माणूस कधीही शहाणा होऊ शकणार नाही.
13If thou — thou hast prepared thy heart, And hast spread out unto Him thy hands,
13“पण ईयोब फक्त देवाची सेवा करण्यासाठी तू तुझ्या मनाची तयारी केली पाहिजेस आणि तू तुझे हात त्याची उपासना करण्यासाठी त्याच्या दिशेने उचलले पाहिजेस.
14If iniquity [is] in thy hand, put it far off, And let not perverseness dwell in thy tents.
14तुझ्या घरात असलेले पाप तू दूर ठेवले पाहिजेस. तुझ्या डेऱ्यात वाईट गोष्टींना थारा देऊ नकोस.
15For then thou liftest up thy face from blemish, And thou hast been firm, and fearest not.
15तरच तू उजळ माथ्याने देवाकडे बघू शकशील. तू न भीता सर्व सामर्थानिशी उभा राहू शकशील.
16For thou dost forget misery, As waters passed away thou rememberest.
16नंतर तू तुझे दु:ख विसरशील. तुझे दु:ख निचरा झालेल्या पाण्यासारखे वाहून जाईल.
17And above the noon doth age rise, Thou fliest — as the morning thou art.
17भर दुपारच्या सूर्य प्रकाशापेक्षाही तुझे आयुष्य चमकदार होईल. आयुष्यातील अंधार सकाळच्या सूर्याप्रमाणे चमकेल.
18And thou hast trusted because their is hope, And searched — in confidence thou liest down,
18नंतर तुला सुरक्षित वाटेल. कारण तेव्हा तिथे आशा असेल. देव तुझी चिंता वाहील आणि तुला विश्रांती देईल.
19And thou hast rested, And none is causing trembling, And many have entreated thy face;
19तू विश्रांती घेण्यासाठी आडवा होऊ शकशील आणि तुला कोणीही त्रास देणार नाही. तुझ्याकडे खूप लोक मदतीसाठी येतील.
20And the eyes of the wicked are consumed, And refuge hath perished from them, And their hope [is] a breathing out of soul!
20वाईट लोकही मदतीची अपेक्षा करतील. परंतु त्यांची संकटापासून सुटका नाही त्यांची आशा त्यांना मृत्यूकडे नेईल.”
